Called safelite office and said they would refund my money, along with the water guard application they put on the new windshield. I told them they only had to refund the windshield wipers and not the water guard but they are! (I HIGHLY recommend the water guard and rain just beads up and that helped when wipers flew off street) So, they made it right and now I'm happy! (once I get that check...) read more

I would advise against Safelite based on my recent experience. Last month, my windshield was replaced on my car due to a chip from road debris on the interstate. Following the replacement, I noticed that my paint was badly chipped on the roof right beside the windshield glass from where an adhesive or tool was used to change the glass. Upon reaching out to Safelite, an appointment was scheduled for a specialist to come out to inspect the damage, photograph the car, and document the claim. On the day of this appointment, I was called stating my appointment was canceled due to staffing issues. I had to call back to set up a new appointment the following week. On the new date, someone showed, took pictures for about 5 minutes, and left after waiting all day during their five hour window they provided. I was told the manager would take a look at the pictures and reach back out once they decided the best option. A week went by and nobody ever reached back out. When we called, we were not able to speak to manager. Since then, we have still heard nothing. It seems this was all just a ploy to avoid their damages and a hope for us to forget. I guess their plan worked, because we ended up having to pay $300 to repair the damaged roof without any financial support, manager follow-up, or apology from this company. Today I went in with my daughter to get her windshield repaired. She had a pea size rock indentation around the center. We were immediately seen and filled out the paperwork and two minutes later we're giving the keys to the Safelite technician and showing him the area that she needed repaired. We went in and sat down in the waiting room which was about ten minutes and the technician came back and said the resin took and it looked good. Give it about ten more minutes and we should be ready to go. True to his word. We were out the door within that 10 minutes when he came back with the car and the keys. Awesome service. I'm truly pleased with the way Safelite handled my daughter's windshield and the approach and professionalism was up and beyond fantastic. My son wanted an OEM quality windshield. He contacted Safelite in Murfreesboro and gave them all of the information that they requested. The VIN tells them everything they really need to know, and he did supply them with it. They told him that the sensors would also have to be recalibrated which, of course, cost more money. They set up a date and time for him to drop off the vehicle (Subaru) which we fit into our schedule's as we live in Tullahoma. We make the drive to Murfreesboro on the scheduled date and time. Now, the warning lights should have went off when they stated they would have the vehicle all day, but this was the closest place with an OEM windshield. Now, it's VERY IMPORTANT and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you read the reviews of a business BEFORE you make a decision on that said business. So, just over 4 hours after dropping off the vehicle they call my son and inform him they DO NOT HAVE the OEM windshield for his vehicle. WTF??? Really? I then informed my son to have them contact him AFTER SAFELITE had received the OEM windshield. So, nearly 7 hours WASTED. Yes 7 hours with the drive time from Tullahoma to Murfreesboro and then back for two vehicles and three people. If the windshield and labor had not already been paid for, I'd have told my son to take his vehicle somewhere else. So, we are now back home, and a new date and time have yet to be given. Terrible service. I had a timeframe between 8AM-12PM. The tech called me at 12:04PM to tell me that he was delayed by 2-3 hours. This was only after I called the main number to inquire about my appointment. Another tech showed up in my work parking lot around 10AM, but couldn't help me. I inquired with him about my appointment. He told me my job was reassigned and the tech should have called first thing in the morning I attempted to reschedule my appointment. They couldn't rebook for another two weeks, but I might be able to get an appointment sooner if I brought my truck to their location. However, they couldn't tell me where their location was located. While I was talking, the scheduler on the phone told me bye and hung up. I was very polite the entire time. I just drove 45 mins to get here and bc of an accident on the freeway, I was 16 mins late. I was driving at the top safe speed to get here and could barely see through the crack. When I walked in the lady at the desk was on the phone. She finally got off and told me they have a strict 15 min policy and they would have to reschedule me. I realize life is busy but by 3 pm I still had not been contacted. Tried to call the office and was given the run around and transferred and no message able to be left. Here I am at the end of a ridiculously hectic week and my car still has a busted windshield even though I took time out of my work week to fulfill all of MY requirements for service. Between my insurance and my deductible the service is paid for in full but no one bothered to even reach out to me to let me know A) they were going to be late or B) they were not coming at all. But they sure did have no issue taking my payment. Every time I hear that stupid safe lite repair jingle it will remind me of this atrocious experience. I scheduled my 2021 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport front windshield replacement on 4/29. I noticed very poor rain sensor appearance after Safelite windshield replacement. Moreover, the rain sensor did not function properly after Safelite tech reinstallation. I contacted Safelite to schedule warranty repair on 5/8. The Safelite tech who performed the warranty repair let me know the rain sensor did not function because it detached from the windshield. Yelp review photo shows rain sensor appearance after Safelite warranty repair. I let the technician know rain sensor appearance is not acceptable after Safelite warranty repair attempt. The tech responded that rain sensor appearance is the best he can do. I contacted Safelite customer service to voice my displeasure and seek an acceptable remedy. The Safelite customer service representative responded that the branch manager would be in contact with me. No call back from the Safelite branch manager although another branch employee called and stated that he would order gel adhesive to attach the rain sensor properly and resolve poor sensor appearance. I reached out to Safelite customer service by phone to determine warranty repair status on 5/21 and by email on 5/22 although no response to date. Email communication included photo of current condition, estimate from local Infiniti dealer to resolve substandard Safelite workmanship and reimbursement request. A quick internet search revealed numerous Safelite windshield replacement customers who voiced similar rain sensor concerns. Hard to understand why Safelite does not provide the necessary materials and tech training to deliver acceptable windshield replacement quality. We will certainly let others know about this extremely disappointing experience and work with a more reliable auto glass service provider in the future. Safelite's Murfreesboro TN location did not earn one star. Lowest possible Yelp rating is definitely warranted! read more

