This restaurant usually has waiting time so plan ahead a little. They have the best dal makhani I have eaten outside India. I don't think even Bay Area has any restaurant that's close to it. The seating inside is limited. We tried the masala papad, malai kofta, dal makhani, butter and garlic naan. The masala papad was not good, they put so much red chili powder in the onion tomato mix that we were barely able to eat it( way too spicy!!!), plus it wasn't really served like you get it usually in India. Dal makhani was the best in terms of taste and flavor. It literally tasted like we were sitting in Delhi eating out in a restaurant. Malai kofta gravy was on the sweeter side but good in taste. The naans were good too. There is usually a wait before your order comes but service is good. The ambiance is casual. read more

I would give it 10 stars if I could! Amazing food - hands down the best Indian food I've had. The naan bread is thinner and crispier than average but the flavor was amazing and paired really well with the khorma lamb. Mild was a tad too spicy for me but you bet we still finished everything! 10/10 read more

This food was awesome!! I had the butter chicken which had so much flavor and the chicken was perfectly juicy and a good amount in there. My friends (one being gluten free) got the chicken saag and chicken tikka mashed and they both really liked theirs as well! The rosemary naan was good die for as it was stretchy and fresh, same for the yummy coconut rice!! definitely recommend and a great place for gluten free people!! read more

Delicious Gulab Jamun was the best, SO fresh Mango lassi was excellent Malai kofta was delicious Tandoori chicken was the best I've had. Butter paneer tikka was the only thing I wouldn't get - paneer was tender and well marinaded but the sauce was meh. read more

We have been there only once before & loved the food. So I made reservations for Christmas. There was a special chef menu & we were hesitant bc we are picky. But chef came by & answered any questions we had & convinced us! We thanked him repeatedly after we were done bc EVERY course was AMAZING! Lol, we felt a lil sick after cuz we ate TOO much! We got a table right near the door so we got some airflow (interior tables might have felt much hotter on the warm evening we were there). I liked that we got opinions when asked and not the usual PC responses. When we asked whether a dish is good or not, it's not often you hear - "I don't like that dish. This one is better". The food was very good (even by our Bay Area standards). The paneer lababdar was exceptional. A wonderful combination of spices with paneer, vegetables and methi. The naans were soft/great as well. The bhindi masala and malai kofta were good too though paled in comparison with the Paneer dish. The service was prompt, clean and opinionated (as expressed earlier). read more

Very tasty food, perfect seasoning for everything. My daughter had butter chicken which is a safer choice for everyone who don't know what Indian food was. It was very sumptuous.. I had fish moilee since I want a lighter lunch and it was perfection, no fishy taste which means the fish are fresh. Service is excellent and quick. We sat outside for a perfect view of Banff area. They were a little skeptical at first because rain comes and goes but the whole time we were there, weather cooperated and we enjoyed our lunch/dinner out. I'm sure we invited people to come in since they saw how we enjoyed our food. No pics were taken because we were hungry and forget to take pics. We stopped in this location when we saw it while walking down the street. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The butter chicken, rice, and naan were delicious and a good price. One hiccup that we encountered here was no silverware with my leftovers, which made it very difficult to finish later in the hotel. We were very disappointed with dinner at this place. We were really looking forward to having a good dinner to celebrate the occasion, but this restaurant let us down. There were flies flying around. The service was not good either. Our drinks didn't come even after we reminded them. No one came to check on us until we finished our dinner. Surprisingly, some tables got extra attention, but no one checked on us. On top of this food taste was average. We had our dinner here on our trip to Banff. Restaurant is at central location and hence, easily accessible if you're in main town. There might be a long 25-30 minute waiting depending on the time you visit. We had to wait for 30 mins during dinner time but during the day when we had a quick takeout, it was pretty empty. The food is class-apart. They were quick to take order even when we were waiting outside so we don't have to wait long once inside. We tried Panner Lababdar and Dal Tadka along with breads. Both of those were super delectable and flavoursome. Paneer was very soft and the gravy was top-notch. Dal Tadka gave homely feel with thin consistency than usual restaurant's thick versions. The service however could be better. We ordered onion salad along with main food but it didn't arrive until we were halfway through the meal. So most of it got wasted. And even before us asking for bill. while we were still having our food, they presented the bill so we could vacate sooner. Highly recommended for food, service could be better.
