Since we were purchasing from out of state, he really went above and beyond to make the process easy. He FaceTimed us, sent plenty of videos, answered all of our questions, and got all the numbers together before I even made the trip out there. Once everything was lined up, I booked my flight, and Ivan made sure the entire process went smoothly when I arrived. He took his time showing me how pretty much everything worked,which I definitely appreciated, especially since I had about a 5-hour drive home! He also made sure the truck was cleaned up and ready before I arrived. Even the guys detailing the truck were super friendly, welcoming, and made the experience that much better. ( not to mention Ivan checked to make sure I made it home) Also, a big shoutout to the Finance Manager, Lon! He was extremely transparent and went through everything with a fine-tooth comb. The staff who answer the phone are always extremely nice, friendly, and professional. I've truly enjoyed every conversation I've had with them -- and there have been many. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ends. I purchased a vehicle on July 17th, 2025 via auction, and since mid-August I've had to call at least once a week just to get an update on the title status. Despite all these calls -- and multiple emails sent to the management team -- I've yet to receive a single follow-up email or return phone call. At this point, my only option is to share my experience publicly in hopes that someone from the dealership will respond. I was told I had an oil leak and needed a $200 diagnostic so they had my car all day no phone call and when I called at almost 5 they still had not looked at my car. So I had to pay to uber to and from work, etc. So no one calls to tell me what the outcome of the diagnostic was because my service rep wasn't in. Finally, tired of waiting, I called and I got a message of what I needed. I said yes, order the parts i will get it fixed. A few months later I called to see why I wasn't called to have my car repaired and was told a part was on backorder, this was in November, it is now May. $1273.99 That's the amount that I was overcharged for a service by Jason in the service department. I paid over the phone because they were closing before I could get there. So I gave my card information. They didn't tell me the price has changed or offer any information about it. When I got the alert showing the charge went through I saw the overcharged amount I made contact and suddenly they had a price increase on labor that I was never told about and that's why it shot up. This was after two weeks of trying to resolve the issue and being patient. Even with the increase in labor I was not informed about they still over charged by several hundred dollars. Nevermind the fact that I was told this was a two day job and they kept the truck for over 2 weeks. That increase in labor shouldn't have even been an issue had they delivered on time. Also Last time I checked if there are changes especially with labor rates mid job that is to shared with the customer and generally you are not raising the rate mid job buy target on all future jobs after a certain date. That is extremely shady business. The bottom line is they will lie to you and ghost you when they can't make up any more excuses for ripping you off. beware of these practices aimed to legally rob you. I had given a five star review in the past with Rachel. Rachel is still awesome in my book but I can not maintain a 5 star review after being robbed on this job. I purchased a used vehicle in March 2025. It started having problems three weeks later and by June it was still the same problem (dead battery). After speaking to another dealership about this problem, it was suggested they do a draw test - so I asked them to do that, which is when the real issue was discovered. It took three weeks for repair and they refused to honor my warranty. We are currently going back and forth over that - in JUNE their service person told me I had x amount miles left on my warranty - but when I went to pick up my vehicle with the $2100 bill - she told me my warranty ended in May. While driving on the highway close to Banner Ford, Mandeville, LA, last Friday, my Ford Transit Connect had a dangerous mishap. I jumped out into traffic and tried to remedy the problem, but the attempt was haphazard at best. I pulled off the road and into Banner Ford's Service area where I explained the problem to Rep. Amanda Talamo. Amanda immediately began an in-depth search of my ten-year-old van's full service and recall history, especially for what might connect to the present problem. I was impressed. Amanda then summoned the Service Manager, Jason Lane, for a consult. He told me he would immediately have his mechanics take a look to evaluate what issues may be involved and need addressing. WOW! That's FAST! I asked if I could make an appointment to have any needed work performed once the evaluation was completed, but Jason said, "Let's take one step at a time," and he asked me to just sit tight while they figured things out. I hung around and before I knew it, they had fixed the mishap as well as two recall items I did not even know about! Fitting me in on the spot on a busy Friday, being so thorough by determining any and all problems my van might need addressed and doing so with the loveliest smiles and warmth simply blew me away! Ms. Talamo and Mr. Lane could not have been more gracious, accommodating, consider and thorough in their work. Their Customer Service was Stellar! Gotta tell ya, these people know cars. This is the first time I have used a different organization to work on my 2011 CRV. Actually, I did not know Banner worked on different makes and models. Into the dealership I walked during a thunderstorm. As I was preparing to leave, I told them I was on my way to Baton Rouge to have my starter replaced. THAT is when I found out they did work on lots of different cars. (Full disclosure: I work at Banne r as a shuttle driver.) No one laughed at