I'm not someone that is super car savvy. Yes, I've taken auto classes in high school and I know the…read morebasics but I get very overwhelmed when the conversation gets in depth. I was in need of a new serpentine belt as my car has been screeching at me whenever I crank it up. Fairly simple fix. So I headed to my local auto zone to buy the part so i could do the work myself. Upon entering I was greeted by someone at the register that I couldn't see. I looked up and down a few aisles in search of my part so I assumed it was behind the employees on their shelves. I got in line behind a few other people and at the time there was only one cashier. After about 2 minutes someone came from the back shelves and started checking out customers which sped up the process. Once I got to the register I asked for the part and provided my make & model. The older gentleman was super helpful. He helped me narrow down my search and let me explain exactly what I was trying to fix on my car. He really took his time speaking with me and I didn't feel rushed or like I was being talked down to. Very appreciative. Definitely a positive experience.

The…read moreemployees stopped, stared at me and the women who I assume might be a shift lead told me with an attitude that I would be either need to park my car on the sidewalk (which is illegal in Georgia according to Georgia code 40-6-203) or wait for the rain to stop. I offered to change the direction I parked since I parked in front of the door so that the drivers side was directly in front of the door. She then gave me an attitude and stated no without trying to find a solution which would've simply been me changing my direction and placing the scanner into a plastic bag until in my car with the door closed. I will not be returning as none of the staff were helpful or pleasant to deal with. So not only do they have unpleasant staff. They were trying to get me to do something that is illegal in the state of Georgia.

Which they wouldn't open for a customer. I spoke with obviously frightened individual thru a glass window. When I asked if they work on Japanese made cars. It was explained to me that they did not. (Despite their business being titled asian automotive) in addition I was told that they were not taking on any new customers. Lies of this magnitude cannot go announced. After being out in the yard for about two hours and 96° heat, I really wanted a red Powerade. So I put my card up to it and ordered the Powerade it approved. My card went through. Nothing came out the machine. As to not frazzle the already frantic old lady that runs the place I simply asked for change from my $20. Mind you this place collects three dollars per person for every entry into the yard. Not only was I told to just have the water that was free, but I was met with eyes rolling and sighs From what seems to be the new GM!(old Latin woman with a piss poor attitude!! ) So much so that I felt the need to just leave and say screw the Powerade and my money already spent in the machine as this was causing her undue stress that I didn't need to invoke on a senior citizen on what is only the second day of the work week. These people make it really hard to shop local and not go over to LKQ where they give you service with a smile and help you with the Powerade's in the machine. Let us not forget that you aren't paying us to take your old used parts, we're paying you to take your old used car parts that we take off the cars and pay an outrageous premium for so stop being so mean and hateful to your customers and maybe appreciate them Instead of making them feel so uncomfortable that they say screw their money and leave. Don't worry, I will not be coming back. God hates ugly but he sure made a hell of a lot of it.
