Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan
    Isabella K.

Popped by Saffron for a bite before heading to Broadway, and it was definitely the right decision. The line moved quickly, my order arrived promptly, and the staff was friendly. I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala and an order of Garlic Naan. With tax and tip, I easily surpassed the $20 mark, but it seems like everywhere in Nashville has some wild prices, so I wasn't totally shocked. But, honestly, the portion size made it worth it. My dish was huge, and I couldn't finish all of it. The Chicken Tikka Masala was flavorful and had plenty of chicken in it. The rice was cooked to perfection, and the Garlic Naan made the perfect accompaniment to mop up some sauce. Assembly Food Hall is a great spot with tons of options. It can get really loud during peak meal times, but there's lots of seating to be had, with a few cozier corners. The AC is a treat when it's way too hot outside or you've just come from a crowded Honky Tonk. Would recommend stopping by.

Went to the food hall on a Friday evening and this place caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. Ordered biryani with lamb. The price was faire compared to everything else around and for the convenience of food that came out quickly. The staff was friendly. Portion was large! Couldn't finish it and couldn't save it because we were going out for the evening but would recommend for someone wanting a quick bite that was pretty tasty!

Stopping in to the assembly food hall there is soo much to choose from! It's hard to decide but I landed on Indian kitchen. The garlic naan was cooked perfectly and the dish I ordered was the korma masala. It's a good size helping you can share everything! The flavor was a little lack need more seasoning and a little more kick. The service was quick which took about 10-15 min. Ambiance is loud at the assembly hall so many people in and out and again so many cuisines to choose from.

Pretty good food! I ordered delivery this time and everything came safe and sound. Mango lassi: 4.5/5. Great flavor. Delicious. Veggie samosas: 4/5. Good samosas. Nice spice. I was looking for a little more complexity of flavor but it does the job. Tikka masala: 4.5/5. Very tasty. Creamy and flavorful. Nice big chunks of chicken. I actually wish they were a bit smaller for ease of eating but doesn't take away from the flavor of course. Naan: 3.5/5. I like my naan a fluffier but it was okay. It wasn't advertised as garlic naan but no complaints cuz that's what I wanted. I assume it would be tastier fresh so give it a shot yourself! Overall, probably the best Indian food I've had in Nashville since moving here. Not many options on the menu, this is definitely a smaller, food court spot, but what they have is good! I would for sure eat here again!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting the local food hall and was instantly pulled in by the delicious aromas of the food here! Staff was very friendly and gave good suggestions for someone me like me who has never eaten Indian cuisine before. I had the chicken tikka masala with basmati rice and garlic naan. The chicken was plentiful and the sauce was really robust, paring nicely with the naan bread. the bread was made fresh and my food stayed hot in its container while I waited on my boyfriend to get his from another restaurant in the food hall. This restaurant will definitely be my go to if I'm ever in Assembly Food Hall again!

After browsing Assembly Food Hall, my boyfriend and I landed on Saffron and we're so glad we ate here! I was pleasantly surprised by the large portion sizes. The Tikka Masala bowl was SO good! Chicken pieces were a little big, but it was such a good dish. The garlic naan was absolutely stellar. My boyfriend got a salad and chicken samosas. The samosas was a little on the spicy side for me, and I honestly didn't get to the salad since I was honed in on my bowl. Absolutely worth the stop at Assembly Food Hall!

    * Food Court Style Dining * The Assembly is a cool place to grab a quick lunch. You have options from Nashville Chicken to Indian to Burgers and more. We stopped by Saffron and ordered: - Rice Bowl with Chicken and Tikka Masala sauce: good rice to sauce to meat ratio. The Tikka sauce was buttery and creamy. Milder in flavor compared to other Indian restaurants I am more familiar with. Still a good tasting dish. Recommend. - Cauliflower Manchurian: the dish looked so vibrant when it was served but lacked So. Much. Flavor! I was incredibly disappointed. The cauliflower was really crunchy but the sauce left so much to be desired. If you are familiar, this dish should have a sweet soy flavor with notes of ginger. I picked none of this up. Do Not Recommend This Dish.

