But what I don't get is that this same person individual walked into Aldi's with the intent of buying the entire store out of merchandise. Her cart was stacked and loaded a foot over the rim of the shopping cart. She brought along a calculator to add the merchandise up as it was being rung up by the cashier. Problem is, the cashier was much more efficient and had everything calculated as she was barely into her grocery count. Meanwhile, the line was forming and it grew 10-12 deep as she debated the clerk. I had enough and sprang into another line after waiting 15 minutes minimum. Aldi does not encourage this type of shopping. They are efficient and have very good cashiers who will ring up your groceries quickly. I breezed through the other line, bagged my groceries and was heading out the door when this same woman had her check book out with the cashier going through her bags as she debated him over something. My advice to her, ring up your damn groceries on your calculator as you place them in the basket and not at checkout.

Cocky & Careless At…read moreabout 1:24 PM today, I encountered a cashier named Jonathan. (He was a Black man with glasses.) He asked me if I was checking out separate orders. I replied by saying yes. The man was efficient at scanning the items of the first order. However, as soon as the items of the second order were scanned, he carelessly proceeded to scan the items of the third and final order. Examining this, I quickly told the cashier that I needed to pay for the second order before checking out the third. Instead of apologizng and admitting fault, Jonathan scolded me for not physically separating the orders, which was untrue. P.S.: The cashier damaged one of the items of the second order.

My experience this evening at the Redner's location in Joppa, MD was extremely disappointing…read more First, I found it inappropriate for management to address an employee in front of a customer. Any corrective conversation should be handled privately and respectfully. When I later expressed my concern regarding this behavior to the Store Director, Vikki Eiswert, I was told to leave the store after stating that I felt her approach toward the employee was rude. Rather than engaging in a professional discussion, she stated she would not argue, removed items from my hands, and proceeded to contact law enforcement. At no point was I aggressive or causing a disturbance; the only issue was that I voiced my concern about her conduct. I will not be shopping at this location again, and I intend to ensure that this experience is brought to the attention of the appropriate parties. No one--whether a manager or a store associate--should be spoken to in a belittling or disrespectful manner. The employee involved was not at fault, and being in a leadership position does not justify speaking to employees in an unprofessional way. While being asked to leave the store is not my primary concern, I will continue to share my experience until it reaches the appropriate level of review.

I got the wrong item by mistake. The worker acted a little annoyed when I asked for help. she said she would watch my cart while I went back to get the item. I was surprised she didn't offer to start checking out my items. When I returned she was just chatting away with a coworker about plans outside of work. I do shop here frequently but I must say the customer service at the check out is really lacking. I am very satisfied with customer service in other parts of the store.
