Daryll did not agree with that and had no right to interfere, but instead of dropping my mother's property from my policy, he refused to become the broker of record of the insurance policy even though I was the primary. He wanted to keep me and my mother's property together in the umbrella policy. He kept saying "no don't do that, I disagree, just think about it" and kept calling over and over despite adamantly telling him. The insurance carrier took my mother's broker as the broker of record and dropped me off my own policy. Daryll Fredricks actively chose to not contact the insurance carrier with my proof of ownership to establish I should not be dropped. Daryll then caused my next renewal to be 2x the price because I had no policy to renew. I had to start a new one.

Before I knew it, I was paying the Full Year of both Renters and Auto. Saving $200 which I thought may have bern worth the switch. Not so fast..I couldnt get their Mobile App to work, did not get confirmation of how much I paid, finding that there are different departments based on what you needed, I decided to call Amara for help. Left 2 messages with no call back. I then called Customer Service to answer some questions that came up, waited on the phone 40 min, got a gent, who put me on hold---forever. But i realized it was bc the broker I had at global coverage prior to this didn't care to explain anything to me. In fact, I had to chase her to answer my emails! Cameron is so different! The whole point of having an intermediary between you and the insurance company is to have someone help you understand what level of coverage is sufficient for your needs and to understand what the insurers will and will not cover in the case you need to make a claim. If you can't do a simple thing like treat clients like they matter and like their questions matter, then you simply have no value in my opinion. Which is why despite getting similar quotes with Chubb from a nyc based brokerage, I went with Cameron. Nyc apt buyers, don't be afraid to work through an out of town broker for your insurance needs!
