Twice I have been to this location and needed to ask an associate for help and both times it was an old lady who was scratching her lottery tickets that she was purchasing instead of helping self check out this time it was an elderly lady who I needed help in the liquor cabinet and she continually told me I don't know when I was asking for help on looking for an item. If you're too old and grumpy to be working with customers who are just kindly asking for help, maybe try Walmart. I shop at Safeway often and I also do pick up orders for you so it's very frustrating to be treated badly by old ladies who clearly don't wanna be working. read more

I've been coming to the store with my family since I was a little kid. Close to home prices are always competitive and the people are most friendly you may even see some of them at your local church. I know since the pandemic a lot of things have changed. There are a lot of excuses being used by businesses, like supply chain issues and short staffing. This particular Safeway is by far the worse store I gave dealt with in recent years. There are no valid excuses! I've been given expired products in my on line orders, found expired items constantly on the store shelves if I shop in the store. I've been given wrong items for on line orders and to top it all I was charged twice for the same on line pick up order. It took calling corporate customer service and waiting 10 days for a supervisor to approve a refund, when they could clearly see and admitted they could see I was charged twice. This store is the closest store to where I live, but now I choose to take my business elsewhere! read more

The only thing I go here for is the 8 piece fried dark meat chicken. A great price and so much better than Kentucky Fried. Seems weird to say that but Kentucky Fried has went down hill for many years. I have tried the chicken at other Safeway stores but not as well done as this store?!? Friendly and helpful cashiers! They do a great job of bringing back carts and trying their best to keep the floors clean in the store. The floral and meat department have always helped when I needed something or had a question. Many times I've had coworkers or family ask about the cakes and desserts and say it's from Safeway!! Their fruit tarts, Victorian cake and ladyfinger fruit basket cakes are my favorite! Deli usually needs a helping hand during busy time but that's everywhere. One time I forgot to grab a bag of ice and the deli guy let me pay for that one item there which was very convenient. I will continue to shop there for good prices and selection of food. read more

A nice Safeway. Store is clean and there are always employees walking around to point you in the right direction if you cant' locate an item on your shopping list. I would have given them four stars, but I'm docking them a star because their gas station is really small. If you are heading towards Crystal Mountain, be sure to get gas here because it's usually $0.05 cheaper then the Enumclaw Safeway a few miles away. read more

UPS needs to be made aware that customer service is not avalable here, funny thing is just half an hour later I met up with someone and they proceeded to tell me their experience at same location where I just came from. Obviously the the lady working October 22 didn't get the memo that being helpful and friendly are part of her job. Grunting and pointing are not appropiate responses. The elderly lady with short hair was being extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate to the girls in front of me it kept saying insufficient funds and they were my friends and she definitely had enough money and the lady was being real aggressive with the buttons and being rude about the fact that it wasn't going through and I ended up paying for it but for goodness sake she could have been a lot nicer about the entire situation, i get times are hard right now for everyone but have some consideration for how you talk to your customers. read more

Wife went in today for her Covid vaccine booster dose. It was given to her in the front of her left shoulder (not a muscle) rather than in her deltoid muscle where an Intramuscular (IM) injection should be given. When I saw the site I told her she has a responsibility to inform the pharmacy manager. I'm a healthcare provider and know where an IM vaccination should be given. Unbelievably, the pharmacy manager argued with my wife and basically accused her of lying (We offered to send a picture but she declined our offer, LOL) rather than taking this in the spirit it was intended and using it as a teaching opportunity for the person giving injections. My recommendation as a hospital pharmacy director is to not go to this pharmacy for anything but certainly not an injection of any type. I now have my fingers crossed that she got the correct vaccine. We shop at this store for groceries and gas and spend hundreds of dollars per month there. Due to the pharmacy managers attitude and lack of customer service, we are done going to this store for anything. Fred Meyer is very close by. read more

Safeway is always more expensive with less brand choice. Too many Safeway brands. For me it is always hard to find what I'm looking for and too few employees to ask for help. Safeway Floral Delivery Ordered anniversary floral bouquet two full days before delivery. I was out of town so it was extremely important for this delivery to arrive at my wife's work. On the day of delivery I was emailed notifying me that they were unable to deliver the flowers. Telephoned the delivery department and was told they are still catching up from Mothers Day. This is one of my favorite Safeway stores, the staff is always friendly the store is always clean and stocked well. I've been coming here for the last 16 years. Growing up with probably the best Vons ever I expected the Safeway here to hold up to the same standards. While I haven't shopped the rest of the store much I've been highly disappointed with the bakery and deli items. The donuts I purchased two weeks ago were burnt and there were no apples in the apple fritters. This store is in a convenient location, always busy with customers. I'll never understand why they chronically understaff the deli. The wait times don't make any sense. My favorite part of Safeway is the people that work there. I started working there in high school, so I know they train their employees to always be helpful and courteous to customers. Whenever I go in, I know that I am going to receive a high level of customer service. The downfall is that their prices seem to have risen in comparison to other stores in the area. Some examples; Winco has a better selection in their meat department, and Fred Meyer has better produce. But hey, I guess every place is going to have something that they excel at. read more

The store is always nice and clean. I have not had a bad cashier yet. They are expensive but have amazing brownies in the bakery section.

