I shopped here a lot...it's super close to my house. Don't go after 7pm - they never have enough staff and the lines are ridiculous. Organic fruits and veggies in quantity. I especially like the REAL, certified meat department for my custom cuts. I don't have the time or planning to shop at Winco most of the time. If I am shopping for produce, meat or milk Safeway is a must. Very courteous workers 90% of the time. We all have our bad days. As for the workers smoking outside more than 25' from the door with a blocked off area for cart return, get over yourselves people. If it bothers you that much park on the southern end and use that entrance. They are obeying the law and it is probably the designated area for them to do so. read more

As stated was shopping at Safeway on Buckley & Mississippi in Aurora, CO. It was late night and wanted fresh strawberries. While shopping the stocker indicated I should not handle the strawberries. I informed the stocker, the strawberries were not fresh. There were more rotten packages of strawberries than reasonable strawberries to purchase. Therefore I had to pick through the batches in order to get a decent package for purchase. He indicated the produce Mgr was Scott. I told the stocker if fresh produce was out for purchase, I wouldn't have to handle the strawberries. Therefore ensure a good customer experience by making sure the produce is at its best. read more

Ok, so I do work for a competitor. I have to state that outright. However, this is the store that is closest to my house, literally across the street, so we are in here a few times a day. I feel that most of the employees don't like their jobs. It's always messy, like someone needs to face the shelves. However, the pharmacy staff is super friendly, and the meat is good quality at a decent price. I wish they'd have more cashiers staffed; once I was there and they had to call employees from the produce department to cone check, because there was no one else available. read more

This store disappoints me every time!! I keep coming back because I love Safeway and hope to have a different experience the next time. But it is always terrible. The floral department went above and beyond for my daughter's wedding. When they learned 3 days before the wedding that the distributor from whom they had ordered the flowers had closed their doors, they called around until they were able to secure all but one of the flowers from other sources. The wedding was the day before Mother's Day, so this was not an easy task. The flowers arrived on time and were beautiful. A fantastic job and much appreciated. read more

It is the most convenient place for me to shop because it is close to my home, however in the time it takes to get checked out, it would be quicker to drive to Pasco and back. Generally I have no issues with this store but yesterday when I bought some Canadian bacon and got home and looked at the expiration date, it was 9 days expired. Gross! When I returned it, I had to have a checker call for a manger twice because the manager was too busy beautifying the Easter display to come help customers. When I brought it to her attention there was no "I'm sorry" and no "let us make that up to you". All I got was "well, go get another one, or would you like a refund?". Went back and got another one (you'd think the manager would send someone to get it) and on my way back to the counter the manager met me half way to ask if she had any others expired. How is it my job to rotate your product??? When I told her no, she said "ok, go ahead and go then". What? Glad I wasn't intending on getting anything else since she couldn't seem to take 2 minutes out of her so busy day to address customer needs. read more

While ago, when i still new in this area, im mostly do grocery here, but then once upon a time i get home and check my stuffs and the receipt there is 1 item that i dont even bought charge me about $3 something. We recently moved to a wonderful neighborhood close by this Safeway location. Perhaps my fiancé and I have been spoiled by the outstanding customer service their competitor, Albertsons, provides but we are extremely disappointed in this Safeway! Trying to find a store employee to help you find anything is like pulling teeth (I've literally had numerous employees look straight at me and before I could ask a question, they walk away!) I have major medical issues and recently had a run in with a cashier at this store. I had placed a heavy bag of charcoal briquettes in the seat of a shopping cart and left it there for her to scan. I asked her if she could leave it there so I would be able to pick it up and place in my car. She grabbed the bag, scanned it and proceeded to drop it into the main cart with a simple, "Oh well." I was shocked! I leaned in closely to explain to her that I was not just lazy as I lifted my shirt sleeve to show her my medical port and that there was a REASON I had asked her to do it, to which her reply was, "I don't judge people." Unbelievable! Never once was I asked if I needed help out with my groceries but a nice man who was a CUSTOMER helped me unload it after hearing our conversation. At the height of the busiest part of the day (3 - 7 pm) expect only two or three available cashiers that seem to move slower than I do. Do NOT expect good customer service as they all treat you like you are inconveniencing them or are so unfamiliar with what they carry they will simply say they don't know as it's not their department and walk away. We travel the extra ten minutes and drive across town to Albertsons almost daily. Their service is worth it! read more
