Dr. Prill came in..she is absolutely the most adorable lady who took such good care of me..explained everything to me..made sure I got the best care with the periodontist she referred me to..answered every question I had..she is like a breath of fresh air..and knows teeth. Then Reagan set me up with my appt with the periodontist..a cleaning appt..gave me a water bottle..toothpaste and a toothbrush..offered me water to take since it was so hot out..Jackie was so pleasant and down to earth and she had great shoes... I needed a crown reaffixed, Dr Prill told me I needed a new one. At the time I didn't know that she…read morewas motivated by greed and not customer care. So without a second opinion I agreed to a new crown. Her dental assistant talked me into a mouthguard which was ineffective for its purpose. Moreover, it caused damage to my existing dental work. The mouthguard was made of hard ridged material which is not recommended for people who have restorative dental work aka crowns and fillings. The pressure causes the bonding and cement to weaken and crack. Hence, I lost a crown and a filling. Dr. Prill refused to take responsibility for the damage caused by her inappropriate night guard, nor would she replace the night guard which did not fulfill its intended purpose. I am now facing thousands of dollars more of dental work discomfort, and time consuming appointments. When it comes to dental ethics, there is a term called malfeasance. This is when a doctor does more harm than good. I intend to file a complaint with the FLORIDA board of Dentistry. Here are some complaints made be other patients of Dr. Prill's. "I absolutely concur." DISHONEST, FRAUDULENT, MISLEADING! I was disappointed by some of the answers to my questions, so I recognize it was not an easy call for her - but it was her use of the word "honey", and it's accompanied tone of voice, that lost my business. I am finding every option to leave reviews so the dental practice management can address this. However, when I called back, (we got disconnected) I was given completely different information by another staff member. I made it clear that I was simply looking for a standard cleaning. I've had extensive recent dental work, including veneers, and I'm very familiar with my dental health. I also work with a cosmetic dentist I trust, so this wasn't a case of neglect or uncertainty on my end. What really raised a red flag for me was being told that even if I waited for the later appointment (May 7th), there was still no guarantee I would actually receive a cleaning during that visit. That's highly unusual. In my experience, both locally and elsewhere, a routine cleaning appointment is just that--scheduled, straightforward, and completed in one visit without unnecessary hurdles. The inconsistency between staff members, combined with the lack of clarity around something as basic as a cleaning, made the process feel unnecessarily complicated. It also gave the impression that the visit could turn into something more than what was initially requested, which felt more like a setup for potential upselling than a patient-centered approach. For patients who simply want a predictable and efficient routine cleaning, this may not be the right fit. Personally, I prefer a dental office that respects both my time and the purpose of my visit.

Since the first time I contacted Melbourne Family Dental and every time since Holly has always went out of her way to make sure each appointment was scheduled correctly for each family member and any questions I had or if I needed to reschedule an appointment was promptly taken care of.
