TWICE in six months some moron somehow charged another customer's online order to me. They charged an order of 175 dollars, which overdrafted my account. King Soopers first didn't want to refund me then I had to tell them to, and they said it would be 2-5 days, I don't know why it wasn't immediate. I told them I'd overdraft FOUR TIMES and every cs rep said it was on the way. It's 6 days later no refund and 240$ in overdraft charges. I'm never giving them another dollar. As bad as Instacart is, you're so much better off using them. read more

It's wine o'clock somewhere. It's nice to be able to pick up a bottle of wine as well as groceries. Still not a fan of the manager Elena but the other associates here are friendly. The seafood and meat counter associates greet me and are helpful. So is the veggies section associate. We chat now and then. Parking can get crowded but w e manage. Had one of the worst experiences today at this location that I have ever had with any business. Place the pick up order through Instacart because I had a $30 off coupon when I showed up to get my order a high school kid that worked there came up to my window and told me that the Instacart shopper had walked off with the order and that they didn't have it. I proceeded to ask then what happens and he just looked at me completely dumbfounded, like a deer in the headlights and said I don't know. I then proceeded to go inside to talk to the manager and figure out what to do and he basically said he didn't know either and was the most unhelpful manager I have ever come across. I basically asked him if they had any way of keeping track of people walking out with orders and he said no so it seems like anybody can just walk in there. Fill the car and leave. It was then on me to call Instacart and figure out a solution didn't seem like anybody wanted to help me or even knew what to do or what to say, and I was completely amazed at the lack of help and understanding of the situation. This is specifically Boost delivery. I don't see another way to leave a review. My groceries were scheduled to be delivered between 7 and 8 a.m. At 6:30, I get a text saying I'm next on the route. At 8:30, I called to see where my groceries are. Oh, they're coming between 3 and 4 instead. This is the 2nd time in a month they've been substantially late. They don't give you a heads up, either. I also have ordered buy one get one free items and I've been charged full price. Check your receipts carefully! The first year I had Boost it was great. Now that I just renewed, it's been terrible. What's the point of ordering for pick up when you have literally never been able to fulfill even close to a full order for me. Every time I've used this service at least 1/4 of my items are out of stock and the "replacement" choices aren't even close to the items I selected. Went later in the evening to shop for essentials with family. They have a Starbucks in the store as well as sushi bar, deli meats and sections with cheese and meats . Also samples of cheeses which my family tried. I tried the Starbucks and although the customer service was less than stellar the drink was prepared right. As we walked In there was clothes on clearance so we took a few minutes to check out the goodies. Bought a long sleeve top and brother bought some pants. Also a small section for makeup; which I found some goodies on clearance as well. They have a few vegan options like milk they bought. Also almond and coconut milk for $2 and some change. Also a good selection of vegetables &. Fruits and my favorite kombacha!!We bought some valentines for kids classroom as well. read more

We placed an order for pickup that included different kinds of raw meat and produce. When we got home we discovered that almost everything they gave us was expired or nearly expired and going bad. We learned an important lesson - You can't trust this King Soopers store. If you let them pick out your meat and produce, they will use it as an opportunity to get rid of the stuff they'd otherwise have to throw out. If you must shop there, go inside and pick the stuff out yourself. Don't let them do it because they will take advantage of the opportunity to rip you off. read more

I have had my last fill of rudeness by the management at this king soopers. Sadly they are a mile and a half from my house, but convince doesn't make me want to go back. I froze my card and forgot so obviously it got declined and the lady manager came over and very rudely told me that it got declined and treated me like I was going to steal groceries. She also watched to make sure I put in my bag count which was zero and carefully watched so I didn't steal any .10 cent bags. Ridiculous! read more

