However, once they start taking customers, they alternate from customers from the safety inspection line and the other line (so technically I was the 6th customer, not 4th). I ended up being called for my turn for safety inspection at 8:30am. Be sure to have your paperwork ready to hand them (registration and proof of Hawaii insurance). The safety inspection itself took less than 10 minutes; price was $26.96. Sign days cash only, but when I had to pay the service guy asked "cash or card?" I assume they do take card payments then, but I didn't chance it and took cash with me anyway.

This Town Center of Mililani Hele location is one that many seem to frequent as I was running low on gas in thought that I'd stop by to fill up slightly while getting a much needed car wash only to be disappointed that it was closed as it wasn't even 4pm and you're able to purchase your car wash along with your gas at the pump which can be more priced friendly if you're pay by cash is a great option. Along with a convenient store where you're able to take advantage of that price friendly option you can find many snacks and other grab and go items easily as well which makes this pit stop to fill up on just about anything that moves. If you're paying cash regular is 4.35 (April 2024) and 4.45 for credit...sure Costco/Sams (Costco was 4.299) is cheaper but is a drive as well and will do that the next time if need to top it off as well to avoid the extra dollar charge that does add up and be more than what's offered here. They do have a convenience store as well making it a great quick stop without going to multiple locations especially after a long drive around the island and being that it's so close to the freeway you don't have to drive around and get lost in the many roads of Mililani. When the vehicle was first new, we filled with regular gas and it worked just fine but soon after ethanol gas became available is when that same vehicle broke down often and engine ran rough like it was grinding away it's short life! So not good! Why?! Because of the Ethanol gas! Ethanol gas contains that additive so is not pure gas! If not yet, the ethanol will eventually do bad things to you car's engine! :( Ethanol-free gas is more efficient and cleaner burning. It may seem like it costs a bit more but the gas mileage you will see will be well worth the price. It will make your car drive more miles = better gas mileage! CASH = DEBIT = 8¢/gal DISCOUNT -- If you pay cash or use your debit card as cash (you have to let them know you want to use your card as debit), you will receive a discount per gallon. When using your debit card, you will have to guess how much gas you'll need in terms of dollars, pay that amount, then go back into the kiosk for your change if you don't use the entire allotment: - With prices now about $3.05/gal, I usually get $50 to fill my four-door sedan tank. - If you pay cash or by debit, be sure to go back inside the kiosk to get a receipt for your exact purchase. The worker there told us we had to remove all of them and then one of the other workers was watching him peel them off while they had an expression on their faces like they were trying not to laugh. About $50+ worth of stickers trashed. After we left we asked a mechanic friend, and my cop uncle again if those stickers were illegal and they said no. Maybe educate your workers better? Although most of them seemed to be pretty young so I guess they don't know any better yet.

They seem pretty efficient but what annoyed me is that I did not realize is that one line is for re-inspect and the other is for the regular inspection. First time I've encountered two lines. The dude (younger of the two) who came to my window said, "you got your papers for re-inspect?" I said, um re-inspect? Then he tells me, "yeah you're in the wrong line." And just walked away. Mind you, I'm parked in the middle of the long line and had to get out of line and turn around in a tight spot. Ugh. Then I could only assume that the other line was for regular inspections. But there is no sign to indicate what the lines are for. Pretty rude on his part too. I get that they're busy but a little customer service goes a long way. Remember, we're patrons of your business.
