I have never gone to this location in the past 5 years without there being some homeless person sitting or sleeping right in the front. They aren't bothersome, but just a precaution for those who might be a little stiff about that. Especially at night! Workers are fast and efficient as expected at 711. Stock is regularly up-kept. Place always has napkins and the essentials for your drop in. We haven't had a slurpee in a long time, but I remember this location always have liquid spinning, rather than ready to serve frozen slushy. Lastly, get your receipt or at least pay close attention to the card reader. The cashier manually punches in the total since their register and card reader are separate. I was once charged $41 for a $14 transaction. Thankfully, I kept my receipt so when I noticed it on my card statement, I was able to go back and get it corrected. We needed a quick bite to eat, so we got a spam musubi, karaage chicken menehune pack, and fried rice loco moco from 7-Eleven. The spam musubi was good, simple and satisfying comfort food. However, the karaage chicken was a bit disappointing as it tasted more like chicken nuggets than karaage. The fried rice loco moco was not that satisfying either. The gravy was overly salty, and the patty was just average, nothing to write home about. 7-Elevens of Hawaii remind me of a lesser version of the konbinis in Japan (of course, not as much variety as Japan). But you still have a lot of options for grab and go, and some hot items. Whenever we go to the beach, we either grab a plate from Zippy's, or something from 7-Eleven - usually musubis and sushi rolls. Whenever we fly back home, you guessed it - musubi for the plane. My favorite is probably the garlic musubi. I wish we had this at home but instead, we just have hot dogs and taquitos. read more

This is a busy location off Fort Weaver Road next to the Hele Gas Station and Zippys. There are a lot of parking but the close parking fills up quickly. This is a convenience store where you can pick up random items; magazines, drinks, wide variety of of foods items from ready to eat and food items to microwave and etc. I love their musubi and hand rolls. My "go to" items are the spam katsu musubi, pork hash and imitation crab hand roll. They also sell bentos with adobo and pork guisantes and specialty items like Ubae ube tarts and etc. I recommend coming here for a quick bite. Its a 7-11. Nothing special, and the employees seem particularly upset that they have to be there. They only keep one register regularly working, so there is always a line of at minimum 5 people, and this line does not move fast, since the only employee checking people out is often irritated and rude to customers. Today I had a minor burn on my finger...need a little ice to cool it off! A NEW sign says "ice is not free"..."cost 0.39 for a cup of ice". OK not a great deal, but I can afford it. I begin putting ice in my baggie and a cashier that is stocking sandwiches, begins to scold me for taking ice without paying for it. I told her I planned to pay for it. The sign is sort of vague. This is usually my morning stop in my way to work. Well, this morning's stop was very different and I wish I didn't have to post this. The women in this 7/11 are prompt, nice, and accurate. The cleanliness has been a concern but I tried to be understanding because this is a high traffic store. This morning, I brought a cup of ice and a coffee. It started off rough because the debit/credit card machine wasn't working and there was no sign notifying customers. Almost every guest in line before me left in frustration because the clerks would "whisper" to individuals the card machine was down. I had cash, so no biggie... I leave with my cup of ice and notice a dark speck in the cup. Long story, short there was a frozen roach with an egg sac frozen in a single ice cube. I returned to 7:11 at 3:30 pm to inform the manager. I asked for the manager very discreetly. The female employee said she was "inside." I informed her of the roach and asked to speak with manager. I saw her signal the manager to inform her that I wanted to speak to her and she turned her back and walked away. Picked up some snacks again and at the register I noticed a flyer for pupu platters. I figured with Thanksgiving later on in the week it might come in handy. If I could give this 711 a 0 I would! Staff here is very unprofessional! There have been MANY of times I came to this store and the lines are extremely long WHILE there are like 2-3 other workers walking around the store. They do NOT know what customer service is. Today 11/15/2018 I went in to this store and purchased a few things, I paid with a $100 bill, it was an older bill but not fake at all. The young man grabs the bill, proceeds to examine it which is fine as I said it was old and I would have done the same. But after he examines the bill he marks the front with the marker which would turn black if the bill was fake. It did not turn black. Then he says something in Filipino to the other girl working and they start to giggle. It was embarrassing. The boy turns the bill over and continues to mark the bill WHICH HAS NOT TURNED BLACK and he continues to speak in Filipino. I understand the bill was old but you marked it about five times and it did not turn black which if I'm not mistaken MUST mean that it's REAL. Mind you the lines are long and the store is crowded. I was completely embarrassed! To take my money as if it was fake, speak in Filipino, and giggle in front of me is EXTREMELY RUDE.