me, embarrassed me, or even shook their head sympathetically. Long story short, Jason Keller wrote the ticket and the mechanics did what they do best. I have been looking for a new car and have gone to other dealers who think 1k off sticker and a $500 rebate is a deal. This place was amazing! Not just for the sale but what they did after I bought the car. I received a call 2 days later to tell me they found an additional rebate and therefore could lower my interest rate. I went back and signed new papers and got a lower monthly note! WHO DOES THAT??? Talk about great customer service! Wow! Be sure to ask for " big" the best salesman ever! My salesperson, Phine, was great. When I had a warranty issue, the service department was not. I had windshield visibility problems since the day I got the truck, and Banner's service department unsuccessfully tried to clean the windshield on multiple occasions. Eventually I requested a warranty-replacement windshield, which Banner reluctantly filed with Ford. Ford denied the claim, saying that "outside sources" were responsible for the windshield visibility trouble, despite my evidence to the contrary. Banner made no further efforts to remediate the problem. I have filed a complaint with both the NHTSA and the Louisiana State Attorney General's Office and May pursue further legal recourse in the future. In addition to this, I have noticed several obvious quality-control lapses from Ford. When they sprayed the factory bed liner, for example, they didn't tape the front end of the bed evenly. They also didn't remove the tie down brackets and just sprayed around them so beneath the bracket is bare paint. It looks completely ridiculous. My takeaway is this: I won't be buying another Ford -- and that's a lot for me to say that. Neither Banner nor corporate Ford handled the situation appropriately, and I won't give them any more of my business. I advise others to do the same. read more

I bought a 2016 Ford Explorer platinum in Washington state before I moved home in 2017 to Louisiana. I moved to covington so I use banner Ford for my maintenance - I bought the service plan with the vehicle. The staff are rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Customer service is not something that Banner teaches or demands of their employees. I've had several recalls where I've had to wait there for hours or arrange for someone to pick me up because not once have they ever had a courtesy vehicle for me to use. Because of the awful experiences I've had at banner service I recommend not buying a Ford in this area because their service department is a nightmare and not worth the hassle. I brought my mustang to have the A/c repaired. The repairs were covered through warranty provided by a different dealership. Although my deductible is only 100$, I had to come out of pocket an extra 600$ to have repairs completed at their service department. My A/C works and blows cold, however their quoted hours estimate was absurdly high resulting in me covering what my warranty company said was much higher than they quote for the job. While my car was there they performed recall replacement without any of my consent. I had no knowledge of the work they performed until bringing my car back 3 days following their repairs because of a new warning light. They were quick to troubleshoot the issue but long story short, they tried to quote me and my warranty company another 300$ to replace a brake switch. I denied the work, purchased the switch and replaced in less than 4 minutes costing me only $22.00. Considering the quote for such a simple replacement I wish I would've brought my car somewhere else for the A/c and saved myself the few hundred dollars. I actually refused the work after talking to my warranty company regarding my cost for repairs, but was persuaded not to by a service department representative. They did do a free diagnostic to figure out what was causing the new light, which I'm grateful for. I recommend going to a home shop that prioritizes customer service and satisfaction. Unless my a/c goes out, I won't be bringing my car here again. read more

Be prepared to battle. I was very clear with the salesman what price i needed to be at. He assured me he could get there. I asked him 4 TIMES if he was sure, and he said yes every time. We start filling out paperwork, and suddenly the price we had agreed to had jumped up. I ask what happened? He acts confused, as if he doesn't understand it either. Goes to the manager and comes back and explains to me that the price i saw online was the lowest they could go, and it turns out we can't get to the price we discussed. The first issue I had with Banner Ford was when we purchased our expedition and the finance guy made an error. The finance guy goes by the name " Cowboy". He tried to pass his error on us and made it sound like it was our fault. I had to make sure he knew it was his fault. Blame the customer seems to be the way they operate. My husband and I sat in the lobby for over an hour waiting for the manager to come speak to us about the error. Guess what... He was too busy to come talk to us. Needless to say I was hot is a fire cracker I was not a happy customer. The second issue I had with Banner Ford was a car part (modem) that was ordered for us. The part came in and we told the service department that we could not come in right away that we would set up an appointment. (Death in family and prior commitments) It was about four weeks before we could go without a car to leave it there for a few days but we finally got in there. After we return home for dropping off the car at the service department the service guy called us and said the part was sent back. Why did they not call us???????? Well, I was upset because we do not live nearby. The morning was all about driving back-and-forth from Banner Ford from 7:30 AM to noon. I made it known that I was not a happy customer and that I will post my experience every place I can to inform the public to stay away from this dealership. Ok. Here we are, a