I'm surprised this place didn't have a line. Food's really good. And price was fair. They can also adjust spice levels for their that are more sensitive, which I don't see often in Indian cuisine

Yup. Very good. Covid safe too as I am proud of my Antibody Negative update from the American Red Cross. Service stood out the most. Even when I needed to delay my order to go and get some lottery tickets. They were so accommodating. Food was delicious as well. What more could I ask for. Word! Very good job gentlemen.

We've been eating our way through Assembly Food Hall and we had to come to Saffron as the aroma grabs you as you're walking by and doesn't let go. My wife and I tried the chicken tikka masala and gobi Manchurian as well the chicken samosas and all 3 of these dishes were very, very tasty. The tikka masala had great flavor and the basmati rice was cooked well. Gobi Manchurian is a favorite of mine and theirs was very flavorful with a good amount of spice. The samosas were also very good and it was a filling and flavorful meal overall!

We ordered family-style, and every dish that hit the table was vibrant, aromatic, and made with love. The tandoori chicken was simple yet so comforting, it arrived in a sizzling skillet adding a hint of flare in the presentation. Each chicken piece was beautifully charred, and coated in a bold, smoky marinade. The curries were so rich and each one had its own personality. The creamy yellow curry from the Chicken Korma was very rich in flavor while the saagwala was earthy, well-seasoned, and not over-puréed. Personally my favorite was the chicken korma the curry sauce was just on another level, I highly recommend this dish. The lamb biryani was another highlight with fragrant basmati rice and huge chunks of lamb generously garnished with fresh cilantro. Bread lovers be warned! Rajdhani is Nepali food, which none of us had ever tried - but we all love Indian food and Nepali food had some similar flavors and dishes. We started with two orders of momo (Nepali dumplings). We had a vegetarian party in our party, so we got one order of the vegetable momo and one order of the chicken momo. To be honest, I was more excited about the chicken momo, but the vegetable momo BLEW ME AWAY. The chicken was okay (a little dry and not as flavorful as the vegetable), but the vegetable was amazing. (The chicken was still worth ordering, but it needed a bit of the sauce to make it more delicious, and the vegetable momo didn't need anything at all.) Then we shared a bunch of dishes family style: chicken curry, aalu govi (potato, cauliflower, and spices - aloo gobi in Indian cuisine), a vegetarian thali (a dish of many small dishes, which included a daal, eggplant, okra, and other veg dishes), chicken curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and paneer chili. Everything was good, but my favorites were the Chicken Tikka Masala, the paneer chili, and the okra from the veg thali. Rajdhani is a grocery store and cafe. The cafe is to the back of the grocery store. The service was good, and our server answered all the questions we had about the menu. We finished ALL of our plates. Every little bite of food was eaten. We didn't leave hungry, that's for sure! Rajdhani isn't a fancy place. But as an introduction to Nepali food? It's a winner. I definitely plan on going back and trying more Nepali food if the opportunity arrives! If you like to explore the international cuisine available in Nashville's Nolensville corridor, add Rajdhani to your list! Well worth the hike out to Nolensville and Bell Road (admittedly not so much of a hike for this Crieve Hall girl). Two thumbs up!

Surati had been on my radar for a long while so when I drove past, I knew that I had made my mind up. Despite it being a Friday night, it wasn't very busy. The inside is small but not so much that you'd have a claustrophobic attack. Parking is easy (thankfully; a rarity these days) so after walking in... I sorta stood there. I'm not new to small mom & pops but I didn't quite know how things worked here and rather than call out, I waited to be greeted. I would have to continue to wait. No wanting to stand in silence with a nearly empty dining room, I asked about the ordering process. Maybe the kitchen (and front of house) was busy with online orders? My service was standoffish at best. Normally I would have left but open hours on Friday night can fluctuate and I didn't want to start over in another queue (it was after 7). Had I eaten in, I would have gone for a dosa. Not knowing how that would travel, I opted for Szechuan fried rice (medium). I hadn't so much as ordered and sat in a booth to look at my phone to waste some time when I was told my food was ready. Either Surati has the fastest chefs in the city or my food was not made to order -- and I certainly didn't experience the 'extras' other Yelpers describe. Not wanting to get into it, I paid and left. I came home to a generous amount of well-seasoned biryani rice and vegetables with just enough heat to let you know you're alive but not so much as to wreck your mouth. I took the W. Food was good enough and I felt that I got my money's worth. Everything else about my experience, though, led me to conclude that this would be a one and done for me. Onto the next.
