Last time I was in, they tried to sell me a scratched windshield! I couldn't believe it. Great for mobile repair work, do not recommend for in-store replacement work. The price was reasonable, even for out of pocket, so I booked the appointment online, and day of the appointment came, even though they were running late had my vehicle in fast, and within a few hours it was done. The install is high quality. Local folks were great. The corporate process is riddled with discrepancies. Their inventory management and procurement process was not on time. They text beforehand and say "an hour and a half," regardless the complexity of the installation. One thing local folks might do mitigate dissatisfaction is check and see if the glass is onsite and in good condition the afternoon before the appointment date, then call the customer if it's delayed or damaged and reschedule it f required. Would also be a good time to explain longer service time expectations with difficult installs. They were less expensive than the mom and pop across the street. read more

Safelite Autoglass is the most unprofessional establishment I have encountered in Memphis and I have lived here my entire life. The replacement window trim is mismatched and not one person that works at this place can seem to order the correct one. I have been back to the shop 3 times for the same thing to happen and 2 appointments have been made between the hours of 8-12 and no one called or came! They ate up 2 entire days and my 2024 truck still looks like a blind toddler fixed the window. Please stay far from this whole establishment. read more

The Covington Pike Safelite Store in Memphis is literally the most incompetent operation that I have ever encountered. In general, Safelite is a horrible company, with theor absurd customer service, poor workmanship, infuriating phone system that makes it impossible to talk to a live person, but the Memphis Covington Pike store takea the incompetence to the next level. I had to have my windshield replaced twice due to incorrect installation, then they scratched the top of my vehicle during the second installation, then a few months later the trim pieces flew off my vehicle while driving down the interstate. After taking the vehicle back to the shop, they indicated that they would order new parts and then contact me for an appt., after about a week I called and they had no record of this interaction at all. Please avoid Safelite, if your insurance is paying, you can take the vehicle to the dealership and get it done right. Safelite is an absolute disaster. read more

If i could give zero stars, I would. I scheduled a repair for a cracked windshield and they were able to quickly find an appointment to meet my schedule. The first Tech was kind enough to ask if I would be willing to accept a scratched windshield because the scratch was small. I declined and was told to return the next day. I returned and they still installed the scratched glass. I had to drive back to the shop (6543 Winchester Rd, Memphis, TN 38115) because they wouldn't answer my calls. This time they scheduled for a Tech to come to my home at 12 PM. I waited until 5 PM because they provided me a window and it was a no call, no show. I contacted the customer service line and they advised that the Tech stated his jobs were cancelled for the day and the office was supposed to contact me. They then stated they made a note in the system for someone to call me back. And yep, you guessed it, NOTHING. Two weeks later, I still have the same brand-new, scratched glass in my car. read more

Was told that the windshield was installed but calibration was still not completed. I've been to this Safelite a couple times for repairs. It was quick and easy. You schedule online and get an appointment a day or two later. It was nice because they seemed to be open on Saturday at one point despite what their site says. But after this third attempt I won't be going back. Last Monday, I got a chip in my windshield. I went online and worked through scheduling. No appointments. No appointments in the near future, the far future, or ever. Not a one. The closest place that could get me an appointment was Jonesboro. Uh?! I tried calling but apparently Safelite prefers to have the robotic voice tell me they only make appointments online and not pick up their phone. So I wasted a day. Then I couldn't get into a local shop for a few more days. Then my windshield chip spread resulting in a new windshield. Thank Safelite. Don't bother since apparently they won't make appointments, don't have appointments and apparently shouldn't bother having a phone number since it's not going to result in you talking to anyone. read more

Dropped my truck off at 1:55 pm and had my wife pick me up to do some shopping during the windshield replacement. I can't speak positive on Safelite anymore. This will be the 4th time I have had to take my car back over for windshield replacement. First visit they did not have the parts. Second visit needed your with the trim coming off my windshield driving down the highway. Third visit no parts, and did not bother to call to setup the 4th visit which I had to get the date off the website. This visit I have to reschedule as they put it during a week I said I cannot come as I'm out of town on business. They never called to reschedule and I had to go online to schedule another appointment. They did not call me until 3 hours after my appointment time. She put me on hold and I ended up having to hang up because of the long hold. When I called back, Jennifer was RUDE and basically said that I was impatient and had a major attitude. I ended up calling back and cancelling the service as I was pretty much done at this point. I had a small lessthan probably 1-2 inch cracked in my windshield. The tech was timely and friendly but after 173. 00 and maybe 15 minutes of work it looked the same as it did prior to being supposedly fixed. Would not recommend safelight. read more

My husband called and said a rock had hit his windshield on the way to work and a crack was rapidly spreading. Not knowing where he would be parking at the Crescent Building I arranged for an appointment the following day. The staff there was great and the work took about an hour and a half. While waiting I had a nail removed from a tire and patched at the neighboring tire dealer since I had arrived about 20 minutes early. My husband told me the tire had been leaking after I called about the low tire light! Obviously it had an object lodged in the tread since it wasn't visible in the side wall. I wished my husband spoke "car" but he simply has no interest. Fortunately I do and Safelite is a company that has locations in every state no matter where we move. If you book an appointment and get a quote online print out the quote or take your cell showing the emailed quote so they can honor the price. My deductible is $250 and the charge was less than that so I did not make an insurance claim. They tried to charge me $260 but when I whipped out my online quote I got the lower price of $210. read more

The appt. was rescheduled to March 30th, then cancelled on the same day, only to be rescheduled nearly a month later in mid April!!! Totally unacceptable! After storm damage ruined the windshield on our Kia Soul, we began getting price quotes for a replacement. Not only did Safelite have the best price, they also were the only option for a tinted top band on the windshield. Easy scheduling and paying online were a breeze. Really disappointed with Safelite. I had an appointment to install a new windshield. They gave me an installation window from 8am until 5pm. I waited around all day and didn't hear from them. I called them around 3pm and was told they were on the way. They never showed up and did not call. I called the following day and was told that they had to order the windshield (which wasn't expected to arrive until the following week). They scheduled a new appointment for the following Thursday. I called 2 days in advance to confirm the appointment and was told the appointment was on Friday (when I had planned to be out of town). Told them that wouldn't work so they moved the appointment to the following Monday. Hopefully I get my windshield sometime in the future. read more

Great-if-spendy auto glass repair. Technician came right out to my car at the office and did an interior clean in addition to my repair. All-in about $130 for the repair, outcall service and material to fix my rock strike. The repair has a warranty for the value of the repair itself towards a new windshield should a crack develop. All-in-all satisfied. Local non-national vendors will do it at half the cost however... sans-warranty (wish I could remember who I used last time!). read more
