So I had a tooth that needed to be removed. I called them cause they were in my dental plan for my insurance, was able to schedule an emergency appointment for the same day. Scheduled for 4pm awesome I work not more then 5 mins away, I got a call from them around 1:30 saying I now needed to be there no later then 3:30 confused I said ok. Left work at 3:10 to make it there. Checked in and 3:19 went thru all usually paperwork. Only to be called back at 4:10pm. After talking to dr and telling my problem, she looked at the tooth in question and said yes this tooth needs to be removed, she then started talking about how I also need a root canal on another tooth, explained to her we can handle that issue once we handle why I am there first. She said she needed a note from my primary doctor first in order to pull the tooth. Now I have never heard of that being done before, and I've had a few teeth pulled. Anyway told her I wouldn't be able to get that till Tuesday, she handed me the form, I go straight to my doctor the next am when they open. I get it signed, I go back to Sage with paper in hand. I hand it over to reception desk. About 10 mins later I get called back, the dr now says that my dr did not fill it out correctly, confused I ask what's missing. She said my CD4 count, as I am HIV positive she needed that. That was NOT one of the questions asked on the sheet, but she wants it and won't do it till she receives it. I was able to send her what I had in my lab reports. Ok cool. We go to pay for the procedure and I am ready to pay what I was quoted the day before, $286.00 I have the quote with me on the paperwork they gave me. The lady then tells me it will cost $346.00. I tell her that is not what you told me less then 24hours ago, she looks stunned and confused and questions me as to what was quoted, I tell her $286.00 I have the paperwork, she looks at the computer and tells me "wow I wonder what changed" anyway I pay what I am told the day before. Go back to wait, only to get called back again telling me they won't be doing the procedure as the dr didn't like what my labs said, confused I say you know what just give me back my money and let me go, she does say I can wait a month or two and come back, and that we can schedule it for then as well as the root canal. I just wanted my money. I got it I left. This place is a scam and waste of time. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!! read more

Out of pocket cost! Then when I went for my cleaning sage stated I had a "credit".... Well if you quote all insurance wrong I am not surprised but they didn't have the audacity to even TELL ME. I found out only because I went to Saint Cloud office for my quarterly cleaning ( Saint Cloud office is still awesome ) I called for a quote on the other three teeth that were not impacted and didn't require a surgeon as I was getting quoted with all impacted teeth when only one of the teeth were (trying to get extra money out of me after a bait and switch) and I am have been waiting TWO WEEKS for the quote to be updated. 3 out of 4 dentists stated no bone graft and yet the loop doctor wants to add it in at $180 a price. Got a quote from another local doctor who has been doing dentistry for over 40 years and quoted $55 for the other three teeth to complete my braces. Easily the worst experience at a dental establishement I've ever had. Pros - The assistant I had was very nice and attentive Cons - - Waited 45 minutes past my appointment time - Took them over an hour to do an exam and X-Rays - After the exam they said "we don't usually clean same day as your APPOINTMENT but I can get you in since I happen to have time" by the time they actually went to clean my teeth I've been there for 2.5 hours!!!!!!! - Then proceed to tell me the only cleaning I can get is an "Advanced cleaning" not covered by my insurance... I said I would like to defer to the cleaning covered by my insurance so I don't have to pay an out of pocket expense. They refused. - During my cleaning, I asked if I had to have fluoride as I preferred not to, hygeinest said nope and proceeded to slather it on my teeth. The place and staff sucks. This is an absolutely treacherous place, with some of the most incompetent, unpleasant, and un-empathetic staff that I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. These people are uneducated and instill fear and panic into you and your dental condition, to persuade you to pay an astronomical amount of money for treatments that you may not need. They financially prey on the naive and elderly. They run a very seedy operation. I went for a deep cleaning on Feb. 2024, and their hygienist by the name of Ivette was extremely rude, unprofessional, and was complaining that her giving me a deep cleaning would take up her lunch time, as if the latter is my problem. Anyways, when she gave me a deep clean, she did an absolute number on my gums, to the point where they still haven't healed and been the same, and it's been over four months. My gums have NOT been the same since! The same characteristics apply to their head dentist Maria Balda. She didn't take her time to listen to my concerns, and would always be eager to just move on to the next customer, as if I'm at a fast food joint. My experience was horrible. The dentist that I had was Maria Balda. This woman should have her license taken away, or maybe she was in training. This is the worst dentist I have ever encountered in the world. Let me explain the appointment experience. I arrived at 3pm my appointment time. Sat and waited for a little while. About 30 minutes later I asked what's the hold up. Was told another dentist was there and taking up some of the rooms, they will call me. They had the TV and the radio going at the same time and of course I had a headache and asked if they could turn one off. It was like talking to the wall. After an hour past my appointment, I got up again and asked if they were going to call me yet. Was told as soon as a chair was available. A few minutes later I was finally called in. I sat down and heard stuff slammed onto the counters. Someone came in and explained the charges for that day. Then later came in and swabbed the two teeth with anesthesia to be worked on. Sat and waited for this Maria Balda to come in and work on my teeth. She put the shots into my gums and waited for the numbness that never happened. She pulled the teeth out in pieces, and I felt everything as if no shots were put in. I was screaming and kicking all around but stayed because needed to get them out. It hurt like hell and her assistant was no help at all. Went to the front to pay whatever they charged for, and the ladies in front told me they heard me screaming. This is the most unprofessional dental office I have ever encountered. Other Offices I've been to have put more anesthesia on gums if needed. Use Sage for orthodontics at your own risk. What was supposed to be a 3-year orthodontic treatment has escalated into over five years of headaches and additional costs. Ultimately, it will necessitate an additional $8,000-$10,000 for restorative work, beyond the initial orthodontic treatment costs. One would expect flawless teeth after 5 years, yet I am now seeking a different provider to fix the issues caused by Sage. I feel like I'm starting all over. When I started it was just cosmetic and now I have real issues effecting my health that need to be fixed. Initially, their corporate office consented to finance the majority of my necessary repair costs due to their flawed treatment plan. However, they are now demanding thousands more dollars. I was never even upset about the issues I've had with my care because things happen and people make mistakes but I can't deal with shady business practices. I come in for my final appointment and just like clockwork now they say I owe them $20 when I've already paid them over $1700 for my procedure that should have been done on the first visit however took three visits. The $20 is supposed to be for an office visit and now PPE that I have to pay for even though they should already have PPE with gloves and masks. I spoke with the office manager who was no help and she was the one pushing this cost. Her name is ILeana Berio. Do whatever you can and steer clear of this office they are incompetent and will charge you for things that you're not responsible for at their own failure to run an office. Everyone's appointments went great except when it was my 87 yr old mom's appt. As a new pt. She filled out all the paperwork, handed it in and proceeded to wait 3 1/2 hrs. Now appt. #3 We had to wait 2months out for this next appt. Finally tomorrow the 18th of May is her appt. @ 11:00am. So I call and guess what?! Dentist won't be in have to reschedule!!!! And there computer system is down again! Sooooo won't be able to get an appt. now!!! So angrily I went straight to Sage and requested to speak to the office manager. A definite 5-star dental clinic. From start to finish, I was floored by their customer service. My first time visiting another clinic than the one I've been going to since I was 12. I had Mayling as my hygienist - she was amazing, kind, and attentive. As was Rose who took my X-rays - amazing clientele service. Dr. Jainandan answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel horrible about not flossing everyday. Lol. I would 10/10 recommend to any friend. Sage is a great dental office. The doctor and the hygenist are excellent. (I love Lacey!) They get me in and out fast and really care. Unfortunately, I got a complete runaround regarding my orthodontics. I wanted to transfer care and the orthodontist made me wait months and months. I found another great orthodontist who is very helpful, and now I have to travel from Davenport to get my wires off, over to Sage for the cleaning and then back to Davenport to finish my braces adjustment. I really wanted to get everything done at the same place but it did not work out that way. All in all, I would recommend. read more

