This store is amazing!!! We were in Richland and I was so impressed I visited twice. Their selection of specialty foods is outstanding and they sell my favorite treat there, chocolate covered Bing cherries by the pound. We bought a large selection of olive oils and vinegars which have been spectacular. Plus, their selection of chocolates was impressive. The chocolate truffles we bought were were all excellent. The staff was super helpful, too. I will not drive past the Mercantile without stopping, period. read more

On 10/9/24, I visited the Richland, Washington location of Country Mercantile. While it's smaller than the original location in Pasco, it's still pretty big. I don't normally travel to Washington via this route, so wasn't aware that it is is close to a freeway exit. When I saw the signage, I knew I had a stop. My goal was just to make a quick visit, but I was there for approximately 3 hours. Here are photos of some of the items I saw, several of which I purchased. The best part of my visit was getting to try the remarkable Dubai Chocolate Bar, which is made in house by Randi, Andy, and Areli. Hands-down, this is the best version of this specialty chocolate bar that you will find anywhere. It's worth visiting the store for this item alone. We got a few sandwiches and were quite surprised that there wasn't much to them (especially meat) given the price. *I will add that the fresh bread was pretty amazing. Yes come here if you want unique sauces salad dressing, olive oils and spreads. They have many great things plus amazing fresh salsas , and chips to go. The one thing I would say is customer service is actually lacking. It's a bunch of highschoolers that don't really care about making sure the customer is attended to first. Got lucky and went on a late Monday afternoon and that place to myself. I love the first step walking inside because it always smells so good. I go straight for a tray of their cowboy burritos to enjoy throughout the week. Then grab some fresh made salsa and tortilla chips. This trip I decided to get a sandwich from the deli, I ordered the roast beef dip and added horseradish. I love just wandering around this place and getting random stuff to try. read more

I just ate at the west richland. Country mercantile with my granddaughter and my hubby. I had a Reuben with a gluten free bun. It was delicious. Their bf buns are soft And yummy. One of the best sandwiches I've had there. My hubby had the pastrami sandwich w focacia bread. He said it was fantastic and the bread was amazing. My gdaughter has the French dip which she loved as well. We'll go back over and over! Top notch! read more

This store is lovely and a nice unique touch to an area with a lot of chain stores! The store is well stocked and full of interesting foods and sweets to try and an especially good place for finding a gourmet gift for someone. They have an oil and vinegar station! The reason for only 3 stars is that the customer service was very much lacking. There were many workers on the floor but no one greets you or asks you if you need help, they mostly spoke to one another and joked around. The store has a wide selection of candy made on site. I've visited three times, each time no one was at the counter to get fudge, but several woman were mopping the floor in the kitchen area and after several minutes one of them came over to serve me. I also bought some chocolate cashew goodies from the self service cabinet - $22.95 per pound and so hard it was tough to get my teeth through. Probably won't stop there again. read more

I was looking for the farmers market building and I looked up the name and yelp took me to the MAIN business about 10 miles out of my way but it was worth the trip. We stopped at this store and can't believe all the Amazing home made goodies. We bought some pumpkin scone mix. So so good. Love it. Then homemade hand dipped chocolate covered Oreos with sprinkles on top. The best. Yum. Clean beautiful gourmet shop with all different kinds of gourmet food sauces and treats. Although this store looks huge from the outside, it is a good scale inside. The staff is friendly and quick to offer samples. The deli sandwiches are large and fresh, and made quickly. My favorite is the ice cream and Gelato though, although the chocolates are a close second. A single scoop is more than enough to make me super happy. read more

Fun little place to visit. But it might be best to eat elsewhere first. My wife had the Japanese Salad with grilled chicken. Sadly the chicken was either grilled at the factory or several days prior. Lots of fat on it, making the salad less than pleasurable. I just had a hot dog, but even that was only adequate. My "cheese and jalapeño" dog was a dog flavored (I guess) with same. No sign of cheese or jalapeño... But while the prices are high, the foods, candies, etc., are quite good. And the ice cream is excellent! We may well be back. I'd recommend checking it out. This place is spectacular. If you like pickled vegetables and enjoy hand crafting a Bloody Mary, this place will tickle your tastebuds. We normally shop at the Pasco one because it is more convenient for us but we have been here a few times to check it out, while it is not as large as the Pasco one and doesn't have the chocolate factory it is so beautiful and so much nicer because it is new and they have a bread bakery so the whole place smells amazing! They have the best farm fresh products from local farms as well as lots of sauces, jams, spices, It is all so amazing and fresh. There are some take home meals and fresh salsa's that are to die for make sure you try the Mad Maxx it is our favorite and grab a bag of the fresh tortilla chips!! Since they are always sampling something new every time we visit we always find new things we love! They also have a cute gift shop that is always fun to browse through and find the occasional treasure, there is also a deli with yummy sandwiches and ice cream, and I think they do coffee as well. Whether you're in the mood for good fresh food, homemade bread,something sweet, or that perfect gift. This place has it! I'm saddened to see only 3.5 stars when this place is a gem. Please note that there is a Pasco location (the original) that is just as fantastic. First the sandwiches are great! During summer months we are here at least every other weekend. Sandwiches are priced well and are a mouthful. My kids often share the meatball sub and a bag a chips and it feeds them just fine. They also have hot food here like tamales. While you're waiting for your food there is a tasting area where you can try several dips and salsas. Another station has jelly's, pickled food, and apple cider for tasting. I've never been disappointed. This place is packed to the gills with specialty foods. And one of those is their bread. (Which by the way also has a tasting section). I believe the breads are like 3 for $10 or some other great deal that you can't pass. After you're done eating I highly recommend their ice cream so save some room. If ice creams not your thing then try some of their confections. It's fun to pick out a few to take home. But enough about the food. This place has nice stuff for gifting and/or home decor. Most of it country themed but it's all very classy tasteful stuff. Lastly, I want to shout out to all the smiling friendly young kids working there. I went here on the first day it opened (6/10/15) and it was fantastic. All of the items at the original Pasco location plus a bakery. The staff was extra friendly and the new building is beautiful. Since this location is closer to me than the Pasco one (7 minute drive vs. 25 minute drive), I'm sure I'll be visiting a ton in the future. read more