I have lived here and shopped at this King Soopers for 10 years. It is a sh*thole - now....and it was not always this way. They did a 'remodel' last year after the new Super Size KS opened in the Meadows. Only it wasnt a remodel. They painted some walls and then changed over all the fixtures from the OLD KS (by walmart) that closed down. It is like walking back in time. All the fixtures (shelving, cold units and checkouts) are old and beat up. Instead of a REmodel, it was an UNmodel. The staff is horrible. Checkers are in crappy moods, majority of time I bag my own things (which NOW I prefer because this location does NOT train their staff and they have no clue how to bag groceries). Why am I bagging my own things when there are employees literally standing around doing nothing but socializing. The amount of times I am wandering looking for an open register - only to find them all unstaffed - yet staff are around - is ridiculous! The straw that broke my back and sent me here to yelp - was my last visit - the stoned bagger girl asked me if I would help her bag my groceries!!!! She was going super slow and just could not be bothered! She actually asked me in front of the checker and horrible manager (I think her name is Donna) "Can you please help me put this stuff in bags". Her getting paid for me to do her job!! At least she said 'please'....I guess. On top of that, there is no room for expansion in its location. There is massive growth (residents) on this side of Castle Rock and this King Soopers cannot handle this growth! So since they cannot expand the size of the store into the super super super super tiny parking lot (never enough parking)..........they just build the shelving HIGHER so that people who are not 6.5" cannot reach things placed so high. Oh, you say ask for help? LOL There is hardly any employees (even tall enough) to ask for help! And I would never dare ask an employee here for help because they ALL walk around with pissy attitudes. I am sure that has to do with the horrible management. I was going to send my teen to work here this summer - but not only would she not be trained properly, her sunny disposition would quickly turn into depression due to the abysmal environment. read more

Of all the King Soopers, this one seems to have the best service and will actually bag my stuff instead of rapid fire checking until all the delicate foods are entirely smushed. Do not shop here during the pandemic!!! The store does not enforce the state mandated mask policy and several people were in the store today without masks. When I lost my wallet in the watermelon bin, an employee in the produce department (Jim) went out of his way to help me find it. He moved every single watermelon out of 2 giant bins, looked under the crates and reloaded the watermelons. After over 30 mins of searching, he found my wallet and saved the day!! The Click List employees are awesome!! I have been a Click List for the past year due to the fact that I am disabled. I normally arrive at the time I'm given when I place my orders and even when the Click List employees are excruciatingly busy, they have ALWAYS had my orders out to me on time. They are very courteous, always on time, and when I try to give them a tip, they will not accept my tips. On February 10, 2020 when the snow was pretty bad, roadways, interstates, and frontage roads were getting packed with snow, my driveway has a very steep incline, and it is really easy to get stuck on the incline when there is a little snow on it. Being disabled, I cannot afford to get stuck on the incline. When the snow started, I got extremely worried about getting stuck on the incline. I called the Click List Crew and asked them if by chance they could get my groceries an hour earlier than I was supposed to be there. That was at 3:00 pm when I called the crew, and they said, " They would do their best, because of my situation. " It was a dire emergency given the circumstances. I called the crew back around 4pm, and they were getting my order. It takes me a good 35 to 45 minute drive from my home to the store, and I figured the crew would be done getting everything I needed. When I arrived, they were done and got my order right out to me as quickly as they could. I was one hour early. I picked up my Click List close to 5pm instead of 6pm. I cannot thank the Click List Crew enough. They were great and truly worked with me yesterday. In my opinion, every single employee in the Click List Crew, deserves huge raises!! The crew really saved me, because if I had gone to get my groceries one hour later, I truly think I would have been stuck trying to get up the incline in my driveway. Furthermore, I-25 South was getting bad too. Due to the construction, there are areas on I- 25 North & I-25 South that have black ice. No one got above 35mph. I don't even know if I-25 stayed open past 5:30pm yesterday evening. That's truly how bad the interstate was when I was coming back home. I really feel your Click List Crew saved me by getting my order out to me an hour early. Please let the crew know how wonderful they are even in bad snowing conditions as it was yesterday evening. I hope everyone in the Click List Crew are all doing well. I do tend to worry about them getting sick walking from the heat into the icy cold outdoors. Please tell them to take a lot of Vitamins B6, B12, C, D, and E. Zinc also helps prevent everyone from getting sick. You have a terrific crew on your Click List Department. If they were my crew, I would spoil them by giving them a surprise free lunch or dinner. They truly do earn their paychecks and free lunches, and/or dinners. Terrible customer service. I purchased baby formula on 9/3. My baby did not like the formula as he has a sensitive stomach. I went back to the store 2 days later and asked for a return because of this. I had my receipt and the credit card I paid with. The manager declined to return this. Makes zero sense cause any other place would return something like this especially when I'm returning it 2 days after I purchased it. I am going to make another complaint with the King Soopers that is located off of Kipling and Belleview. I have lived in this neighborhood since 1991 and the past 3 years this store has gone downhill in a bad way. Shelves are empty compared to the other King Soopers that are located near by. Why? I'm getting sick and tired of bagging my own groceries that the cashier sends my purchased items on down the conveyor belt and smashing my bread and my buns. I told her to hold up my bread was being smashed and I got a dirty look. Look, I'm helping you out, I am working as fast as I can to get my groceries the bag and out of your way. I have no cart to put my groceries in because there are no courtesy clerks to bag groceries and get me an empty cart so I can put in my sacks. As I am putting my groceries in the cart the cashier has scanned my bread and buns and it is getting smashed as it is placed on the cart, running up against my canned goods. I asked her to please wait, and I got a dirty look. I put my groceries in the back of my car and my loaf of bread was completely smashed so I had to go back in and exchanged it at the customer service station and I had to go back and get my own bread and exchange it for the smashed one. I spoke with the front end manager who assured me that each courtesy clerk handles 2 lanes. Yeah right, there was non to be found when I ran my King Soopers card in the machine and as the groceries were going down the belt. This is so inconsiderate. I will continue to post these notices until this is resolved. I don't have this problem when I go to other King Soopers locations. Why is that????? read more