I'm a regular at this store for my lunch break and they are either short staffed, rude workers or they totally ignore you while standing there waiting for help. Not to mention I have brought this up to management before and I personally think it has gotten worse since I did. Now the store manager is extremely wonderful to work with but depending on my work day and hours my lunch varies from 1 to 4 and I have now had to ask how fresh the deli items are because I'm not wasting my time or money to get food that tastes gross or hard. These workers behide the counter know me all to well because the ones who would help me when I came in have totally ignored me or had a shitty attitude once they have seen me. I was told they are under staffed but at least during the busy times it would be nice to see more workers doing their jobs and not having to wait up to 20 minutes to get a corn dog or pizza stick. This Safeway needs to do something to make customers wanting to come back. And yes this is a daily issue with them in deli. You can't get in and out of this store in less than 20 minutes, even if you're buying only 1 thing because the lines are SO long. The staff is really nice but they need more people working. I've never been shopping here where there was less than 5 people in each line. read more

The two stars are for the grocery store itself. The pharmacy is another story. They are incompetent. You can get over the counter items easily but if you have a medication that is really important don't go to them. If they have a problem filling it after you've called your Rx in they won't tell you. So when you show up to pick it up you end up having a conversation full of blank stares and awkward pauses. They don't give you warning or anything. Bare minimum service is standard. I am a huge fan of Safeway! I can always find what I'm looking for, and the prices are great! I love the deli section where I can sample the salads (I love me some pasta salad!!). The salads at Safeway have saved me many a time when needing to provide a dish for a work potluck! And I also love the soups they carry. The Tuscan Tomato Basil Bisque Soup is my favorite, especially with some sliced avocado in it!! Mmm... just thinking about it makes me hungry! I also love Dave's Killer Bread, which is great to dip in the soup! The bakery section is also really nice! They have some amazing desserts!! I have surprised many friends over the years with some delicious dessert goodness from Safeway whether it be for their birthday or just because, and let me just say that I've never heard any complaints from my friends! The floral section is also really nice, and it has been the section I've shopped in for mother's day and birthdays and get well moments. This store also has a pet section and a card section, and basically, you can pretty much find just about anything you are looking for. I usually love my safeway. The cashiers are all very nice. When I got bad food from the deli they replaced it but today I decided to get something from Starbucks and I had one of the worst experiences ever at a store. The cashier was so busy flirting with the guy in fron of me that i sighed.... At that, the cashier started telling me how rude I was and that the other worker was making coffee as fast as she can. I told her that I never said anything about that and I started nervously tapped my debit card on the counter and then she layed into me about that! I said it didnt mean anything and told her i wanted to talk to her mngr. The mngr Melissa showed up and started in on me too! I tried to tell her what happened and she said she didnt believe me! The girl was lying to her about what happened and I told the mngr that she was lying and the mngr said she had known this girl for awhile and she never lies. While the mngr was denying everything that this girl had done, the girl was standing behind her laughing and telling me to get over it. Never once did the mngr turn around and tell her to quit laughing and making rude comments. This girl was was escalating the situation and told me to leave the store! I am so angry i will write the main headquarters about the cashier and this mngr. She wouldnt even hear me out! I rarely shop here because the prices are so high. it used to be worth it to shop their sales but not anymore. And after this latest visit I won't be back.. I wanted a quick run tot he deli department, and for once there was no line. just the turtle behind the counter. I ordered the supreme combo meal as we had been working on a home improvement project all day and just wanted quick and easy. took 15 minutes to get a supremem meal of generals and sweet and sour chicken. then another 15 to get out thru checkout which were all at least 5 people deep and only 2 actual cashiers. I finally get out of there and home only to find out my order turned out to be general tso's and breaded chicken. no s&s sause to be found. i called to complain and any other store would just volunteer to send a voucher for a replacement. noooo not safeway.. first im told " well the sauce is free so nothing we can do " then i'm told by a "manager" " what they forgot your sauce? bring in your receipt and we'll replace it." WTF???? Wallmart has better customer service than this place. I'll drive to auburn if I have to use a safeway but will probably just avoid the chain altogether. read more

The store gets 5 stars and the pharmacy gets 0. Outstanding Deli and Bakery. Best donuts around but sometimes they do run out (people must know how good they are). Store is well managed and has the full array of groceries you expect from Safeway. Shelves are always stocked, store is clean and well maintained. Had occasion to talk with manager several times (mostly to compliment him and his staff). With the exception of the Pharmacy which is outside this mangers control, the people who work here are without exception terrific. Unfortunately, after being a huge fan and a major customer of another Safeway pharmacy over the years we moved to Bonney Lake and tried to move 7 standing prescriptions to Safeway. After 4 months and several efforts to get the service established we gave up and have moved our business elsewhere. Customer service and even common courtesy were abysmal. Cannot recommend the pharmacy at all. Fortunately there are 4 alternatives within a mile (Walmart, Target, Fred Meyer and Rite Aid). Apparently the staff of the Pharmacy didn't know that or actually does not care, obviously the latter. Rite Aid has worked out well for us so far. Too bad. Since we don't do our prescriptions there any more it results and several fewer trips a month and we no longer use the gas station either, read more

Loved the people in the Deli I wanted some fried legs and the kid was very honest with me that I would want to buy them and that he would make me some fresh ones. As he did that I had an older gal (she told me she was 69!) who was busting her butt to get to everyone helped was a blast to chat with, she even offered to hold my other hot food in the hot case so I could shop while my chicken was being cooked. I have been extremely disappointed when dealing with the store and the pharmacy. They never have enough check out people, over the intercom it is always saying help in the premium liquor cabinet. The bathroom is gross. I used to go in all the time and they were always the most caring people. NOT anymore. I have been snapped to many times to count. The pharmacy only has 1 person most the time to check out and I have had to wait over 15 minutes the last 3+ times I have gone in. I was told it was because Albertsons now owns Safeway and that the pharmacy had to get rid of 1 person and cut hours on the rest. I am considering taking my prescriptions elsewhere.
