Oh be prepared to wait! I am now having to re-instate due to Zoom. My connection had no issues and yet I was dropped. I notified the office right away just to sit on hold, be taken off hold to hear chatting in the background, then back to hold. They need a class action law suit against them. This program alone should be the only reason one avoids drunk driving. The women who run this program are rude and uncompromising assholes. They will come up with every reason under the sun to charge excessive $50 fines, which was dramatically increased from $35 without any reason provided. I took the CMSP class here. The instructors are very nice and knowledgable. I can tell they are very serious in making you become a safe rider. I failed the riding test on my first attempt, and I was able to attend the range class again and pass my test. You don't have to pay again, you just need to be in the standby list and the instructor will call you when there is an open spot. I got in about 2 weeks later. I had Bryan, Taylor, Vince, Bryce, and Lori as my instructors. They're all amazing people. read more

Referring to the DUI program, for those of you who made major mistakes in your life and you need a DUI program to satisfy court requirements, trust me: avoid this place like the plague. The counselors are great, but the administrative staff constantly makes mistakes. If you want false information relayed, financial mistakes on your account, general idiocy sent your way then this is the place for you. On my first day the second I walked in the person running the class accused five different people of drinking. Every single one asked to prove themselves and take a breathalyzer but then she backed out. This tells me one of two things: either she knew she was wrong or she never smelled any alcohol at all and was just trying to scare people. Either way this is so wrong. I took my 1st motorcycle class, had only been a passenger on a motorcycle until then. I laid the bike down on the final exam, obviously I did not pass but I was rushed off the course, handed a slip to retake the class and pressured to leave without being explained to what I had done wrong and how I could learn from it. I called every week to get into another class, they said they were full each week for over 6 weeks. When they did fit me in, I was overly cautious on the bike because during the last class I had crashed and didn't understand why. I failed again and was told to not wait 6 weeks to take the next class. They were the ones that had made me wait over 6 weeks..... didn't teach me how to ride and didn't explain my mistakes so I could learn. read more

I'm tentative in writing this review. Because I've haven't taken my second class yet. But I do have an opinion. The bike I rode had a clutch where its friction zone was only an inch wide at the top. Now anybody who rides can tell you at that point the clutch is on or off. The bike kept I tried to feather it on the cones but was told to stop releasing it so fast. I will go back though. Just showed me the Indian I wanted was too big for me. Not saying they weren't good instructors. But you need to maintain your bikes more. read more

Similar to the other reviews about the DUI class, I say run the other way. Go to anybody else. The education part wasn't educational. We'd have two hour discussion and videos about the the consequences of drunk driving to the individual and people involved in the crashes. While it's important to understand the severity of what can happen the amount and repetition of those accounts from people, it felt more like guilting. We'd then go on to discuss things like: What do you think the drinking age should be? Do you think the that drunk driving is dangerous? Do you think the consequences are fair? What do we think the sentencing should be for DUI's? Besides the actual classes the customer service is HORRIBLE. There has only ever been one person to answer the number and most of the time it goes to voicemail. This would be fine if I ever received a call back. I would call multiple times and send numerous emails and get no response for weeks. When I had questions I couldn't get them answered unless I happened to call at the right time and get the person on the line. I've been told wrong information and had to badger them with phone calls and emails to get an answer. The ONLY time I got a prompt response was after I emailed saying I'd have to go to the DMV and ask for their assistance in getting a hold of the program. read more