This King Soopers is better than the one off Founders Pkwy. This one has a gas station, which is great for rewards. Star. The products have never been out when I've been there. Star. Store is nicely organized. Star. Staff are "sooper" friendly. Star. King Soopers is more expensive than two other grocery stores in Castle Rock. Also this is at the top of founders!? Great location but awful customer service. Made me feel like I was trying to steal when I had to do self check out this morning. I wanted to get my grocery shopping done after morning school drop off so it was about 720am. No check out lanes were open only self check out. So here I am with a cart full of groceries doing it myself which I don't mine. Only prob is there's really no room for a cart full of groceries in the bagging area. so I put some in my cart with the skip bagging option. Lady kept coming over and asking if I was ok. Couple of times it says I didn't bag so I asked if she wanted to check it she said no. Then at the end I had a large ribs that I put in my cart unbagged because there was no room in the bagged area. She came over and made me feel like I didn't pay for it. Which I did. If you don't want to worry about someone stealing in the self check out or make your customers feel uncomfortable. ( yes I know people do steal) I don't and I had no intention of that many groceries in self check you really should have someone at the check out counter. Yes I know it's their job to make sure it's getting checked. But it would have been no questions if a manned check out was an option. read more

You're taking away the convenience here... the other King Soopers by the meadows is much better and much more organized, but it's difficult for me to get there when I live closer to this one. The customer service here is abysmal. It's worth driving further, just so you don't run into the employees at this store. The customer service manager Kat, is a perfect example of what to expect-she has the attitude of a spoiled teenager and the customer service of a Walmart employee. Thanks to Kat I will actually be shopping at the Castle Rock Target and Walmart from now on-they at least CAN LOOK UP YOUR RECEIPT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD, so you don't need paper receipts #gogreen KAT WOULD NOT RETURN MY PRODUCT TO MY CREDIT CARD, refused to research and find my receipt in her store records, and then told me leave her store or take the gift card as a refund. The Store manager Chris Romero also would not return my items back to my credit card; I made the purchase three days prior. I don't see why they wouldn't accept my credit card as a receipt. Incredibly disappointed in the bakery. Pre-ordered cupcake cake 3 days prior to party. They had an inexperienced person taking orders (you could tell he was distracted); not only did he apparently not write order down correctly (Qty, flavor, type) I found out only because I called day to confirm order status and see if I could prepay. After reconfirming what was supposed to be completed (order was not large or detailed) they still were unable to complete order accurately. I personally will never use them again - not worth the headache. For those who do use make sure you call multiple times to confirm order details and plan to pick up several hours in advance so they have time to correct your order! read more

