It's located in an industrial park just off Clyde. So their signage says "home of the bulgogi hoagie." I love beef bulgogi, so I went in with the intentions of getting that, but I discovered that the meat is marinaded not only in sesame oil (which I can eat), but also in sesame seeds (which I can't eat), so I could not experience their bulgogi hoagie :( and had to order something else. I settled on the fish tacos ($8) with a side garden salad (the menu said $4, but I was charged $4.25, and I wasn't going to quibble over a quarter, lol). I got 2 tacos and they were 2 large pieces of pan-fried white fish on top of iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes in a soft flour tortilla. I liked that the sour cream and salsa automatically came on the side because I hate it when places drench food in sour cream and sauces. The tacos were fine, but they lacked oomph. The fish was seasoned and wasn't bland, but there just wasn't any flavourful kick to it. As the expression goes, they weren't anything to write home about. I did appreciate that the fish wasn't oily/greasy though. So anyone who knows me knows that I look upon iceberg lettuce with great disdain. I feel that iceberg lettuce is a cheapy filler lettuce, and I much prefer a real spring/mesclun mix, or arugula, kale and/or spinach. I would even begrudgingly settle for romaine lettuce. So I was really disappointed that the salad that I received was mostly iceberg lettuce (3 simultaneous sad faces!). It did have some cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled beets, and green onions as well, and the vegetables were fresh, but I was still disappointed. I was trying to be healthy, but I should have just gotten the fries, haha. Service was very friendly and efficient. Decor is typical diner. They serve all day breakfast, and with a name like Miss Molly's Breakfast Club, I guess their specialty after the bulgogi hoagie is breakfast. I'd like to return and try their Eggs Benedict. Hopefully I'll be able to bump up my rating by a star or two. They have their own private parking lot with lots of parking spots.

Delicious I got the Italian hero sandwich and the wife got the turkey pesto and we shared a regular fry and a dip. Both sandwiches were amazing. Great portion size and deeply flavourful. Like I mentioned we got the regular fry and the bag was basically overflowing with fries. The first were chunky fresh cut and seasoned perfectly. Like a lot of the reviews have stated this place is more of a to go location and to be honest that's more than okay. The owners definitely know the meaning of value for money. And I will for sure be coming back. This restaurant is a must try. Enjoy!

And lo and behold, Triple D indeed made a stop into Jax, which is about a five minute walk from our rental. So it was on a recent Tuesday morning that I popped in and ordered the Banana Bread French Toast ("House banana bread, served with cinnamon apple compote, local maple syrup, fresh whipped cream") for takeout. The food was ready about 10 minutes later and I was back at the rental and eating five minutes after that. It's really, really good. The French toast by itself is impressively not too sweet, but the when you eat it with the syrup and the apple compote and the cream, it turns into a perfectly balanced, super delicious concoction. I also got their ice coffee and we both agreed that it was far better than most ice coffees we've ever had. What an awesome little place.

The mimosas are worth it, lots of bubbles (some places really skimp, not Chesterfield's). They have many gluten-free options, which always makes me feel like I can eat like everyone else. I ordered the Bird's Nest Benny. The eggs were the most perfectly poached I've ever had at a restaurant. A side came with the benny, and I got the baked beans. The food was absolutely delicious. Potatoes, eggs, bacon, and maple-lime hollandaise that was to die for. There was so much food. Impossible to walk away hungry. Service was perfect as well. His name wasn't on the receipt, but he treated me like I was just as important as the group diners. No solo diner curse here. Cute spot, very clean, perfect service and food with quality ingredients. Harvey's is a Canadian burger chain that was founded in 1959 in Richmond Hill, ON. They were the first major chain to have customized burgers. You order your burger and then you can top it anyway you want. They don't have any exotic toppings, but they have the usual lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, banana peppers, cucumbers, and black olives. They aren't super generous with the toppings though. The burgers are thick and juicy compared to other popular chains. They have chicken and fish burgers too, and 2 different types of veggie burgers (a soy based one and a pea protein based one). I actually really like their fish burger. It's crispy, unlike the filet-o-fish at McDonald's. This location is good. I have never had a problem with them overcharging me or getting my order wrong. There's no real food court at Merivale Mall, just a Pizza Pizza and a Fat Bastard Burrito, which is attached to the mall, but accessible via an external outside entrance only (you can't get to it from inside the mall). So Harvey's is a good option if you're shopping in the mall and want something to eat. I recommend their blueberry or apple pie $1.99 for 2 for dessert. They are deep fried hand pies and are delicious!
