I appreciated that and was grateful for the quick turnaround. But tonight, when I rushed there to pick up insulin for my diabetic cat, the pharmacy was closed at 7 PM (according to a note taped to the pharmacy drive-they window) even though their online hours clearly say they're open until 9PM on one site, and until 10PM on a different site! No update, no warning, nothing. That mistake put me in a terrifying situation. This wasn't just an inconvenience; it could have become a medical emergency. Pharmacies have a responsibility to keep their hours accurate so people can rely on them in urgent moments. I truly hope this gets corrected so no one else goes through what I did.

Compounded medication does not come cheap and is rarely covered by insurance. Knowing this, I wanted a pharmacy that was close to me, so I could atleast pick-up in person to save on shipping costs. Previously, I was getting medication compounded at Northern, but found communication to be a little robotic. My doc sent a script to Professional Arts and I got a call an hour later that they've received it and were ready to fill once my card was on file. After wincing at the high (but comparable) price, I gave my card info and got a text immediately after that it was filled with the times and hours for pickup. Picking up was super quick and easy, with things packaged and labeled to the 9s. I believe curbside pick-up is an option, which is great because their parking lot is on the smaller side.

The staff told me I was a bit early and that there were a couple of people ahead of me. I saw three people standing around waiting to get their vaccines. In the meantime, more people started to arrive. The medical staff came and started administering the vaccine to at least 6 people. Then she started calling out names from her list to make sure they were there. She didn't call my name and asked the two people behind me for their names and appointment times. She checked them in for their 10:30 and 10:45 appointments. At that point, I asked her if she has my name in the list. She replied that my name was there but there were other people ahead of me. She proceeded to administer the vaccine to at least 3 more people, then called the person behind me with a 10:30 appointment. I then interrupted her and asked why she hadn't called me since I had an earlier appointment than the person she called, plus I had been standing there for about 40 minutes. She said my appointment was at 3 pm, which was ridiculous. Why would I come at 10 am for a 3 pm appointment? When I asked her why she had my appointment wrong, she just said her schedule was messed up. I didn't buy her explanation! She didn't even apologize. I was very disgusted by the lousy service I received. If I didn't say anything, I would be waiting there for hours.

If anything, they go above and beyond the call here on occasion. For example, they usually remember us. Not just, "Oh, here's your records" stuff, but walk in the door and (if it's the main pharmacists) they'll know what we're there for. That's something you don't get at your other places! Then there's the above-and-beyond you occasionally get. As a small pharmacy they're usually stocked, but occasionally might not have something. They'll gladly recommend some place that does (looking it up for you), or even on occasion they'll drive to the other pharmacy themselves, pick it up, and have it back at their location for you. Not to mention, they'll often have that done by the end of the day! So, if you're looking for a local pharmacy with great customer service, then I can't recommend them enough.