I just had an unbelievable experience at Safelite's Murfreesboro location. Here's some background first. I had an appointment to have a windshield replaced 2 weeks ago. When I showed up after a 30-minute drive from Franklin, they told me that the windshield they had in stock had a scratch and that I would need to re-schedule for the following week. On the day of my new appointment last week, they called me to tell me that the replacement they got from their warehouse also had a scratch so they would need to reschedule me for this Tuesday at 8 AM. Considering the likelihood that the windshield for today's appointment would have a scratch, I called Safelite this morning when they opened at 8 AM. I spoke with the onsite scheduler and she went back and confirmed that they had 2 windshields that were ok to install. I told her I was on the way. I showed up at 8:38, and checked in. After 20 minutes a tech came in and asked to speak with me. He told me that since I was outside of the 15-minute window of my appointment, they could not install the windshield. I explained my previous experience and that I had called to confirm before driving 30 minutes, but he curtly told me they couldn't do anything to help. I asked to speak to a manager, Ben Anderson, but he was off for the day. I called him, but he never called me back. At the very least, the scheduler should've told me when I called to confirm that they had a 15 minute window that they enforce. Overall, they wasted 2 hours of my time and were completely unapologetic. This place is a mess and I'll certainly never use them for anything going forward. read more

Their "lifetime" warranty is actually a 30 day from install warranty. Truthfully, by the way they acted, I doubt they would even honor that. Safelite replaced the windshield on my vehicle back in Feb '22. During this replacement, they broke a plastic part of the rear view mirror mount. As they are not responsible for the damage to the mirror I did not report this to them. I do not expect them to replace a 22 year old mirror. A crack has slowly developed at this location due to the stress of adjusting the broken mirror, that only became visible recently as most of the damage is behind the mirror mount. I also noticed a leak after a very heavy rainstorm which poured water into the passenger compartment on the passenger side. At this point I scheduled a warranty replacement. After arriving, two safelite employees at this location came up with multiple excuses to deny warranty service. It's actually the sunroof, the water flows this way and can back up that way, it is actually the AC leaking, etc, before they had even seen the vehicle. I told them I had tested the windshield with a hose past the sunroof and they still insisted it was not the windshield. They said it could be how the water was running down the vehicle. Only way this works is if they didn't fully seal the windshield in the first place. Very unprofessional, and I can see why they have such a low rating. read more

***Update*** 2/17/2023 They promptly got me back in and replaced the glass with the Acura OEM glass they had promised they would get. Everything appears now to be corrected. Heads-Up Display is straight and not blurry, no warp in the glass at the driver's sight-line. I cannot give them 5 stars since it took nearly three months to get to this point. Original Review: These people are clowns. I needed the glass replaced in my 2021 Acura MDX due to a crack from a rock. I filed the claim through Safelite for simplicity, and they had me in within about a week and I thought all was well. When I got in the vehicle I noticed the heads-up-display was tilted on the glass which made it distorted as though it was moving away from me. I went back in, and after going back and forth they agreed that there was an issue, and we received permission from my insurance for OEM glass. Safelite advised they ordered it, but after 2 weeks later I called corporate and found out they had not ordered the glass. 3 weeks later they said they had the glass, and scheduled me for an appointment. I arrived at the appointment nd they took my vehicle back. After only about 20 minutes they pulled the vehicle up front and said they only needed to do an adjustment. I got back in the vehicle to check, and it had the exact same issue I brought it back for. I told them that this was not acceptable, as the OEM glass was ordered and is supposed to be there. They took the vehicle back a second time and after 30 minutes told me they needed an additional part. I have now been dealing with their complete incompetence for nearly 3 months now. Horrible - awful experience - horrible location a real dump. The facility is in an old abandoned self storage facility. Broke down cars all around - almost no signage and the temporary fencing just makes the entire facility look worse. Then on top of the really bad facility the service was even worse! I was recommended that they replace my windshield by my insurance company (which I also told them how awful this experience was) I set the appoint for 1:00pm and just so you understand I was coming all the way from Lebanon, TN (40 minute drive). I was running late so I called the number that was published as their number and spoke to Connie a customer service representative and told her that I was running late and asked "Can I still get my windshield replaced today or should I reschedule?" Looked like I would be 15-20 minutes late. She assured me it was fine and she would let the guys know. Got there at 1:17 and was refused service! This is completely unacceptable. This is the second time I have had issues with cancelled appointments after waiting 10 days for the 1st appointment they call me to tell me they have to cancel because of the rain and the vehicle not being under cover, which is a lie as my inspection is at home and the vehicle is in the garage. After I let them know the vehicle is under cover the new excuse is that they don't have a technician. Last time the technician Didn't show up on the day of the inspection and never called and had to wait 2 more weeks and then they cancelled because they did not have a technician. Had an amazing experience. After having issues with a different company I scheduled to go into the facility and wait on my windshield to be done. It had to be scheduled a month out, but once I finally got there they told me it would take about two hours. The start and finish only took an hour and a half. After it was finished the serviceman took me outside to check it and I gave him my card and paid it and was on my way. Everybody was nice and pleasant and my windshield looks amazing. read more

So I had to find a way back to pick up my car. They called me and stated that my windshield was in, so we made an appointment for today. I arrived to location & decided to wait. Not even 30 minutes the man stated once again that they didn't have my windshield especially when it was confirmed on the phone. I feel they should call people and let them know before they arrive if the windshield is available or not. But instead they didn't.
