The store is organized and I've found it easy to find stuff I need, but then more waiting for someone to be available at the front for checkout itself. Quite inefficient. I'll stick with CVS.

If you try to call them, they have one of the following responses: 1. They don't answer the phone 2. They put you on hold and never pick back up 3. They pick up the phone and hang up immediately 4. Patch you in with another customer who is also on hold (seriously!) 5. They pick up the phone (odds are 1 in 75) On the rare occasion they do pick up the phone, they are often rude. When I calling to find out why my prescription wasn't filled in a week, I was told I recently filled a prescription. When I explained that was a lower, less frequent dose and my doctor wanted me on a much higher dose, I was told, "Well maybe you should call back when you run out then." I relied, "Maybe I'll just take my business somewhere else then." He replied, "Maybe you should" and hung up on me. When I called and (eventually) got a different person to answer, I asked for the manager. She was out and wouldn't be back until the next day. This was a Thursday at 3 pm. My wife has two prescriptions she's been waiting on for six days. When she called, someone answered after 10 minutes of the phone ringing, placed on hold, and after 45 minutes, my wife hung up. Honestly, avoid this place like the plague, especially if you need prescriptions.

Also looked on their app and website for pharmacy hours and didn't see a lunch time. I go over and they close right when I walked up. I told them they really need to post the lunch time on the app and website, which the Pharmacist, in a smart alec way told me it was there on the sites. I left the pharmacy ticked off, but wanted to double check the sites and it took a while, but I found the lunch time in small gray print, which is easily missed even with my glasses on. She could have been nice about it, but I imagine patrons come in all the time having the same issue. As soon as I do not have to use CVS pharmacy, I'll go anywhere else.

Arrived 20 minutes early as suggested for a 12:40 appointment. Check in was pretty easy. Just had to put in the name and date of birth on a tablet. The only issue was the wait. There was a lady with her son there when we arrived. She had been waiting since 12:00 for her 12:20 appointment. The person working the minute clinic didn't come out to get them until 12:36 so needless to say we ended up waiting much later than 12:40z

As I walked to the line I saw two registers and didn't know exactly where I needed to wait in line so I asked another customer. I didn't feel like our conversation was loud at all, but all of a sudden an employee came from the back and up to the counter and yelled "the sign says the line starts here". There was no reason for her to yell like that especially since it was dead silent and by no means was I causing any problems at all. She embarrassed me for no reason, especially since I was already not feeling well, which their staff might consider for some of the customers. I don't think anybody should have the right to make people feel that way. I also don't think it was right for the other staff members not to correct her . I am extremely disappointed in her unprofessionalism.

He was very condescending to me when he asked if I would rather pay the normal price or $20 as if I already knew the price without being told it. He could have nicely just stated that the coupon wouldn't save me any money because my insurance covered enough of the price, but instead he had to have an attitude with me and treat me like I'm dumb which I did not appreciate. Not everyone knows everything you do about your job and there's no reason to treat customers as if they're stupid for not knowing something. It was extremely unprofessional and could have been handled completely differently.

Safeway sent me a letter telling me I needed to come in for the second shingles vaccine. No mention of restricted times. I work full time. I went in this afternoon to get the shot. Apparently they are incapable of giving different types of shots. I can only come in on Sunday or Monday afternoon because the numerous employees (with no patients) couldn't give me the shot. Then they said I could wait "a year". Definitely not what the letter or CDC protocols say. I will be having my prescription transferred to Walgreens. If the Safeway pharmacy staff is this inept I don't trust them with my health. Walgreens is across the street. A better choice.