year later. I traded my 2010 Ranger and found a 2015 F 150 King Ranch. I could not get it locally, and I looked at every truck at Banner, new and used. So I bought it elsewhere, with 17k miles on it. I also bought their super extended warranty package. It covers all service, any ford dealer, but not the battery. Last week, it was tough to start. Felt like a battery problem. I took it in the next day to Banner, described the issue, the service tech tested the battery and sure enough, 1 cell was bad. 30 minutes later, I had a new battery, covered under the Ford 36 month warranty, no service charge, and I was back on the road. I will start by saying that I did not jump to these conclusions lightly. I went to banner twice the 1st time for for a gas neck problem problem, tires and a rear hatch issue. The 2nd time was a few days ago. I went for a brake issue. The 1st time it took him a week and a 1/2 to put tires on, fix the rear hatch and to tell me that he still could not get the fuel neck in, but if I would like to pay the deductible from my warranty for all the parts he would call me when the fuel neck came in and I could bring my vehicle and he would have it put in with no problem. Needless to say he never called. So I bring my vehicle in the 2nd time for a brake booster issue, dome lights not coming on, the radio knob, and something else that I can't remember at the moment. When he calls me to tell me how much it will be he is the rudest person in the world in the world and tells me that I am out of warranty that I have a break problem which I'm aware of that he hasn't looked at any of the other things but it's gonna cost me $300 for the break issue $500 for another issue and 3 or 400 for another issue. So I told him no thank you I'll pay the fee for it being looked at and to leave the car alone. Then I asked if he would be so kind as to put the fuel neck in that I never received.. He then waited a few seconds looked up the old receipt and told me that I never paid for anything and that he couldn't do it for me. Now, I know dealerships are known to be shady shysty and thieves. But this is just flagrant... This guy remembered me, remembered my vehicle without me having to tell him, and knew who I was! He had never called me back to give me my property which I had paid the deductible on, nor did he care. We called Ford the parent company and spoke with customer service. They tried for a few days to get in touch with Gary, but according to them he never returned a call and never answered the phone when they called. They even tried multiple times to be transferred in from other departments to trick him into it, but apparently he's too good at evading. They wanted me to leave my vehicle there so that when they finally got in touch with him it would be easier to have the work done on the vehicle. I did that for a few days but I have 3 kids, 5 dogs, a wife, and too many sports and vet visits to leave one of my 2 cars at the shop for a week more. So when I picked the car up after paying their 3% credit card fee on top of the original fee, He had typed up that my vehicle was unsafe and undrivable. That my tires were bald, which was a lie, and that I had refused the work on my lights, my radio knob, and whatever else I'd asked him for, which he never quoted me on. All he was trying to do was cover his butt by saying he was warning us about the brakes and the tires to show that he truly cared about people. Screw him and screw Banner Ford. Please look past the few good reviews about this place because even a rabbid dog can look nice when hes not biting your hand. The way all this has happened both times makes it appear that dealership is in on not giving a @$$% about warranty work, and treating everyone like crap. I hope this helps!! read more

Stay away from Banner if you want to be treated with fairly and with respect! I was ready to buy a new truck when I walked in, but after my visit there I went elsewhere and bought the same day. It started badly- I had called ahead and made an appointment to drive a vehicle I was considering buying. The saleman didn't go find it until after I arrived, and then took me on a very short test drive (no highway driving included). When I tried to test one of the features that was important to me, we discovered it was in "transport mode" and wasn't fully functional. He made no attempt to change that. At that point I was still considering buying and told the salesman I was expecting $8,000 trade-in on my 2011 truck. I had been offerred $6,000-$8,000 at other dealerships. He came back with an offer of $3,500 and tried to tell me that Banner's discounts were so good that they couldn't offer more. I assume they thought I was some rube and they were trying to take advantage of me. Banner's discounts are right in line with other dealers! I walked out in disgust. Within minutes he called with an offer of $6,000. Why do sales departments have to play games! People usually say thay hate car shopping, and if I had to deal with Banner I would hate it too! Fortunately, there are other dealships who are transparent with their pricing and will negotiate fairly. I was happy to spend my $60,000 for a new truck elsewhere! The written deal came together quickly. I had a great experience with Matt Flynn and their sales manager Paul McAllister. I would recommend getting the quote they send you to be an all inclusive out the door (tax, title, registration for apples to apples comparison) signed by management to save some time. Raymond in finance was great to work with but as always shop your local credit union for competitive rates but their one stop shop is great with Ford Credit. Reached out to purchase an incoming Mach E. Dealer refused to take a deposit while in transit and wanted me to complete the purchase prior to delivery. When I caved, suddenly the vehicle was sold to someone else. Weeks later the salesman reached out and said the buyer backed out and he wanted to complete the deal by the end of the month which only gave me a day to think about