Was so excited to find this Indian ice cream shop! They had all different kinds of flavors and also serve food! We got the Classic cloud, which was a very creamy, milky vanilla flavor, and the mango magic, made with Alphonso mango and milk. If you want, you can grab a stamp card to earn points towards a free ice cream! Although it's more of a grab and go type of place, they also had a few seating areas so you can eat there. We took the kids here on the last day of summer break and were not disappointed. Tropical fruits like sapote and cherimoya; spices like cardamom, fennel seed, and saffron; nuts like cashew, almond, and pistachio. But, order some really great Indian food, too! This unassuming place is located in a little strip mall, right down the way from the Indian grocery store that partners with Saffron Scoops, Turmeric. They are still working on the decor, I think, because it looked pretty barren in there so far. We checked out the menus and ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer lunch boxes. There was complimentary chai tea while we waited, standing at the tall tables because there's no seating. After about fifteen minutes, our bag came out with our two meals and plastic utensils. We opted to eat standing at the table, and the meals were delicious! They include roti, our selected main meals, rice, a massive samosa and a gulab jamun for dessert. Everything was piping hot and perfectly seasoned, although our medium heat request seemed pretty mild. We were too full to go back for the ice cream, but I'm planning on checking that out this weekend! While I wish there was seating, especially since they have a large sunny patio, standing and eating isn't too big of a deal when the food is so delicious and the prices are a steal! read more

I was looking for a place to stop by to grab a drink and maybe a small bite to eat before I went to a medical appointment. I wanted to try anything but sbux (usually seems the most convenient/accesible in that area) so I was happy I followed the inclination to drive past sbux to see the colorful storefront SAFFRON sign. it was a great choice to stop by! I was able to drop in, and within 5 minutes leave with yummy hot chai and two veggie samosas. The best type of "fast food"! Yummy, flavorful- spice and seasoning were satisfying. Friendly staff. No seating, but there were some taller tables. If I wanted to eat there, I wouldn't mind standing. However, if you're looking to dine in, this is not an ideal spot for that. Take out/ice cream/quick bites - Although not a sit down/dine in atmosphere, the street/quick food vibe is on point. And delicious! clean food service area. Soft pastel interior decor. Parking was easy. We'll visit again to try out more of the menu - and ice cream :). read more

One visit and I am a customer for life! The unique ice cream flavors were what my husband and I came in for but then got excited to see other menu items including indian street food and chat samosas - something I have only found in Estes Park previously. See their online menu for which menu items are offered each day. The young lady behind the ice cream counter was very friendly and hospitable. She offered us samples before we made our final decision. My husband went classic with vanilla and butterscotch and I chose rose, vermicelli and basil seed along with saffron and pistachio. Absolutely love this hidden gem in Fort Collins! Came here after shopping in their grocery store, Turmeric, next door. Took home some paneer butter masala and malai kulfi ice cream. The paneer was excellent - rich, flavorful, and creamy. The ice cream is also very well-made, and I love the wide assortment of flavors. Most importantly, the service was excellent. This fairly quick service indian food is as good as any sit down indian restaurant you can go to quality wise. As for service, the young man working the register was patient in answering all menu questions and providing samples of lots of the unique ice cream flavors. If you've never heard of Indian ice cream give this place a try. While they have typical flavors like chocolate and vanilla there are a ton of flavors to try and in general the tastes are complex, like spices and nuts. By comparison I think typical American ice cream flavors are all just different types of sweet. I had the malai kulfi ice cream which is cardamom flavored. Pair it with a side of chai tea for a delightful treat. I guess the ice cream is made from A2 milk and there's maybe a different process for making the cream but in any case it translates to a really nice texture read more

The ice cream here is so amazing it's hard to describe. The flavors are so exotic, and made with real fruits, nuts, and spices. I was buying ice cream for my family and I was afraid I wouldn't remember the flavors I ordered, so she wrote them out for me on the lids. But it didn't matter because every flavor was exquisite! I often have a hard time finding food at restaurants that's tasty and nutritious enough to be attractive to me, so I'm actually stunned to have found this treasure of a shop. Delicious new restaurant in Fort Collins serving wonderful Indian street food with a rotating menu, along with incredible and unique ice cream flavors! Every single dish we had was wonderful, from the street food items of the day, to the paneer biryani, to the last bite of ice cream. I am SO THRILLED that this place just opened! I just stopped in for ice cream with my family. We each got a different flavor and all four flavors were AMAZING. The mango tasted like biting into the juiciest, ripest mango you could ever imagine. They have so many flavors I have never seen or tried before. If you love trying new flavors, this place is for you. If you like to keep it safe, their chocolate is lovely. They also have food for take out that I look forward to trying.