Overall experience with Safetyville 5/2/24 Bike Night was enjoyable. Intended for the whole family, but really a fun experience for young children through elementary school. It's a fantastic place for kids to learn the importance of street safety in a hands-on and engaging way with their own bikes and scooters. No e-bikes or e-scooters allowed. For this event, they offered resources like bike maintenance with a representative from the SABA organization. They provided loaner bikes for those in need and even free helmets for keeps. I don't know if these resources are available on non-event nights. Safetyville itself is a mini town made up of business buildings with names of real Sacramento businesses which I'm assuming are sponsors of Safetyville. It has replica streets that include stop signs, cross walks with lights and even a train track with drop bars, lights, sound, but minus the a train. Some of the buildings could use a fresh coat of paint and some could use a refresh of some kind to not look like an abandoned building, but kids won't notice these things, they'll be too busy enjoying their ride. Helmets a must! If you are riding, you have to wear a helmet. This event was free and worth going to. Sidewalks are irregularly high and steep. I think maybe to prevent riding on the sidewalks, but dangerous to trip over. You can bring outside food and make it a late lunch or early dinner outing for the family. Bring lawn chairs in case all the picnic tables are taken. Event was 4pm to 6:30pm. There were employees walking around, but not to teach or show the kids how to properly use the mini town like to stop at the stop sign or riding on the correct side of the street for the safety of themselves and others so I would strongly suggest walking around with your kids to teach them that stuff. There were what looked like high school kids also helping with the event. I don't believe they were on staff, but maybe doing community service hours. I would also suggest correcting speed with your children and kindly speaking to other children if they are going too fast or speak with their parents if you're comfortable to. Accidents are bound to happen! There are bathroom facilities. You can even rent the whole place out for an event which includes an event space for tables and chairs. Overall a fun and educational experience for kids and would recommend checking it out. read more

TERRIBLE DUI PROGRAM was ONE MINUTE late due to internet problems and they cut me out of the class. Had to pay to reschedule. No one told me I had to do nine MORE classes after the initial SEVEN DUI education classes. NINE more weeks of this garbage. The classes are super repetitive. Same old crap over and over and over. This is clearly just an organization that wants to make money. luckily, I live close to the office and can go in every time I have a question or problem. This review pertains to the motorcycle safety course. Scheduled to take the course in September of this year. Took the two classroom sessions, completed the classroom exam, and took the first day (Saturday) of the course training. Showed up on Sunday (early) for the second day of the exam and it turned out that their trailer was broken into and the bikes had been stolen. So, they gave me a form to reschedule. After some mix-up on rescheduling, I finally got in this weekend. Although the weather was terrible, the instructors were fantastic (Chris and I didn't get the other guy's name). The instructors and all of the students persevered and it paid off as we all passed! So happy I took this course. I think you will be, too. read more

