I replaced this windshield previously ~1-year ago when the technicians caused some damage to my vehicle. The service department denied that they "worked" in that area, so I chalked-it-up to something not worth fighting... Now, when I called around to replace again, Safelite gave me a quote that was substantially cheaper, but I would have to wait a couple weeks to schedule... OK, I'd be willing to wait for the price difference; however, two days before the 2-week scheduled date, Safelite decided to up the price (because of OEM required glass, which they should have known from day 1), they decide they cannot hold their estimate. Basically, I waited 2-weeks (my time & money) to spend the same as the quotes provided from a local supplier. read more

I didn't get my new winshield because when the service man came out, his price was $343 over the quoted price on thier website. I expected $445 and they show up and tell me the price will be $767. Be careful with these guys, I don't know if this is a scam they use to get the appointments booked and when they show up, they hit you with a price that is almost double!! Either way, I would look somewhere else for a windshield replacement. When your website asks all of the questions and you already know there are rain sensors, etc. before you quote the project, there is no reason to leave that out of the quote. read more

I can't comment on Safelite's windshield changing ability, but their staff is great. I was looking for a side mirror for a car, after some jackass broke ours. I went to safelite and asked if they could help. They told me they couldn't, but took the time to come out and actually inspect the mirror housing. They told me what they suggested and where to go for a replacement part. They could have just told me they didn't do that and I would have left, but they showed their professionalism. Our appointment was from 0800-1200. The tech came out and said that someone stole his window removal tool and he had to drive 45 min back to the office to get another one. I called him at 2:00 to see if he was coming back and he was at another appointment. Finally came back around 3:00 to finish mine. Very unprofessional in my opinion. storm came thru and a branch smashed my back windshield. i scheduled a day to get it repaired and when safelite came out there was supposed to be a heated windshield getting installed but there was a mix up on the day of installation most likely causing us to have to reschedule. Wrongly installed my rear driver's window. Should have been bolted in. Instead they sealed it, REALLY well. It shattered a little over a year later while applying a small amount of pressure to the edge of the glass. So now the dealership has to scrape the sealant off and apply a rust inhibitor prior to installing the window correctly with bolts. Lesson learned. The dealership actually would have cost the same for the replacement. read more

At this point, I can't say I am thrilled. First, we had to wait over a week while the, not in stock, windshield was ordered. Then the rep, very nice, removed the old windshield and installed the new one. Unfortunately, it was the wrong size, which was discovered only after the top was already sealed. So another new windshield was ordered, and I couldn't drive the vehicle for a couple of days until it could be installed. A new representative came out, removed the wrong size windshield one installed the new one. Later in the day, I drove the vehicle and there is very noticeable wind noise. So now, someone else is scheduled to come out and correct whatever problem is causing the wind noise. Everyone with Safelite was friendly. I just need the proper windshield installation, with no noise. read more

I give this business no stars. I could be doing something better with my time right now but I have to write this. I had an appointment for 7:30 this morning. I arrived on time and walked through the door, was not greeted properly. Instead, the 4 guys kept talking amongst themselves. They got a guy from the back to come inspect my truck and check me in. They interrupted him to inspect another truck, took that truck on back and then he came back to me. Another customer comes in and they treated him like royalty. They took his car on back. An elderly couple comes in (I would have done the same for the elderly) and they didn't have an appointment but they went outside to inspect their car. My truck still in the parking lot. Was there from 7:30 - 8:50. Long story short I left there and went to Gulf States Glass. Locally owned. Friendly. Quick. Great customer service. The app made me give one star. read more

I went in to have two small dings repaired. The guy obviously cracked my windshield in a completely different area of the windshield while working on it. He came to get me and told me that the 12 inch crack had been there and that we just didnt notice it when we i showed him where the repairs were needed.
