At almost 84 years old i had a tooth problem. Went to Sage and Dr. Cork examined me. He said could fix or remove. I am fearful of root canals and decided to have tooth extracted. The tooth was broken and the filling from my teen years was about 70 year old and was stating to fall out. Now i did not know how this procedure would work and of course we all want pain free, yes. Well i have only had one other Doctor work on my eye and i labeled my Retina Doc as the painless Doc after several needles in my eye LOL. What I have to say is I definitely rate Dr. Cork an my official second Doctor Painless. Very professional work and you can tell he cares about his patients. I could not be more happy with Sage and Dr. Cork. His assistant was wonderful too, sorry i forgot her name, but she was great and added to my most painless visit for tooth extraction. I had my initial intake at Sage Dental in Viera today, and it was genuinely amazing. I've had a lot of negative dentist experiences in the past, but this visit completely changed that for me. From start to finish, everything was seamless and comforting. A huge thank-you to Larry, the dental assistant, and Scotty, the dental hygienist -- both were so kind, reassuring, and attentive. And Dr. Lorena was absolutely wonderful. I felt cared for, respected, and truly at ease the whole time. I'm so grateful for this team. If I could give less I would. 4 days of nightmare just trying to set up an initial appointment for consultation on new dentures. Unfortunately will have to go out of network. If they can't set up a simple appointment how as I to trust them with expensive dentures. Unfortunately this is the now healthcare direction. read more

Only go if you want to be scammed & stressed out! This hellish experience happened on 12/4/25 and it was only my 2nd visit. When I first visited in June of 2025, I was told my teeth, despite some sensitivity & light irritation, were in good condition (the dentist even said they were boring) and that I only needed a cleaning every six months. Fast forward to December when I go in for my 2nd cleaning. After being made to wait about 20 minutes, the hygienist, Mohammad, comes in for the preliminary exam. After 5 minutes of poking my gums (with what felt like an ice pick) to the point that they bled, the hygienist announced I had a gum infection and periodontal disease & needed to have a deep cleaning immediately. I was shocked & questioned how that was possible given the good report I'd gotten 6 months ago. Mohammad seemed offended that I questioned him & said "well your gums are red & bleeding & they are about a 6 or 7 (which is apparently poor) on our rating scale". I asked what they'd rated at my 1st visit & when he said they were at a 3 or 4, I questioned how it was possible their condition had degraded so quickly when I hadn't changed my eating or cleaning habits. He got a condescending/snarky attitude and started going on about how he was university trained for many years & knew what he was talking about. He proceeded to go on that if I didn't take care of this, I was looking at further infections which could damage my health & lead to things like heart disease & sepsis. At this point, I started to panic & said I hadn't experienced any symptoms that indicated something was wrong and he said usually by the time symptoms show up, "it's already too late". He left the room for about 5 minutes to go figure out the cost of my treatment & I had a mini panic attack. When he came back, he said that my insurance would only cover part of the deep cleaning, but that he was going to apply some discounts the office was running which would bring my out-of-pocket payment to $160 (when the basic cleaning would have only cost me $35). In the same sentence, he also tried to sell me on buying a mouth guard to be used with an anti-septic gel which would "only cost about $250" (like it was merely pocket change). I opted out of that but did say I'd do the deep cleaning because he had sufficiently scared me that my teeth were in terrible shape. At the end of the appointment, he said I needed to be coming in for a deep cleaning every 3 months because "once there's an infection, it's there for life." After that I decided to get a 2nd opinion at the local university's dental college as they are very professional and inexpensive. I brought my records from both my appointments at Sage so they could see Mohammad's notes & the notes from the visit in June that said my gums & teeth were in good condition. After a consultation, the program's head doctor said that there was no sign of a gum infection or ongoing periodontal disease and that my gum rating was still at a 3 or 4. They also took new x-rays that showed no increased damage. The doctor and the hygienist were both clearly shocked at the difference between the records I brought and their assessment. The doctor said that this seemed to be a case of fearmongering for the purpose of upselling and that what Sage Dental did to me was a disservice & unethical. I'm inclined to agree