I wanted to give them a higher rating because of how fast they were, but they left my car a mess. There were pieces of glass all over the hood of my car, which can scratch the paint and on my driver & passenger seats, and on my dash. They did get the windshield installed fast and even remembered my rain sensor, that the last safelite forgot about and threw away, costing me $200... I got new wiper blades too, which seem pretty good. But the glass all over the inside and outside of the car is just not cool. At least vacuum it out with a shop vac so people aren't sitting on glass. read more

I had completed the online request for an estimate and after finding it an acceptable value and the fact that I was assured of the mobile service coming to my home I scheduled it. Now, after agreeing to accept text communication for my upcoming appointment I was somewhat flooded with several communications of not only assuring me of my upcoming service "at my home", but even they sent a video explaining what to expect when there serviceman arrived and what he needed from me. All of this information made me feel even more assured and expectant of a great service experience. However, the day before all these commitments were to take place I receive a call from their office stating that "not only will they have to cancel my appointment", but I will have to reschedule to come to their facility because they are not able to provide me with the mobile service at my home, for my particular vehicle. Talk about the "left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing". This is just another example as to how communication through "AI" automated systems is flawed. If i could do less than 1 star, i would. Face to face service is fine, workers do what they need to. The customer service is trashy. Roshonda on phones is one of the most disrespectful and least caring workers i have ever dealt with. she sounded irritated that i even called and simply disregarded my claims. I have been working on getting my windshield replaced for 2 months now; between rescheduled appointments, me not providing overhead coverage when it rains while I'm at work, installing the wrong windshield, sending back the new windshield because they couldn't figure out when to come out, finally receiving the new windshield and it being wrong again. Absolutely horrible service from this location, hopefully it closes down soon or at least fires the office workers. highly do not recommend. If you're contemplating using this business, go with literally any other option and save yourself the hassle. read more

Updated review after the first install...they did correct all the issues under warranty. They replaced the damaged trim pillar and my insurance agreed to oem glass. I am not sure if the aftermarket one was defective but Gaige did a great job installing the oem glass on my second visit, he even made sure to return my car in the same condition I left it. Their customer service model is absolutely abysmal. I said aside an entire afternoon to come in and do a repair where they told me the glass. The insurance company ordered wouldn't work so then I got on the phone with the insurance company. The insurance company indicated it was the right glass and the any calibration issues would be covered under the warranty. I got three different messages from three different people at the glass company about whether the glass would work or not how to take care of it once I got things settled with the insurance company. They said I'd have to completely reschedule my appointment cause they didn't want to stay late today and do it even though the glass was there already. **UPDATE** Now it is the insurance companies fault that I received an aftermarket windshield. That has an extra rear view mirror attachment (that is not for mine by the way). The only thing Safelite has done so far is give the run around and try to gaslight me that everything is fine and nothing is wrong with having the extra attachment on my windshield. Per the technician all windshields come that way. I will say that they did cut off whatever the little black box was that was attached. But that is it. I guess I am stuck with this until my windshield has to be replaced again. Trust me when I say that I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SAFELITE. FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! I only gave them 1 star because it won't let me post without it. DO NOT take your care here ever. They very clearly put the wrong windshield in my car. The technician even told me that they did not have mine in stock so they put a windshield in my car that had a rearview mirror holder on it and a little black box that I have no clue what it was. I called and was told they would make it right, however when I went back to get it fixed I was told that all windshields come with this little black box and a rearview mirror holder. And have now refused to make it right. Terrible just terrible that they apparently think I am stupid enough to believe what they were saying. I had our windshield replaced in August 2025. When the work was completed, I was told that the wiper blades I paid for weren't in stock, and I would be issued a refund. To date, after 4 phone calls and 4 calls to customer support, there still hasn't been a refund issued. It is impossible to reach anyone at the Pooler location to correct this problem. He stated he had lots of appointments. I told the driver that it was Safelite that made the scheduled appointment time and if they were not able to make it that someone should have called. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and was given a time of two to two and a half hours for the replacement. I could see my car sitting in the shop for over an hour with no activity. A customer with an appointment after mine was finished and out the door 20 minutes before me. The auto glass shop on Derenne was much better. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had my window replaced by them and they did such a horrible job. There is a loud whistling coming from the windshield, there is residue left on my paint and the seal is ON MY PAINT!! I called and told them about the issue and they won't be able to get me in until late next week. I am very unhappy with this company and with the job that was done. The customer service is terrible as well. Took me an hour to actually talk to someone and not just a recording. This is dangerous to even drive. I can't believe they would leave a piece of someone's car hanging off! The interior of my car was left a mess as well. I had to go to vacuum my whole car because there was dust everywhere. I had a rock chip my Rv windshield on the highway. I made an appointment at safelite in Savannah GA to have a technician come out to repair chip. After waiting two days the technician came out and said he couldn't work on a step stool and left I called Progressive insurance and they were shocked. Progressive called my home Safelite and they started laughing. Safelite at my home station said they would have fix the chip with my stool or their ladder. I went online to get a price and set up an appointment for Safelite to come to my home and replace the windshield on my 2017 Dodge Ram Promaster 2500. I was quoted a price of $357.34 plus tax which I gladly accepted. The appointment was for a Saturday between 12-5:00. The day before I received a text message from them asking me to supply the VIN for the vehicle which I did. On Saturday the technician reached out to me to say when he would arrive. He also told me the balance for the job would be $1,400.00. I told him no that's not accurate and asked for the home office number. The woman whom I spoke to said that the price of the windshield was VIN number specific and that's why it's the amount that it is. I immediately cancel the appointment. So basically I took the day off for nothing and lost money. The windshield is still cracked and I received no apologies from said representative. She did say they could take $300.00 off the cost. Hahaha. Way wasn't I notified on Friday when I supplied the VIN number the total for the job. Totally unprofessional. I think they saw the VIN number and assumed since it is a commercial vehicle would automatically jack the price up. Despite all their fancy commercials, this company sucks. read more