So excited that I passed the safety course. I have to say those instructors are Amazing. Definitely had no idea what I was doing, and they really made it easy to follow. I didn't pass my first time and to be honest it was for the best. It was definitely a blow to the ego since I'm a perfectionist but much needed. I took it again a few weeks later and so happy I did. I went in not knowing how to ride a motorcycle and the trainers Vince and John took us step by step from the beginning to learn about the motorcycle, then to slowly walk riding to riding! I would recommend this center to people who have never been on a motorcycle and to those who want to learn advance training skills to ride. Motorcycle Training Course: (Sacramento, CA - Bradshaw Facility) If you want to ride a motorcycle, I HIGHLY encourage you to take this course. Period. Don't hesitate & don't make up with excuses to postpone or delay this important step. The classroom materials provided me with vital information to help make me a safer & more informed rider. It was nice to ask questions in the classroom and get professional answers (not opinions) from qualified & well-trained instructors. When diagrams (photos or chart) are unclear, instructors can clarify things for you. I had two separate classroom instructors and both were knowledgeable & great presenters. Facility is nice, clean, well ventilated/conditioned, with clear overhead projection & white screen. There are ~24 students in the classroom so seating arrangement is spacious. Clean restroom too. Range training was essential. Being self-taught, I developed riding methods over the years that - surprisingly didn't brought harm to myself - only now, have I discovered to be "unsafe practices" or "non-conventional" techniques. Some of which are: 1) Applying brakes at the wrong time during fast turns. 2) Closed throttle sometime during a turn which caused my bike to jerk so corning was not smooth or safe. Sure I always realigned my path but that's not being a good rider. 3) Target Fixation issues. 4) Shifted my gear to Neutral at stop lights. Found out this is not ideal or safe. 5) Riding when exhausted because I had to get to places. 6) Making un-smooth wide turns. 7) Placing my bike in neutral while parking. 8) There are more... So the classroom information & range exercises helped me - in a huge way - to understand why I made the mistakes/improper techniques mentioned above then showed me the proper ways to eliminate/correct them. Different riders will have different needs, questions or issues. Ask your instructors for help. Find your errors & bad habits & correct them asap. Also, your specific questions can help other students learn. Instructors are very dedicated and love what they do. It was humbling to see my range instructors (Scott & Chris) standing, walking, & running around in the summer heat to watch all riders perform & catch our mistakes. They will do this to you too so don't take it personally. That's their role and pointing out your errors for correction will benefit you a great deal. They are well organized & have answers to all the questions that were asked by my group. Depending on the riding exercise, Scott & Chris will perform a demonstration to show us how it should be properly done. Overall range was fun, educational, & gave me enough time to ask questions & to practice various riding exercises. I've passed both the written and riding test. Yeah! ;) Some recommendation for new students: 1) I could be wrong but it's good to have some riding experience so you can at least balance the motorcycle. They are small 150cc cruiser bikes but still require some skills with stirring, turning, & keeping the bike upright/balance. If you can't do these basics, you'll have a rough time keeping up at the range. But again, I'm sure your instructors can work with you. 2) Read the entire MTC (Motorcycle Training Course) Student Handbook V7 first before the initial classroom session. Finish the book a few days before class will keep the information fresh in your mind. 3) Bring sufficient food, snacks & water to range. It takes strength & energy to ride a bike so if you didn't come prepared, you'll drain yourself after 2 hours and become a sloppy rider. 4) Mistakes will be made so don't laugh at your fellow classmates or be too critical at yourself. Provide moral & spiritual support. A few special requests for instructors and Safety Center/Training Program: 1) Using a megaphone can greatly enhance instruction clarity. Sometimes I get partial instructions because I was too far away, with helmet on & 12 bike engines running. 2) People like me are not great performers during "exams" or when being observed due to nervousness/pressure/anxiety/etc... So if possible, during final riding test, please factor in the overall performance demonstrated by students - like myself - throughout the riding exercises & course. If a student can perform well during exercises but sloppy during the final text, it's due to nervousness/pressure/anxiety/etc... 3) To Lisa, our classroom instructor, just keep doing what you're doing. Amazing as is. 5 hours in a classroom can be rough but you made it fun and educational for me & the rest of us. If I could give a zero star rating this would be it. This place is horrible- starting from leadership and management. They overwork their employees, are unprofessional, and rude. Employees can't even report their leads or supervisors because HR only listens to their side. This is one of the reasons why they have a high turnover rate. This is my first time bringing my kids here for a friend's kid's party.. Awesome place for kids.. Bring bikes so they can ride around the whole place.. All the buildings are super awesome.. Like others have said RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! This place is a complete scam! They have the worst customer service I fought them for over a month on my balance as I was given completely different amounts by their employees! I contacted them on a regular basis to figure this out never hearing back from them. They sent a letter to dmv an the courts stating I had not contacted them in over 20 days an my license was suspended! They finally figured out their money mistake sent a retraction letter an I was able to resume my classes. I was in a class never dropped internet even double checked with my counselor that my zoom was never dropped because I would not have stayed the whole 2 hours he reassured me I never dropped and I was then told I would not get credit for the class an would have to pay for an absences! I have reached out to supervisors about all of the problems I have had with zero response. I was to join a wed night class an was never sent the link they said they would take the fee off but not the absence as they felt it was not their fault! How is that not your fault?? Now I go to my LAST CLASS on my BRAND NEW laptop I have not used for anything besides these classes and all of a sudden get a notification that my computer has gotten a virus from the open link (THEIR ZOOM) and my computer shuts down kicks me out an takes me over 15 mins to get restarted at which time my zoom passwords will no longer work an have to be reset! I only go on zoom for their class. I finally get in the class an am told I can not stay because I was gone to long. I have taken note that almost every person who joins and says anything about it being a last class is kicked out one way or another. I also learned during one of my last classes I was supposed to receive a book I PAID for that not one single person even mentioned to me. This place is a joke to handle your DUI classes. If you have a question, be prepared to feel like a fool when you call in. NOBODY in the office staff is friendly... Like, not one bit. I had my entire program paid off ahead of time. Missed a class in April, so I knew I was going to get a penalty. But they stopped sending out notifications with what you owe due to Covid. So I received a letter today, July 14th, saying I owe $105 that includes a $35 late fee... Called them to see why it's late since I just received the letter, and they scold you that its always due the first... You should obviously remember this from you're original agreement 18 months ago... They have no concern that MAYBE they should have a way of notifying you there's something due. And when questioned, they don't care and and give you the same short answer very rudely. I can't wait to not have to deal with these fools.