because, despite your oath to do no harm, the actions of your hygienist caused me harm in the form of worry & stress & also created a financial strain just before the holidays. Sage Dental - Viera. Great dentist! However, staff is unconsidered- from reception to dentist's assistant. Had an appointment at 10.30 am for my little one. Just a consultation. Didn't get in until 11.10 am. When scheduling, I explained- my 8 year old needs 3 teeth pulled, spacers places. The lady who scheduled me, confirmed it's the perfect place. Got there and the only thing done was " picture" of her teeth. They had to send me with a referral to a pediatrician dentist. For that referral, I had to stay in the office for another 45 min. Left us in the room waiting. No personal care. No attention, and still no referral. Got up and left because I had to go to work. Asked them to release information from the visit to me, and told them I don't their referral, since after all that wait, referral didn't come. Filled up a form for release of information to be straight sent to my email, and left. I'll find an appropriate care myself. They schedule multiple people at the same time. When scheduling for a child, no matter what the receptionist say, just know -this is NOT a place where they extract teeth or would do ortho work. They want you to go, drain your insurance and give you a referral. Anyway, giving 2 stars because of the kindness of the dentist. Reception lady and dental assistant- rude. Not even an apology! They were pissed at me for just being there. I understand the office was short staffed the day I went. However, no human touch. The funny thing was - they asked me if I want to reschedule- like robots. Walked out and through my tears, I laughed. My baby was on antibiotics because of a broken tooth. I normally do not do reviews. Chain dental companies are interested in your money. I have insurance, my second visit was a filling that would have been covered at my previous dentist, who unfortunately retired, and today was a teeth cleaning which should be covered but was told there was an additional charge over $100. I can't say enough good things about Sage Dental! Our dentist retired and we had yet to establish new care. My wife had a tooth that broke. So, we began a search to find a facility that would accept our insurance, BCBS Federal. We quickly identified a potential dentist. When we arrived, they declined to take our insurance. So, we tried again and found a dentist who advertised they accepted our insurance. When we got there, they said they stopped using BCBS. By this point, she's gone 3 days with a broken tooth. We began cold calling dentists in the Viera area and stumbled across Sage Dental. When we explained our situation, they fit us into their schedule and addressed my wife's horrible pain. They were friendly and compassionate, and went out of their way to help her. Dr Cork was her dentist and he treated her with great compassion and with a gentle touch. Got an uneasy feeling when 15 minutes after I made my initial appt, they called me up to ask be if I wanted "the works" (my words, not theirs), but meaning did I want X-Rays, cleaning, fluoride treatment etc. When I went there to check in, there was already a $60 charge for things I did not order or want so had to have them remove it from my bill. Then the dentist told me since there was no longer any fluoride in our water that maybe I should have a treatment. On top of that, she suggested I not use my Invisalign braces as a retainer at night (even though they are prescribed) and instead wanted me to buy their $800+ mouthguard because I grind my teeth. I walked into the office on 10/23/25 to make an appointment (because no one answered the phone) for a cleaning on 11/11/25. I provided my new insurance card from my new employer that has dental, vision, and health. Lisa took my insurance card, made a copy of it, and said my insurance will work. I get a missed call 1 hour before my appointment saying they dont have my insurance card on file...so I gave it to her over the phone despite I was on my way driving from Orlando. Then 15 minutes before my 4pm appointment, I get a text from Lisa that my insurance that I provided is not working. The fact that I had this appointment booked for 3 weeks and I get a call 1 hour prior to my appointment is ludacris. Lisa and the other female behind the desk never even apologized once, not once. This office staff is completely incompetent, rude, and unprofessional. The only reason I wanted to make an appointment at this office again was because of the prior dentist and staff that is no longer there. Clearly I will never trust this new office with my dental care because they cant even handle their bookings. Do not waist your time at Sage dental, they are a joke. read more

SCAM **** This place does the bait and switch, come in for a standard cleaning, I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months, I emailed my xrays and records before walked in, even rescheduled so they had every thing.