Zero stars - the Pooler GA store installed 3 damaged windshields (all had visible scratches on them) in my Tahoe last year; after the 3rd one I just gave up and now today they replaced my husband's damaged windshield with one with an 8" scratch down the center of it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would! First attempt to have my windshield replaced didn't go so well. I had an appointment for my vehicle to be replaced and at drop off I was told an estimated time to repair and was asked if I was waiting or dropping off. I told them I would be waiting and while waiting, I noticed that my vehicle had not been worked on and it had been about 45 minutes past my scheduled time. I asked on the status and they said that they would be pulling it in a few minutes. Well that never happened and still didn't happen 2 hours after my scheduled appointment time. I had appointments that I could not miss starting at 4 pm so I had to ask them to move me to another day because I could not wait any longer. Second attempt, I show up at my appointment time and at that time I found out that they have no working AC in the middle of August in Georgia! I intended on waiting there and working remotely with my laptop but the inside temperature with no fans or windows was over 92 degrees. I asked if they could uber me to a nearby Starbucks or something so I could wait there while the service was being performed and they said no. If your establishment has a major issue like this, customers should be contacted to inform them to arrange for drop off only. Corporate was also no help for this inconvenience. read more

Fast and efficient! They had no issue taking my insurance and quoted 2-3 hours for the process since my vehicle has front facing cameras that needed calibrating. I waited in the lobby and it ended up being more like an hour and a half. Please note: I live in Savannah. Safelite is in Pooler. I noticed a chip in my windshield and went online and found a Monday, August 28th, 4 o'clock appointment. I arrived on time, only to be greeted, "We are overbooked and tried getting a hold of you, but we need to reschedule. I was rescheduled for Friday, September 1st, at 4 p.m. I arrived 10-15 minutes early, gave in my name, signed a piece of paper, and waited. At 5:05 p.m., an employee asked to see the car. We walked toward the car. He looked and said, "Oh yes, this is repairable." Then remarked the tech was working on another car. He did not know how much longer, but, once he started on my car, it would be an additional half hour. My response was, "I'm old, I'm hungry, I'm tired and I want to go home." We then went back inside to reschedule. We rescheduled for a house visit. Tuesday, September 5 - anytime from noon-5. At 4:30, I called their number. I was told the tech in the field had 14 windshields to look at and he was definitely showing up. He would call when nearby. I asked if he could text, and the voice responded, he would. At 7 p.m., I called Safelite again, only to get a recording that they were closed for the night. The next day, it turns out, they rescheduled for that day and sent an email in the morning (that I didn't see until later that day). The tech called but did not text. When I returned home, I called the unknown number (Maybe Safelite)--and the person who answered the phone, let me know that he could come over now. My reaction: THREE STRIKES YOU'RE OUT. I do not need any recommendations. Being at my local dealership, Southern Motors Honda, I asked them if they knew anyone. They did, The Crackmaster. Except for the dust inside and dirty door threshold, I would give this experience 5 stars. Easy appointment, a person quickly took the national service call inquiry, and the cracked Kia Soul windshield was replaced cleanly and within the promised time. It had to be done at their location due to the need to calibrate the lane-hold sensor, but it all works. The windshield installation is clean and aligned, no deductible for this insurance replacement. It's a nuisance to need these repairs, but the Pooler, GA location did a good job. read more

