Recently brought my car in for a warranty repair/issue and was told the problem I had wasn't covered by Safelite's Lifetime Warranty. So "bubbles" between the layers of the windshield, and small patch repairs which were expanding.., aren't covered? Both the office receptionist and the so-called "technician" who looked at my windshield couldn't tell me(or show me) why they wouldn't abide by THEIR life time warranty! These people completely destroyed my sisters car. She had the smallest crack in her windshield and requested a replacement, her entire dash has been smashed to pieces, her side panels are cracked, roof hanging in pieces, the technician should've NEVER touched her vehicle if he knew he was unable to complete the job without destroying a new vehicle. First I went to safelight to have my window put in they told me they couldn't put it in because it needed body work so I went and got the body work done then they said they could put the glass in at the body work shop. They of course called me the day they were supposed to go do it and told me they needed to bring it to safelight to do it . So they picked up the car and told me to be there around 12pm and the car would be done . So I go there at 12pm only to find out they the car is now going to go in at 1pm so we sit there and wait and wait and wait . By 2:30 the car was ready. I drive home and when I go to look at the work they did they scratched the brand new paint they just told me they had to bring in the shop to not scratch . This place is not recommended. After they reached out to me to schedule a appointment to fix it they never returned my email . Once again let down by safelight read more

The worse experience order a windshield that they picked out was late by 15 min kicked to another time at 2 pm. Had them check before I left at 11:22 am to make sure they had right stuff and they said yes Then after 50 min in the shop they stated sorry ordered wrong windshield. come back in a week wasted a whole day and they seems like they could care less amazed at the lack of customer service. read more

I got a crack in the windshield of my 2021 Toyota Camry. made an appointment with the PC Safelite, when I arrived I was told by the person at Safelite that I was at the wrong place and sent to see a guy at Goodyear and they told me he was going to replace my windshield. Everything about this screamed DONT DO IT! but against my better judgment, I did. 4 1/2 hours later my entry code pad on my windshield was damaged beyond repair and now no one wants to take responsibility to replace it. My advice to you, if you need a new windshield do not go to any shop/company that sends you to someone else's to do their work! I doubt this Panama city is a corporate-run outlet but no matter, Beware Panama City Safelite!!! read more

One of the biggest runarounds I've ever dealt with. The glass was in poor condition plus they didn't include the top molding. The tech did a solid job of informing me, made a call to notify the manager of the situation who claimed the car was old and the molding might be discontinued despite me having shown the tech they were widely available and had already ordered one that they weren't comfortable in using. The manager then claimed they would have to use their own source for OEM parts although OEM uses the same parts network.... surprise... I ordered from the same! Now they called back saying it wasn't included in the order and the molding was designed to be reused although they weren't comfortable with using the new one I had??? Then they claimed that they found the part and new glass but will be another week and a half before they can do the job. At that point.... how about I don't trust Safelite to touch my car since there was an apparent runaround, lies thrown in, then the whole waste of time. Never again! My suggestion? Find a reputable business that doesn't play these games and wastes your precious time. read more

Took my Sprinter down to get a new windshield installed. Was going to get it installed at my house but was informed by Safelite i had to bring it to the PC location so that the cameras could be calibrated after installation. Drove 1.5 hours. As soon as I get there, the tech says the glass they ordered was scratched. So I asked then to order a new glass and drove back home. A few weeks later they called and said they had a new glass. Drove back down for the installation. After they installed it, they informed me they didn't have the software to recalibrate my cameras. So why didn't they just install it at my house and save me 6 hours of driving? read more

This shop is in Pensacola Florida. The clown they sent to replace my windshield actually broke off my rear view mirror while trying to remove it. he blamed it on the mirror being "dry rotted". didn't notify his employer. I went almost 2 weeks without a mirror because it had to be special ordered from the dealer- after market ones wouldn't work. it cost me around $130 to replace it. The dealer checked the broken one. Was NOT dry rotted although I knew that. I have called Safelite and repeatedly, emailed, tried to get Allstate to handle it since they referred them. this was nearly a year ago. still nothing. The Safelite manager said he referred it to claims. Have not received reimbursement or an email. Tired of chasing my tail. not worth it. I did not know that I could use my own glass company. wish I had known. There's a good one here. I will eat the cost, because I'm not wasting anymore time with these idiots. They damaged my son's old truck when replacing the glass. Nothing done to repair the damage. wish he had told me sooner. Buyer beware. They won't make it right if they tear up something. I was better off with the chip in original windshield lol. read more

Progressive Insurance referred us to Safelite. The appointment to have the broken windshield replaced was scheduled promptly, within 2 days. We had to drive to the nearest Safelite Shop because we have a Mercedes with the automatic windshield wipers that had to calibrated. We arrived early. The team met us promptly and we were in and out within about 45 minutes. Staff members were professional and courteous. Thank you Safelite! read more

I seldom give a five but this place earned it. Calling the 800# is a bit cumbersome to set up an appointment but the Internet was pretty easy to schedule and get a quote. The staff was so responsive and there's a constant update to either your email and/or your text. The two technicians that came out to replace my windshield were pleasant and took the time to answer questions and explain the warranty. Being from out of state, it was much appreciated! read more

While replacing my windshield they broke both of my A Pillars due to ripping them off by hand instead of following the manufacturer's instructions for removal which was literally just 3 bolts. They declined responsibility for breaking my panels and are making me go over their head to have something done about it. read more

These people seem to take a global pandemic seriously. I really appreciate that. In terms of glass repair, they were fast and professional. The repairman cautioned me about hazards of repair and potential total repair before completing the glass repair. They found another chip I'd forgotten about and charged $30 more for that. The only option on the website is to schedule for a windshield repair. That's not what I need. I need the rubber seal around my windshield repaired. Jacob was great. He was earlier than expected. Efficient, friendly. I don't know why this happened after the glass was put in, but, my daughter was driving her car, a few days after. It was raining that day. She called me and said she could not see out her windshield, it was a milkie, thick, film. She tried her window washer but that did not help. I told her to go to a Safelite shop which was on the way home (NE Ave. Panama City Fl.). She did that. They were super helpful, got her going again, cleaned up. They asked her who put the glass in, she didn't know it was Safelite, she told them she didn't know. They said to be sure to come back if she has trouble, they would look after her. Had a terrible experience. Back window was broken, set appointment to get it fixed. They said they would come 3 days later. No one came, no one called, no one texted. When I tried to find out why, they said they were sorry and even though it was about to rain, they couldn't come for 5 days. When I called that day to confirm the appointment time, they said at first it was 12 - 5 then they said 3 - 5 then I decided to take a nap and they came at 1:50 so no nap. Took them an hour and 10 minutes. The technician was nice and through, but I don't think I will call Safelite again. read more

Safelite was contacted by my insurance company to repair a crack in my windshield in front of the driver. when they were done the crack was still there about half the size as before. I called customer no service and they claim that it is just fine and that it is factory standard to have a crack in front of the driver. I disagreed and he starts telling me that when I go to Mcdonalds that all the burgers dont look like the menu board??? WTF they charged my insurance company 69.23 for a half ass repair that only reduced the crack. I cant wait to drive into the sunlight and get the sharp reflection from this crack into my eyes, I can only hope the car I hit when blinded will be a safelite Corporate Executive and I will tell him/her that the sun was within DOT standards.
