He did a great job of going over the basics and then going over real life situations. He was engaging the entire way through, not one second was boring. I needed to get my BLS certification, and needed it pretty soon. I had looked around quite a bit for an inexpensive option that had to be through the American Heart Association, and this was one of the options recommended by the school of nursing. I was able to sign up for a class in the same week, and it was only $60. Way cheaper than I found elsewhere. They had weekend, night, and morning classes so almost anyone could fit it into their schedule. Richard was my instructor and he was super friendly, helpful, and very human. I really liked the fact that he was an EMT. Some people were running late to the class due to a car accident on the road next to the building and they were very understanding. The test at the end can be taken multiple times if needed, but it isn't hard since everything is gone over thoroughly. I'll definitely be coming back when I need to renew. read more

Heartbeat does the best job with BLS/CPR classes. I renewed my certification yesterday with Adam. He is by far the best CPR instructor that I have had. He emphasized the practical aspects of CPR, my arms are sore today from the practice. He even demonstrated an epi pen, narcan, and tourniquets. He was willing to stay after for additional practice. I took the Heartbeat Renewal Class and I loved the class. The class was affordable. It took approximately 2 hours and a half. Our instructor's name was Tyler and he was straight to the point, very clear, made jokes and was very friendly. He made sure that we were following and doing the techniques correctly. Registering for the class is super easy and the website is user friendly. The place where this centre is located is widely accessible, place is clean, and the staff are accommodating, professional and friendly. Our instructor was ADAM K., he is very knowledgeable, executes well, very professional and shows patience when teaching the students/learners. He makes sure that the class understands before proceeding to the next topic. He coaches and encourages every student to give their best shot. Also, he gives scenarios more than the video shows and gives tips or information that are useful for a health care provider when performing it in a real situation be it in a clinic, parking lot, hospital etc. Their materials are great and informative, they have mannequins that shows the learners if they are doing the compression right or wrong. they have freebies that you will enjoy as well. The class went fast yet very educational. They have an excellent place where every student can learn and practice doing the principles in BLS. This was an amazing class the instructor was Adam teaching this class and I would recommend this class to everyone. Real life saving role playing when a true emergency happens you will be ready to help. This class was the first class in all my years I a have taking CRP class where they had you place the manikin/ Person on the ground and do the drills. Role playing every step over on how to respond in a true Emergency. ADAM even offered to stay later if people had additional questions He went over that information and more.