Safelight came to my home to replace my cracked windshield. The very next day there was a crack in the new windshield. Obviously from improper installation. I scheduled a warranty replacement and they claim it's from another impact even though there is no evidence of an impact. They would not honor the warranty. Visited here for warranty rework. They were polite and courteous. They fixed one of the issues beyond expectations . The 2nd issue they tried but it really is out of there hands due to third party vender quality. The rain sensor keeps activating on its own. After market windows are a know cause to this. I've had several chips and cracks fixed in the past. Going to this shop for the first time, they warned me that "sometimes" the chip becomes a crack and the windshield needs to be replaced. I've never had anyone say that before, but thought that it's from a past lawsuit and this company's standard saying. A little while later, I get a text saying they completed their work. That wasn't true because they cracked my windshield and now wanted to replace it too. No way are they going to be rewarded with my money after they broke my windshield. It had a chip, not a crack, now a foot long. This seems to be their new scam. The insurance company pays for the crack to be fixed, and then the car owner pays for the windshield to be replaced. Nope, not me... In response to the business: 1. Use a sharp drill bit. 2. Don't apply a lot of pressure to the glass when drilling. 3. Watch YouTube videos for training. It's not brain surgery. This whole catastrophe started on December 16 when I was scheduled to get the windshield on my car replaced. The tech showed up on time but the replacement windshield was scratched pretty badly so we rescheduled for the following Saturday. No big deal, mistakes happen and the reschedule was pretty seamless. I was scheduled for service for Saturday the 23rd between noon and 5 pm. The tech called me at 930 that morning and said he'd be there at 10, which was a little early so I told him to stick to the regularly scheduled time since I wasn't home and already blocked out my whole afternoon for this. The tech showed up, was very polite and got started at around 3. He called me a while later and asked me to come outside to the car. Seems like he'd snapped my rearview mirror while finishing up the install. I could immediately see why; he'd installed the wrong windshield on my car and probably snapped it trying to finagle it back on. The windshield they installed has a circuit box at the top for backup cameras but I don't have a backup camera so the circuit box is unnecessary for my model. It fit fine and I've had no problem with the windshield since, but being the windshields is all that this company does you'd think they could get it right. The tech was very apologetic and told me someone would get in touch soon about replacing it and left. Soon would be ideal since I can't legally operate my car on a public roadway without a rearview mirror and all. But a week goes by and nothing, not a peep. No call, no email, no text, no nothing. Lucky for me, my dad was in the ICU at the time and I was able to use his car and not shell out for a rental. I received a satisfaction email from corporate the following week and stated that I was not satisfied, not even a little. Finally, the next Thursday I called Safelite's main line and was told that someone from the Pooler store within the next day or two because they had my mirror. That didn't happen either. Finally, two and a half weeks later, on a Wednesday afternoon, I got an email from Safelite saying that my mirror was in and that someone would come by the following afternoon between noon and five pm to replace my rearview mirror. Very convenient, I mean what on Earth is a regular adult doing between the hours of noon and five pm on a Thursday? Nothing, right? There is nothing else that any reasonable, responsible adult would be doing between those hours on a Thursday afternoon. I replied to the email expressing my severe displeasure with the service, the lack of contact from anyone regarding it, and that I was considering legal action since I couldn't legally drive my car for over two weeks thanks to them. The response I received a snarky email from Sabrina, the assistant manager, which was completely lacking in apologies but heavy on the lies. She said they tried to contact me once by phone but the line was busy, which is odd since cell phones will direct straight to voicemail instead of giving a busy signal. I also think it's strange that Safelite's policy in this regard is to try and call once and then never again. Even stranger that I received emails and text messages from them about services before that they didn't try one of those. She also advised me that I should have asked for a rental if I needed one. Right, that's on me. I should have asked the absolutely no one who contacted me until 24 hours before they scheduled service. She also said that they just got the mirror that day which contradicted what I was told on the phone a week earlier. She told me I was free to contact legal but she didn't know why I would since I was getting the mirror replaced the next day. Not a single apology or admittance of any negligence on their part. Luckily, I was off that week since my father passed away the previous Saturday and I was on bereavement leave, so it was easy to meet the tech the next afternoon and just be done with this trainwreck. I can only surmise that this complete failing of basic customer service is because they don't care. They're a large company with a lot of business already on the books due to branding and name recognition. The mistake that I made. Don't use Safelite, especially not this one, find someone local who will actually value your business and will go the extra mile to take care of you. That's what I'll be doing in the future and will never use Safelite again. read more

Pebble flew into my windshield and cracked it. Called this location and got Pauline. She was nice, informative, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. SC insurance allows one free windshield a year, so she helped me use the right method to get a replacement free of charge and was able to put me on the appointment books for next day repair. I will update my review after being serviced, but I have no bad things to say as of right now. read more

Well, I came back to update a review I had written earlier, but I don't see it here. I remember doing it because at the time it was very complimentary. Since I wrote the review I have had an ongoing problem with moisture inside my windshield. Sometimes it is pretty bad, and others it's worse. I can't predict when it will happen, but it usually comes after rainfall. And even then, it's not always that same day or the next. I've looked and looked but I can't find any source of the leak. I just know my issues began after my windshield was replaced by a technician from this location. read more

The person answering the phone was as friendly as a rattlesnake. No customer service skills. Allstate insurance says they are there recommended glass service. Got better pricing else where with much better customer service. Definitely a company with to much business. Highly recommend checking around and you will be much happier. read more
