Just ordered from here last night. After spending nearly $100 on an order, the Nann bread was old, flat and stale tasting. Everyone was so nice and our waitress made sure that everything was good throughout our meal. Vegetable Samosa. It came out lukewarm and not hot making me think it wasn't made fresh. That also lended to them tasting more flat and meh. Flavors were lacking on the chicken tikka saag and the garlic naan, but the portions were nice and big. Plenty of saag for at least two meals. Murg Malai Kebab. A yummy tandoori chicken that was tender and cooked to perfection. It had a subtle flavor good enough for my picky sister and paired well with the ample amount of basmati rice. I was also really pleased with their COVID-19 prevention measures. They take your forehead temperature when you arrive, space out guest seating, and staff wears masks and gloves. The main reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars was the speed of service. It took a while for our order to be taken then took a long time to receive our meal. There were only 3 parties seated in the restaurant, but they seemed pretty busy with to-go orders. We'll definitely eat here again, but I'd suggest calling ahead and ordering to-go! read more

More than Biriyani I think Schezwan noodles is one of the tastiest dish with good amount of veggie and protein as requested. They got 3 levels of spice and can be adjusted accordingly. I recommend their uttappam and for spiciness they add chiles which is to be remembered before ordering. And it was bit disappointing chutney was not available and limited to sambar. Speaking as someone who grew up in India and in southeast Michigan (with lots of Indian food), I definitely know my Indian food. I have to say, hands down, this is the BEST Indian restaurant in the US that I've been to! Even my mom and sister who have even more experience with Indian food absolutely loved this place; we all agree it tastes like food made in India. Some of the menu items on here I've never seen at most other Indian places either - some of the items are things my mom made at home or are from my hometown in India. The ambiance is so comfortable, they play some traditional Indian music (some Telugu music, if you're familiar). Everyone here is so friendly as well - the food comes out so quickly! At first glance, the prices look a little high, but given the big portion sizes and the amazing quality, it is absolutely worth it. As an Indian person, you must understand that it is against the rules for me to give 5 stars to any Indian restaurant as it will always never live up to my mother's cooking. Nevertheless, I tried out Bawarchi because they were one of the few vegetarian/vegan options available via DoorDash. I don't use DoorDash but, for whatever reason, it appears to be the go-to gift card of the pandemic so I had way too much money in DoorDash gift cards to not utilize it in some way. I ordered garlic naan, palak paneer, aloo gobi, paneer tikka masala, and paneer kebab. I have to say for something available on DoorDash and that I was expecting to just be standard, I was fairly impressed. Everything tasted very good particularly the paneer tikka masala which I always will be a fan of when done well. One thing that stood out to me was that the aloo gobi was spiced really well. It was great to me but I was pretty amazed that was the standard level of spice at an Indian restaurant in America where things are usually pretty mild. So keep an eye on that if your tastebuds don't want something too spicy and you're ordering the aloo gobi. Otherwise, everything else was spiced pretty mild to me but tasted great. The restaurant handled COVID-19 and takeout well and up to the standards that I've seen of other restaurants in Fort Collins. I also appreciated that they honored DoorDash for takeout as I had no interest in some random driver delivering the food to me. All in all, really surprised by the experience from Bawarchi. This place is very good--a solid 4+ stars. Very extensive menu including north and south Indian dishes. Wait staff very attentive. A few issues--mainly they had NO bread due to their tandoori oven not working. I was craving garlic naan and alas, none to be had. My husband's entree came out 30 minutes after my entree. I was so hungry so I started eating slowly but was basically done by the time his food came out. I requested my meal be prepared dairy free (everything is labeled well so you'll know what's dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, etc. GREAT for groups with lots of eating styles!). However the samosas were brought out with a huge cup of dairy-laden sauce. I asked if there was dairy in the sauce and was told yes. Later I was offered dairy free sauce but was already done eating the samosas by then... All in all, it was a great dinner. Nice portion sizes and we had enough for leftovers. This has the best lamb biryani I've ever had!! So much flavor and they definitely do NOT skimp on the lamb meat. I've ordered this dish at other places and the restaurant sometimes gives tons of rice but very little of the actual meat. But Bawarchi gives you so much meat. It's a large portion, definitely enough to feed 2-3 people, which is a great value for the price. We also ordered the lamb chops which were AMAZING, especially when paired with the mint sauce. It lost its flavor, took on new ones and just generally seems like they are not using a recipe or cutting ingredients. Same chef. Time to find a new place in town, it's borderline just not good now.
