I had a windshield replacement appointment scheduled for 7:00 a.m. The day before, your office called to confirm the appointment, and during that call I explained that I wouldn't be able to arrive until 7:15 because I needed to drop my daughter off for her final driving lesson before her driving test on Friday. I was told that 7:15 would be fine. Unfortunately, I received a call at 7:18 a.m. informing me that my appointment had been canceled. While I understand I was a few minutes past the agreed-upon time, canceling after only three minutes seems excessive, especially after I had communicated the situation in advance and was assured that 7:15 was acceptable. I scheduled the windshield replacement before my daughter's driving test so she could have a safe vehicle for the test, so this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. read more

The time alloted was an hour yet it only took him 35 minutes! I've used Safelite for all windshield replacements. I appreciate that techs come to my home. 10/18/2022: My 2K Limited Edition, Toyota 4-Runner is having its glass replaced-AGAIN, i.e., this is the second windshield glass Placerville Safelite replaced! Backstory: Unfortunately, a gargantuan rock deflected off my windshield last week while driving WEST in the commuter lane on Highway 80 towards Stockton Street~waaaah! I really thought the humongous rock would penetrate through the windshield and I was going to die by getting hit by that blasted rock!!!! Mr. Jade Parker, Safelite Store Manager had no choice but, replace the initial windshield replacement due to Rocklin Safelite's shoddy workmanship. Moreover, Rocklin Safelite NEVER repaired the passenger door's leather interior damaged by the Technician tool lodged into the passenger door which Mr. Jade Parker contacted the Rocklin Safelite Manager, Jeff who NEVER contacted me!!!! Therefore, Placerville Safelite had to replace the windshield Rocklin Safelite installed a few months ago; however, this windshield replacement is directly related to the gargantuan rock deflecting off my windshield last week. Still, I'm forever grateful to Mr. Jade Parker driving my truck due to returning it to my house for the last glass replacement and replacing the windshield this time, too! AWESOME! read more

I was traveling through the area and someone threw a rock threw my window while I was parked at a local dog park. I took it to Autoglass and they didn't have the exact window but they did vacuum it out and put plastic on so I could get home. I had dogs and kids with me and this was very appreciated. They even filled up my dogs water bowl. read more

I need a new windshield it was put in correct but it was done very messy baby scratch in my hood so small I didn't even bring it up but I spoke with the gentleman who installed it and he said that's just the way it is when you have your window window replaced it messes up the weathering strips and they don't replace it it looked like crap you told me I could go buy a new piece and replace it myself. It would be very easy to do he replace the side panels on each side of the window, which were not Glued down all the way and sticking up and not flush with the rest of the angles when I asked about this he said that's just the way it is. He didn't care about my car or me for that matter I was very disappointed and left I definitely thought when I pointed out the issue he would've said hey let me take that back and maybe glue it down a little bit better or acknowledge my issue, but that wasn't the case. I had my Tesla windshield replaced at the Placerville shop after getting a crack from a rock chip. After leaving, I realized both visor clips were broken. It almost looked like they'd been ripped off during the service. It was odd to me that no one mentioned the damage when I picked up my car. I called in the next day to see if the shop would fix it. I reached out multiple times over a few weeks, and the shop did not return my calls or follow up. The lack of communication and follow up has been frustrating, especially considering the shop caused the damage. I ended up having to call Tesla directly for the repair and pay for the damage myself. This review is for the actual customer service side of things NOT Grace who repaired our windshield. After 5 phone calls, you still can not get a paid invoice emailed to you. You can put the man on the moon, but no one can type a correct email in the system or send a paid receipt. Now I am going to have to drive to the branch to pick up a paid receipt. I understand why they offer a lifetime guarantee. After your first dealings with this company, you will never want to use them again, so of course they can offer a lifetime guarantee, they know no one will take them up on the offer. VERY PAINFUL. I went here to get my front windshield replaced. It had TONS of cracks. I showed up on the date of service and unfortunately the glass that they'd gotten shipped to replace it came in cracked. No worries on that, they said they'd knock the price down. All right! I showed up again on the new date of service and they replaced it quickly and it looked good as new. They even threw in a pair of free wipers and installation for the inconvenience. I was really pleased with my service. Everyone was super kind and friendly, and Kahlua the dog was lovely. read more

Had an appointment scheduled since I had a crack in my wind shield. Went in and the check in process was pretty smooth. Didn't have any additional paperwork since everything was filled in online. They just took my card to put on file and quoted me two hours for the service. My dad was with me so we decided to grab some breakfast then walk around the local Walmart until it was finished. About an hour and half later, I received a call and text from Safelite saying my car was ready. So we headed back and I made it just in time as they were going to close for a bit. Upon looking at my windshield, they did an awesome job but when I got into my car I was pretty shocked. Why you may ask? We'll let me tell you. I had bought a dash cam for my car and I tried my very best to hide the wire but there were parts that were taped to my side panel on the passenger side of my windshield since I didn't really know how to tuck that it or where to tuck it in. But much to my surprise they hid the wire for me! I was so happy because now it looks even better! Big shout out to Safelite for not only fixing my window but for also tucking in my dash cam wire. Lastly, I have one of those reversible octopus plush toys in my car and by default he is always on the mad side but he was flipped to the smiley side when I got into my car. My insurance company farmers contracted safelite to repair a broken rear windshield on my 2013 honda cross tour. the tech came out and changed the glass. let me know all the glass would be cleaned out of the rear hatch door. The window was installed and it looked good until: 1. I turned on the rear Windshield wiper and it began wiping the car spoiler (it was installed up side down) 2. loaded up my car with groceries and heard all the glass in the door. (sounds like a giant rain stick!) 3. Was driving last week and the spoiler broke off and was hanging by the wiring harness. 4. turns out ALL but 2 clips were broken during the installation. 5. interior panels broken during installation. see pictures I took it in to the dealer and they said this was just garbage work. There is no way the spoiler should fall off the car. "The Installer had no idea what he was doing". Moral of the story. make sure you are watch the tech to do the install as they will cut as many corners as possible to get the job done quickly. The clips held on for a while but after a few years they will NOT do anything to resolve the issues. Farmers insurance or Satellite near Whittier who preformed the work. Stay away!!! read more

I went to the website to ask questions, but I kept telling me to schedule an appointment. I didn't want to make an appointment before I talked to somebody. But it just felt like I kept getting run around. Needless to say, I never got to speak with a tech or a live customer service person. With all of their recent advertising, you'd think they'd have their act together. But instead all I got was frustration and no response. Appointment was easily booked online, and quick to set up. There was a hitch in the type of glass ordered, but Ryan, my service guy, was a magician in getting it fixed. Not only did Ryan do a fantastic job replacing the windshield in my F350, he took care of the issue with the billing and got my truck done as promised. Came by to help a family member get their windshield repaired. Some object smacked right into the windshield and left a pretty gnarly looking crack. Everyone seemed pretty nice from the receptionist to the manager who assessed the damage and even the technician (forgot his name). The process was pretty quick as they said it would take about 45 minutes, but in reality it only took about 30 minutes. They did not change the windshield, but instead filled in the chip in the window (which was what the insurance was paying for). The technician was nice and explained that the mark would never go away, but that the windshield is now stabilized in case something were to hit it again. Thanks Safelite! read more
