They really care. That was my impression before I became a patient and it's been my experience since I've become one. Support a local business, you'll get great service and have a wonderful experience. I actually can't say enough about these folks.

On May 8, I contacted Pucci Pharmacy to ask whether I could bring in expired or unused prescription…read moremedications for proper disposal. I was told over the phone that it was acceptable to do so. I have been a customer of Pucci Pharmacy for over a year and have had my compounded hormone creams filled there through my healthcare provider. Although I live in the Natomas area and the pharmacy is not close to my home, I have continued using Pucci Pharmacy because I had never experienced any problems before this incident. On May 8, I went to the pharmacy with a bag containing old prescription medications for disposal. After waiting in line, I placed the bag on the counter and explained that I was there to dispose of the medications. The employee assisting me responded that she did not think they could accept them. A younger employee went to the back to ask someone for clarification. During this interaction, I became increasingly uncomfortable. I was already feeling ill because my stomach was upset and I urgently needed to use the restroom. In addition, the employee's tone made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone on the autism spectrum, situations involving confusion, confrontation, or inconsistent communication can be especially overwhelming. The employee then asked whether I knew when my garbage service collected my trash and suggested that I remove the prescription labels and dispose of the medications myself. At that point, I said, "I'm sorry, I need to leave." As I walked away, I heard someone yell, "You can't leave this here." A male staff member then called me. He seemed frustrated from the beginning of the conversation. I explained that I had only brought the medications because I had been told over the phone that it was acceptable and that the pharmacy needed better communication between staff so customers would receive consistent information. Rather than trying to understand my concerns, the conversation became argumentative. I told him I was becoming frustrated because I felt I was being treated as though I had done something wrong, despite following the instructions I had been given. I asked what we could do to resolve the situation. He responded, "I'm not going to take this," and then hung up on me. Afterward, I called back and spoke with a manager. She was kind, understanding, and professional. I explained that the entire experience had been triggering for me because I am on the autism spectrum and that I believed the pharmacy needed better communication and greater sensitivity when interacting with customers, especially those with disabilities. The manager apologized, and I believed the matter had been resolved. However, on June 30, when I called Pucci Pharmacy regarding my prescriptions, I was placed on hold for an extended period before speaking with someone who identified himself as the owner. He informed me that, because of my previous visit, the pharmacy had decided they would no longer fill my prescriptions. I asked why this decision had been made, especially since I believed my conversation with the manager had ended on good terms and I had been a loyal customer for over a year. The owner stated that he had watched the security video and claimed that the staff had tried to help me, but that I simply walked out and left my "trash." I explained that I did not leave trash. I had brought old prescription medications because I had been told by the pharmacy that I could do so. Yes, I left the pharmacy because I felt overwhelmed, but I also stated that I was leaving. I did not intend to abandon anything improperly, nor was I trying to create a problem. Unfortunately, the conversation with the owner also became argumentative. I told him that I intended to file a complaint because I believed I was being treated unfairly as a person with a disability. He responded that the decision had nothing to do with my disability. I am deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled. What began as a misunderstanding caused by inconsistent information from the pharmacy ultimately resulted in me being refused service after more than a year as a customer. I believe the situation could have been resolved through respectful communication rather than confrontation. I also believe businesses serving the public should ensure their staff receive training on effective communication and appropriate interactions with individuals who have disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

HA! Reasons why I love CVS and this one in particular, is the fact that parking is never a struggle and the employees are friendly and helpful. Most of the time, things are in stock and I don't have trouble finding what I want, need, or want to think about buying. SIGN UP FOR THE EXTRABUCKS! The coupons, ExtraBucks, and 2% cashback makes it so fun. There was once a time where I couponed SO HARD that the balance went to $0.00! I love to challenge myself to see how much LESS I can pay, for an item or two, compared to big retailers. I shop for makeup here. I've been coming to this CVS for so long that I remember when they didn't have ELF and now ELF makeup is back! The brand I am most loyal to here is Wet N Wild. I love the self-checkout feature. If there's ever an error or I need help, the employees are timely and communicative. One time, I had this coupon that was not working and the manager went above and beyond to ensure that the coupon worked for me! I will never talk bad about this place, ever. The pharmacy can get busy at times but I've never had a hard time with the staff. CVS is a retail store so there's always stuff to be put out on display; the workers do their best and I appreciate their efforts and work. When Christmas is over, their sales are worth checking out so you can load up on gift bags, gift card holders, and wrapping paper at half the price or cheaper. All in all, this CVS is my favorite. I walk in with a coupon and leave knowing I got a good deal on my purchase.

What is the purpose of advertising a pharmacy if it isn't staffed? Why would someone send a message claiming a prescription was ready when they still had more than an hour of work left to do to fill it? Yesterday, the long haired blonde pharmacist, when bagging my medications, said with an oddly unpleasant tone "see you tomorrow". I asked her if I had a medication that would be ready. She responded in a now rather sarcastic tone, "no, but I see you here everyday". That was very rude and disheartening and I didn't know how to respond. This type of "medication shaming" in regards to frequency can negatively affect someone who is struggling with medical conditions and would rather not be taking medications to begin with. It did not feel like a friendly comment like "have a nice day". It was way too personal like I'm being tracked or judged. I do not feel like going to this location if these types of unprofessional comments will be the norm from this pharmacist lady. Next thing you know she'll start commenting on my medical conditions. Sensitivity training should result, in the event she encounters a customer that is ashamed of being sick or suffering from depression, or other mental health issue that affects self esteem.

It was the end of the day during the after work rush. Normally, I wouldn't give burnt out staff a bad review but clear communication should be a basic practice of any business. I take my grandmother to the pharmacy when her meds are ready. One prescription is refrigerated and she doesn't trust a mail delivery. So we go in person when the pharmacy calls to say it's ready. She got the call stating both prescriptions would be ready by 6pm the following day. We went when the pharmacist said they would be ready. They were not ready. A different pharmacist said he could get it ready. He apologizd it wasn't ready as promised. Upsetting but understandable. He called us up an hour and half later when he had one ready. The second was not in the building. It needed to be ordered. That was irritating enough but it took an hour and a half wait for them to tell us that. We could have left and came back when they were both ready rather than making my grandmother wait. We came back two days later for the second prescription. We called first to ensure it was ready. Lesson: Call ahead and ask the pharmacist to put eyes on the finished prescription. Don't trust their computer.

The managing pharmacist is hit or miss, but they hired a new male pharmacist who is incredibly rude. And when I came to pick up the meds for my parents, they shorted me a med. The male pharmacist tried to blame me for not checking on the number of meds. Oh it's my fault y'all don't know how to do your jobs. My bad, this fool thinks it's my job to dictate to him exactly what the screen says. I am sorry you can't read. How did you get your job?? I drive back over for the second time in the same day and another pharmacy tech told me she couldn't find my dad's records. I was shouting at her the information because she apparently couldn't hear me through the plexiglass. Suddenly, she was able to find it, but she went to the back of the pharmacy for whatever reason. Are your computers broken, or your employees? Never got an apology. Check your accounts to make sure they don't send you on a wild goose chase twice. They don't care about your time, and definitely will try and take shortcuts.

As I made the books online and didn't even have to go into the store. They have deals through out the year which is nice. They recently had a poster size print for around $1.99. That was a steal.