Today I was waiting to buy lottery tickets. The clerk at the service counter was on the phone. Another clerk was standing in back of the counter ignoring people in the line. I waited and waited and waited and finally started walking out - the clerk not on the phone said she would help me. I continued walking out. I will get her name and add it to this post. This is my neighborhood store, and I really like to shop here. The aisles are never too busy --perhaps because it's off the beaten path if you don't live in Castlewood Ranch or Founder's Village. The store is always well stocked and clean, the staff friendly, and there is rarely a wait for the self checkout. Bonus: They have gas pumps on site so when you earn that 10-cent discount, you don't have far to go to use it! read more

Just got home from a little grocery store nightmare. No checkers on the Check Out Lanes... But lots of employees standing around watching me look for an open check stand. FIRST RED FLAG. After 20 minutes (!) in the Self Check Out Lanes I finally made my exit. The reason for this delayed exit is that I had a couple items that needed Customer Service help. The King Sooper employees who were grouped up at the Customer Service Desk a moment ago and saw me disappointedly not finding a Check Out Lane open ...disappeared (I am not exaggerating) SECOND RED FLAG. My Self Check Out screen read 'someone has been called to help you' or something similar... So finally the poor lady who was assigned to be the Self Check Out helper was overloaded with several customers, like myself who wanted a Check Out lane, but got stuck with checking our own grocery items out. She was not to blame and she had a very good manner about her given the predicament of several customers who were verbal about their complaints that there were NO OPEN CHECK OUT LANES OPEN. 'Is this a local grocery store or Amazon?' and other comments like 'I can get my groceries at Safeway with better customer service.' THIRD RED FLAG. I told the Customer Service Representative, Karin (?) about the issue. She wanted to place blame on the lady who was responsible for helping us sorry jokers at the Self Check Out Lanes! I told her repeatedly, that it was not that lady's fault that she was inundated with several shoppers with difficult items to check out. Shoppers want an OPEN CHECK OUT LANE AT A LOCAL GROCERY STORE. By the way, the lady who was helping all of us jokers at the Self Check Out Lanes took the time to run something out to the parking lot...because I had forgotten something at the chaotic Self Check Out Lanes. I do not need the stress! I'm going to Safeway, where they always have someone staffing a lane. I'm not shopping King Soopers any more that I have to. I also shop early in the morning here and have the same problem... no checkers and plenty of employees. Seems like King Soopers has their priorities screwed up. This store is convenient to our home and has a gas station which is a big plus. In general, I find the store layout to be odd and the aisles a bit tight at times.....just barely wide enough for two carts to pass. The odd layout just means that people tend to be traveling every which way. There never seems to be a visit where I not almost running into someone because of the odd flow and oft tight aisles. Recently, they entirely repositioned their stock and changed the contents of a bunch of aisles. So, just when I had started to know which aisles were which, they changed them up. I hope this isn't a frequent occurrence! I find all of the staff to be very pleasant. Only rarely have I encountered the disinterested teenage cashier. Although, I do prefer the self checkout counters of which there are a plentiful 6 stations. It's a rare event you need to wait for one to open up. read more

Staff is pleasant, I have never walked past one employee who didn't smile, say hello and ask if I needed assistance finding anything. That alone wins for me. Sometimes the teens that are there can be surly, but they are dealing with hormones and that's a lot. Glad this is my local store. read more
