No update, no warning, nothing. That mistake put me in a terrifying situation. This wasn't just an inconvenience; it could have become a medical emergency. Pharmacies have a responsibility to keep their hours accurate so people can rely on them in urgent moments. I truly hope this gets corrected so no one else goes through what I did.

I was gonna get a few other items but noticed they were out of stock. It was a quick trip I would give you the average rating. I noticed a few of the shelves were not stopped so they probably have not gotten their shipment in for the weekend. If I needed to go here I would again.

And the Woodbridge one is simply too out of the way. I happen to be taking a business meeting in MD, and I was so happy to see a Wegmans close by! Always my go to!

I was scared, stressed, and completely out of insulin after another Walgreens closed hours earlier than advertised. Ian spoke to me with such kindness and steadiness. He said, "Miss Walton, let me see if I can help you out," and those words alone calmed me. Then he came back with, "Great news... we've got several extra Lantus pens in inventory." He didn't stop there. He told me he'd try to push it through, and when he returned with, "Great news, Ms. Walton! I was able to push it through for you! We've got you covered," I genuinely felt the weight lift off my chest. People like Ian make all the difference in the world. He turned a crisis into relief with compassion, competence, and heart. I am so grateful.

If anything, they go above and beyond the call here on occasion. For example, they usually remember us. Not just, "Oh, here's your records" stuff, but walk in the door and (if it's the main pharmacists) they'll know what we're there for. That's something you don't get at your other places! Then there's the above-and-beyond you occasionally get. As a small pharmacy they're usually stocked, but occasionally might not have something. They'll gladly recommend some place that does (looking it up for you), or even on occasion they'll drive to the other pharmacy themselves, pick it up, and have it back at their location for you. Not to mention, they'll often have that done by the end of the day! So, if you're looking for a local pharmacy with great customer service, then I can't recommend them enough.

If you try to call them, they have one of the following responses: 1. They don't answer the phone 2. They put you on hold and never pick back up 3. They pick up the phone and hang up immediately 4. Patch you in with another customer who is also on hold (seriously!) 5. They pick up the phone (odds are 1 in 75) On the rare occasion they do pick up the phone, they are often rude. When I calling to find out why my prescription wasn't filled in a week, I was told I recently filled a prescription. When I explained that was a lower, less frequent dose and my doctor wanted me on a much higher dose, I was told, "Well maybe you should call back when you run out then." I relied, "Maybe I'll just take my business somewhere else then." He replied, "Maybe you should" and hung up on me. When I called and (eventually) got a different person to answer, I asked for the manager. She was out and wouldn't be back until the next day. This was a Thursday at 3 pm. My wife has two prescriptions she's been waiting on for six days. When she called, someone answered after 10 minutes of the phone ringing, placed on hold, and after 45 minutes, my wife hung up. Honestly, avoid this place like the plague, especially if you need prescriptions.

It's a basic CVS situation. I only go into those stores when I need a quick beverage. I DO use a CVS pharmacy, but even then we only use the drive-thru. Going inside always seems like such a hassle. Pharmacy is a mess with few people understand how to find faxed or refill Rxs or understanding the…read morecode for an authorized Rx by the insurance company. Their app is often wrong with the actual status of the progression through a Tx received through the steps to being filled. Their app telephone wait times are long and it's not uncommon to be hung up on without time to say anything- they pick up and hang up immediately or you're on hold and get disconnected and they sigh and puff when you ask to please check on an RX that's status on the app goes back and forth or you want to make sure your Rxs are filled ( many times they will say filled in the app or by text but they are not when you arrive. And they don't all wets lab coats with names- even the pharmacists don't show their badges clearly and several times the staff have been in sweats with stains on them and no id in sight- heck you or I could walk behind the counter and no one would know that we don't belong there. Walgreens uses a pharmacy wide computer system so unless you rarely need medication and it's a common antibiotic I would choose a different location and get a consult first with the head pharmacist for that store.
