Went to redeem Starbucks rewards before they expire. This was the closest location to me. Brenda was great. She was the only barista and a line formed behind me. She was calm and helpful. I've gotten sick from the produce here. I tried to return something that I bought that was expired and I was treated terribly and had to prove to her that I bought it expired. I had to walk her over to the table in which I got the product and show her that everything on the table was expired. I have never been treated like a criminal for trying to return something. First let me say I did read the fine print With that being said this is my experience . I spent 300 dollars yesterday on groceries I forgot to download the free turkey coupon while I was at the store. So today I realized my mistake. I called the store to see if yesterday's purchase could be used for my free turkey That's right they said no way. I would have to spend another 150 dollars. So my free turkey is is actually going to cost 450 dollars. I am beyond upset. The customer service is atrocious. I became a regular after meeting this man Brandon He's always so helpful and kind he doesn't complain or get made at me or other people when we ask for help. This store does very shady dealings in their meat department. If you buy T-bones they put large T-bones on top and cut the bottom ones you can't see much smaller. This is very deceiving and dishonest. Yelp asked for more photos, added photos to show better what they do, and by the way it is not just Elizabeth Safeway who did this but Parker Safeway did the same thing so Safeway is requiring it's employees to do this not just one store manager. read more

I don't do a lot of reviews for grocery stores, but I felt the Elizabeth Safeway deserved a nod. It is a typical Safeway in that the selection is decent, the every day prices tend to be somewhat high, and the sales are pretty good. Here is what is atypical. The staff seem to be uniformly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. From the butcher, to the checker, to the manager . . . they all ask if you are finding everything okay, and are very helpful. When I couldn't find the chips I wanted, the manager tracked down the facing for me. When I said I hadn't tried that brand, I had to stop him from opening the bag so I could sample them right then and there. This really is above and beyond what one would expect. A final note, not only does Safeway have the least expensive gasoline in Elizabeth (you get a minimum of $.03 off with your club card), but my unscientific analysis has led me to conclude that they are typically as cheap as, or cheaper than any place selling gas in Franktown or Parker. read more

The management at the Safeway in Elizabeth, CO are not enforcing the mask mandate set by the state. They are allowing people with no masks to enter and shop in the store while not wearing a mask. I was just there and there were three ladies and two children with no masks. One lady told me to F*** off when I said to wear the mask. I asked a employee about the mask policy and he just shrugged. Shame on Safeway for put people at risk for Covid-19 and not following the mandates of our state. read more

Took my kids to the Starbucks in Safeway located in Elizabeth. They tried to use the gifts cards they received from helping out at church and the lady told me they didn't have balances. I got home and checked online and all of the cards had money on them. Both ladies behind the counter were rude and glaring at us. This isn't the first time and just reassured me again why I would rather go somewhere else than deal with rude employees. I shop here because it's what we have. I should not be so lazy. Rarely is there more than one checker so the check out lines are generally long Sushi?? Don't waste your money. Veggies used are frozen and mushy. Before the expiration date and the fish was spoiled. Told it was fresh this morning. Not....ginger was old too. Grocery bags?? Better double them. I have been in retail for a long time I started with Safeway I went in today and got Starbucks for me and my husband I ordered ultra caramel frappuccino and asked for extra caramel drizzle and was told by the manager it has enough caramel sauce in it that is why it is called ultra caramel frappuccino. But I was always told customers always right and fulfill their orders. There was not even the normal amount of caramel sauce as a normal caramel frappuccino. So I dont know how is was an ultra caramel frappuccino. You pay so much for the drinks you should get what you ask for. She treated every customer differently that is not right either read more

Overall, the Elizabeth Safeway does a great job - friendly/ helpful employees, very good bakery, deli,etc. This is in real contrast with my experience with their pharmacy, which I have found to be disorganized and highly inefficient. A year ago, I dropped off two prescriptions , picked them up and discovered later at home that the same medication had been put in both containers. The then pharmacist mumbled something to the effect that ' these things happen' and refunded the cost of one script. Yesterday, I dropped off one from my dentist. Picking it up later, I was informed that the script was from a year ago and too old to be filled. After explaining it had been dropped off twenty minutes ago, they spent several minutes locating the prescription. The best part was when I was paying- after showing my Kaiser/ Medicare card, I was informed that I didn't show up in the Kaiser computer system, and that my card was invalid, meaning I had no health insurance! Arriving home, a very quick check on the Kaiser website indicated that indeed my card was valid and insurance was intact. Again, I love Safeway but will not use their pharmacy again. read more

I usually only use self checkout but had a lot of items today. Got in the only open full service checkout line and waited. The shopper at the register had a large order, a hand full of coupons and there was another person in line. I was going to wait but when the checkout woman couldn't get the register to work I moved to self check out, not fun with a large order. I was also looking for eggplant, they had some but I would have thrown them out last week. The store needs to be ready to open more than 1 register and have better produce. read more

I really love this Safeway because it's close to home, it's easy to get in and out quickly and it's quiet. I have experienced some disgruntled employees such as one lady at the meat counter who didn't seem to pleased to have to help package the meat for us. If you're working in a grocery store behind a counter where you have to serve people, you should probably be a little nicer and put on a smile even if you hate your job. Over all this store is actually pretty good, but this review focuses primarily on the pharmacy. I have been using this pharmacy for about 1 year now to fill a prescription that I have been taking for several years. Every month when I get it filled there seems to be a new issues. They can't seem keep my information on file and it has to be reentered on virtually every single visit. To top this off the customer service is awful!!! The most recent time while attempting to pick up my prescription I was told that they did not have my insurance information and they showed my prescription needed to be renewed. I had my empty bottle with me that showed the prescription renewal date of June 2015. The pharmacy tech spent about 5 minutes trying to rectify the issue before telling me to "come back tomorrow" because there were people waiting. When I came back, a big inconvenience, they were not able to show any record of my previous transactions (12 months worth) including the previous days fiasco. I will no longer use this store's pharmacy again. It is truly a shame because I like the store, but the pharmacy does not reflect the quality and commitment to customer service that is common with Safeway. read more
