This time it is, so thanks for the info. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The repair tech called, day of the appointment, to check if we were available early and we received a text message when he arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even though it was very cold he was able to do the repair work. He was 'here and gone' in what felt like 'no time at all'. Quick and easy process. Our insurance company was notified by us ahead of the appointment and we sent them all the info they needed. Had Safelite replaced the windshield in my savanna van ,this was during the pandemic. They ruined my headliner. It's falling down now also ruined the clips for the molding around the outside of the windshield . They also installed a new windshield without the solar guard on the top edge of the window that really helps with the sun and the heat from the sun, the one they took out was that type [[HIGHLIGHT]]tried to call and have this rectified never got through to anybody.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would not use them ever. read more

Nightmare experience at the Warwick location. My windshield cracked due to a rock on I-95, and I took the car in to have it replaced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Because of work I was unable to drop my car off, so Rocco came and picked it up. No issues with him at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I got to work, I had a full tank of gas, and I even reset the trip odometer just in case someone decided to take my car out on a joyride. The trip to Safelite in Warwick from where I work is 17 miles. That being said, when this bum kid "technician" dropped my car back off, the car had almost 50 miles on the same trip, and I was missing half of my gas. 17 x 2 = 34. That's almost 20 un-accounted for miles. My car was locked in sport mode the steering wheel was all screwed up, which I never use, the seat was basically reclined flat and there was a Snickers wrapper on the floor. First off, I had the car detailed a few days prior, I know it was spotless when it was picked up. Secondly, I'm allergic to nuts, so I don't eat Snickers, rarely even candy alone. I didn't get the "technician's" name. I was so pissed I threw the wrapper into the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke to Rocco, and he said the technician could have taken a detour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well, I made some phone calls and not only were there no detours going on at the time the car was brought back to my work, but there's also no such thing as a 17-mile detour. Mind you, the kid beat on my car, just as most people do when they get a rental car from a dealership or borrow someone else's car. On top of all this, the new windshield that I just paid almost $650 for, cracked less than 48 hours later. They diagnosed it as a "stress crack" and even though it's covered under warranty, I'm still pissed. According to the service records, they changed my cabin air filter and windshield wipers. I needed new wipers but not an air filter as it was basically brand new. Whoever installed this CAF that I did not ask for, nor did I want to be installed, put it in the wrong way and/or got something clogged into it because my car will shake if I put the heat on and the fan noise will sound like a jet engine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went in person today and the manager Nate was great; he was very helpful and so was one of his other guys that actually inspected the windshield.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All things considered, the only thing making me go back to this place on Monday is the fact that the windshield is covered under the warranty they gave me. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Since then, I have been calling two to three times a week--every single week--for roughly ONE MONTH NOW and I have never once received an incoming call from them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I call, I'm told the part is coming in "tomorrow" and that I'll get a call--but that call never comes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On top of that, my online quote was $500, but when I arrived, the total jumped to $999 after parts and labor. As I waited for my three-hour appointment (which was every bit of the three hours I was quoted for a three-inch crack), I overheard multiple other customers also being surprised by unexpected price hikes. Safelite certainly isn't a place that anyone wants to go to for fun and excitement. Unfortunately, my brand new car met with something on the highway two days ago that chipped my windshield. After blurting out a few obscenities I contacted my insurance company who put me in touch with Safelite, who was going to fill the chip less than 24 hours after it happened and they were going to do it all at my work. To add insult to injury, I woke up to my chip having spread significantly. I contacted both Safelite and my insurance who agreed to put a new OEM windshield in; however, due to some special features, could not be done at my work as multiple sensors would have to be precisely calibrated. I called my dealership to see who the recommended. I was told that they exclusively use Safelite and reassured me that they were qualified to do all calibrations without affecting my warranty. In less than 48 hours after my chipped windshield I found myself in their Warwick office greeted by friendly staff. I was told that it would take two hours, so off to lunch we went. After our lunch was finished I received a call from Safelite saying that my car was ready a full hour before I had anticipated! After inspecting their work, I was not only impressed with the quality of their work, but I could not tell a difference between now and the day I picked up my car from the dealer. Honestly, the windshield looked far better than the day I picked up my new car! I will never hesitate to use Safelite again and gladly recommend their service to anyone for any vehicle! read more

Stuck in the middle of nowhere, and waiting three hours to get my car back, this place discarded my expensive orthopedic seat cushion, improperly reinstalled my rear view mirror which fell off while I was driving home causing me to turn the car around and go back (without benefit of rear view mirror) to have it attached properly. No paperwork was given to me upon returning my car (I had to ask for it) and they left my transponder sitting on the console and not reattached to windshield. I am livid at the number of thoughtless careless mistakes Safelight made in one short period of time. I'll never go back. The Warwick location is not professional and are very CARELESS. read more