I had my first visit in October 2022 got xrays done. They had to submit to my insurance for approval of the work to be done. My plan usually responses quickly I was told. I have been calling the Loop/Kissimmee, Fl office ever since. It is now 3/2023. I called in November, December, January, February and March. I did not take any names, each time I am told "I don't see that any request was sent to my insurance for authorization and they say "I am going to put in request right now" I can't believe up to now it has not been sent. I called my insurance 3/1/2023 and they have never receive any authorization requests from Sage Dental. These ladies are getting paid for a job they are not doing. From reading the other reviews, I see there is a lot of incompetence at play at Sage Dental. I was going to go into the office, but at this point, it is a waste of time. I would give zero star if I can. Today, My mom went to Sage dental at Loop (1188 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee) on 11/29/21. She came in 10mins early at her 9am appointment. My mom then went to the desk, told them that she has a 9am appointment and sat down. She sat there for an hour waiting for her to be called. almost an hour passed, nobody gave her an instruction, other people who came after her were assisted first. She then realized that it has been an hour and still has not been called for any instructions. she got up and asked again that she has an appointment. She was then asked if she had logged in. She said "no" because she already informed them and was not given any kind of instruction nor a log paper. We were then informed that there were only 2 doctors today and that the other staff (a woman) whom my mom talked to when she came in belong in a different department. However, the 2 front desk women sat in front of my mom for almost an hour and did not even bother asking her what she was in for??? She was then asked if she could be rebooked for FEBRUARY. She was also asked if she could go to another Sage Dental location which she had declined because she had appointed to that location for a reason. We were so disappointed because my mother wasted her day off and was not given any reasonable solution. This is seriously the WORST customer service I have ever received! The doctor knows what he is doing, and is extremely nice and the location is clean but it has taken 4 attempts to fix one small issue, and when you say something the office staff seems to care less. To make matters worse, the staff blames the issues on the lab and everyone else but they do not take responsibility for anything! As a company, the lab is the vendor they choose to use therefore problems caused by the lab are a direct representation of the kind of service they provide! I would not recommend using them - I would find a doctor that can provide the services needed within the timeframe estimate - Its going on 6 weeks since I started this! read more

I have made three appointments in which I have never been able to see a doctor. I am originally a patient from the Windermere location, and in all three visits I have had issues. In the first apt they said I needed to see the orthodontist not the general doctor, so in my second apt come to find out was given to me on a day in which the office was closed! In my third and final attempt, they said I could not be see because I was a patient from Windermere originally. Why was I not told this on day one? This office is nice and the doctor is nice, Jainandan. My daughter sees the orthodontist there so I went ahead and saw the dentist. I went in 2 weeks ago for a crown and have a temporary crown, it came out 1 week later. I went in to get a 2nd temporary crown 4 days after that and now the 2nd temporary crown has come off the 3rd day later. And it's 4th of July. I have not eaten anything crunchy or sticky I haven't even been chewing on that side of my mouth. . I have been hung up on twice by their emergency after hours guy so far this morning before he would even let me speak my problem. It is another 8 days until the appointment to get the permanent which they told me won't fit if the temporary doesn't stay in place. I also live an hour and a half away and am 6 months pregnant. I get through to the after hours guy on the 3rd call and I tell him not to disconnect me that he's hung up on me twice, he tells me to bring a notch or he will have to hang up on me.