it. They were also requiring me to trade in my vehicle prior to the new car being delivered. A day later, I caved and tried to purchase but mysteriously the car had been sold (again). I don't believe the vehicle is sold, I believe he was upset that I didn't immediately agree to his terms. I've reached out multiple times since then (email and text) to the original salesman and multiple other members of the sales team and no one will respond or confirm that the vehicle is truly unavailable. It appears that the salesman blacklisted me for being skeptical of his terms, and is now depriving me the opportunity to make the purchase. I wanted to wait a few months, to cool down before posting. This is the place where enemies send people they hate. Salesman #1 was a jerk. Saleswoman #1 was a dingbat. Sales manager #1 decent, honest. Finance man#1 dishonest crook. So i wanted a certain car in a certain color. The car was only available at banner. never met banner ford, but hey, its a ford dealer- they must be good, right? WRONG. if it wasn't for the sales manager, i would have walked. Salesman #1 told me if i wanted to pay cash, i shouldn't come. If i wanted to finance with ford, I shouldn't come. He even sent me a text saying he didn't want my business. All the time he was telling the sales manager i was being difficult. after speaking with the sales manager, we agreed banner would fix certain things, i would buy the car and leave a good review. He turned the deal over to sales woman#1 to complete the deal. So we go to the finance man, who was really a prize. He tells me for me to finance the car I MUST purchase a warranty on a car still under warranty or i cant get financed. Additionally he told me i had been turned down by ford and only a local bank would finance me. My response was i would just pay cash. The finance mans response was to become angry, and refuse to complete the transaction. WHAT?!? Back to the sales manager. The sales manager stepped in and proceeded to convince the finance man to do his job. The finance man then lied, saying the promo rate ford was offering was not available and i was only approved by ford at an unrealistically high rate. A quick call to ford proved the promo rate was still available, and that the finance man never sent my application to ford. The sales manager was befuddled by the finance man, and couldn't understand why the finance man was bold face lying. This was met by the finance man with comments of "Well normally i don't have to deal with YOU PEOPLE. Customers come in here and have bank financing lined up. I really don't like you and don't want you to have this car. I would rather see banner lose money sending it to the auction" AND Ford can't tell you which deals they offer on the internet, and ford cant tell you if i dont see an application or not. The sales manager forces the finance man to take my money, but the finance man wont give me the paperwork i need because the finance man just doesn't feel like filling out the 4 lines of the form. WOW. They said they would have the paperwork ready for me to pick up in 24 hours. It actually took 6 weeks, and they mailed it to me instead, and it was still missing forms. They fixed most everything we agreed to, but i never got a 2nd master key to my car, they didn't fix a door seal, and they used fingernail polish to repair a scratch. The sales manager stated Banner would use a man with an air brush to cover the scratch, but sales woman#1 stated the sales manager is a liar, Banner does not do professional work, and there are fingernail paint fixes all over the lot." I asked her to show me just one, and i wouldn't complain. She said she was too busy with coffee. I followed her back to the coffee where we passed 2 men with an air brush machine. I asked her to step outside and show me which man did the repair. She told me "Look we have your money, you have a car, and i have coffee." BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! Purchased a car from them that was a certified car. They offered an additional warranty on the car free of charge for purchasing the vehicle. I was told it was A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. I WAS TOLD SEVERAL TIMES IT WAS A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. my mother was present during the whole transaction and I heard the sales person say it was a bumper to bumper warranty. I even purchased an additional warranty. Two months later my driver seat did not move at all and stopped working. I brought it in to be faxed and was told that they did not know what was wrong with it but it probably was not covered under my warranty. Terrible experience! Was told one thing then after driving over 50 miles was told another! It was not just a misunderstanding it was a purposeful deception! Salesman Eric Sonnier assured me over and over and over the unbelievable deal was for sure! Then everything changed after taking off work and driving through rush hour traffic!!!!! This is a mixed review. First time I went to Banner was to buy a minivan for my daughter. We had already scoped out the vehicle on the internet. We agreed on a price after two rounds of offers and counter offers. It was pretty close to the average selling price. They tried to add in the usual b.s. Extended warranty, yada, yada. I think they did succeed in tossing in nitrogen in the tires. $200. No biggie. Good vehicle, nice interaction, she loves it 2 years later. That's why people buy Toyotas. Yesterday was totally different. Kia Soul was way overpriced. Salesman told me that Kelly Blue Book is wrong and it is worth much more. Right. That's why they've been in business for 90 years! He comes down $500, still 30% above average price. I should have walked then, but I stayed and gave him a second offer. It was final and I meant it. Wouldn't give an inch. Goodbye, you lost a sale. You could have made $1000, but you got greedy and tried to make $3000. It was a manual with no cruise control. It will be sitting there in 3 months. It's a frigging Kia. read more