They repaired a small chip in my windshield and approximately a month and a half later it spread throughout the entire windshield. Their phone number does not allow you to speak with a representative. You can only activate through their website, which does not allow repair for any guaranteed work. Tech was a one man show and did his best to keep up, but due to him being alone and having to rush the attention to detail wasn't there. Standing on door sills that are painted with gravel in sneakers is bad news, now I have to repair the paint and my rearview mirror assembly and window are misaligned. terrible service. i had a 9:30 appointment. I was told it would be a 1.5 hour wait. The tech did not take the car in intill 10:30. about 11:15 the tech came in and told be that the cowling was tight and when she tried to istall the glass it broke and to go to the desk to make a new appointment. I had taken the day out of work and had an inspection sceduled for the day. I asked if they could get a new windshield . I was no. after another half an hour the manager came and gave me my key and turn is back on me with out sayinf a word. Our brand new crv needed a new windshield .the insurance referred us to Safelight. Because we needed a windshield from the manufacturer ,we had to wait until it arrived . They notified us and we scheduled an appt . Our appt was 10:00, they started working on it at 10:30 and it was completed 1 hr later . They provided updates every tine another phase was done. See provided photos of before and after the window repair... unbelievable that my vehicle was returned in this condition. Unfortunately I had to get my passenger window replaced after it was broken in Providence. They were booked solid for almost a week so it took some time to get an appointment. The call center rep was very friendly. They were able to take my car the next day to vacuum the glass out and put a crash wrap on until they could replace the window. On the day of my appointment, they took my car right on time and it as finished in about an hour. The staff was friendly. I had a positive experience and although I hope I do not need their services again, they will be my first choice in the event I do. read more

Went through this place as my insurance suggested since my windshield was chipped. They couldn't repair the chip after drilling into it more. I decided it would be best to replace it. I returned the following week and dropped off the car. The replacement they got in was smashed. So far, they have pushed my appointment 2x and still don't have the replacement. All while now my wiper blades are cut up thanks to the chips. Tried calling the local store but you are out through to the call center who is super unhelpful. Will not use them again. This was the second time I've used Safelite, but the first time I've been to one of their shops (the first time, a few years back, they sent a technician out to me). I had set up an appointment with Safelite at their Warwick location after finding a long crack down the top end of my windshield. Unfortunately, it was REALLY cold that weekend (in the teens, feel like temps below 0*) and the crack extended past 6" before I showed up to my appointment. A Safelite technician checked out my windshield and informed me that the crack was indeed too long to be repaired (insurance wouldn't cover it) and that he found the impact point of a pebble/rock at the very top of my windshield which is why it cracked long instead of spidering. Set up an appointment for the following week. Was told the service would take about an hour but was actually in and out within about 30 minutes -- I was the last appointment of the day and apparently they had multiple technicians working on my car which made the process go much faster, it was much appreciated! Everyone I interacted with at both appointments were very nice and had no problems answering my questions or explaining things that were unclear to me. My review is for an employee of Safelite, Warwick store. I entered the gas station/ Dunkin Donuts on Post rd across from the airport, behind a Safelite van. There were 2 spots right near the door. Think oh crap the Safelite van is gonna take the good spot. But no he parked in the handicapped spot. (clearly marked and signed). When I went in I was behind him and said in a loud voice "hey...you don't look handicapped to me, why did you park in a handicapped spot" ? He got all pissy and in my face, threatening me with bodily harm. A little BOY (about 5 foot 2 in) with a big attitude. and in need of grooming. He yells "I don't give a F*&%K about the handicap spot" I am a 73 year old vet of the VietNam war. I don't need to be disrespected by some 20 something rude and crude baby boy. Tried to call corporate........ no numbers connect to a person. Just a large phone tree that goes in circles. So after some digging, I get to online chat. She gives me the number to the Warwick store. (the posted number goes to main phone tree) I call and talk to Matt who says he was in charge. Claims that he doesn't know who I am talking about. I went to the Warwick, RI location. I had an appointment to get my windshield replaced on September 20th. I drove 30 minutes to my appointment. After waiting for a short period of time (they brought my car to the garage) the man brought my car back out and said my windshield wasn't in yet. I was a bit upset because no one bothered to call me to reschedule and I had made the appointment 2 weeks prior. They didn't really care. I got a call the next morning saying that my windshield was in. I brought it back in that next Monday and got the windshield replaced. The next day I noticed that whomever replaced my windshield put their dirty fingers on the cloth ceiling of my car...so now I have greasy fingerprints on the ceiling. They also left a small rip in my ceiling. On top of all that; they didn't calibrate my cameras properly. I will never bring my car back there. My spouse took hers to a Safelite in MA and they did a fantastic job so there is no excuse for the problems I had in Warwick. read more
