I would not recommend this dental office. My appointment was canceled last minute due to short staffing, which I understood. At my rescheduled appointment- overall the office felt unprofessional (very loud music and staff behavior not appropriate for a clinical setting). My biggest concern was my son's visit. He was scheduled for a scaling/gingivitis cleaning, but the entire procedure was completed in 18 minutes. That seems unusually quick for that type of treatment. When I asked about it, the staff was dismissive and unprofessional, and the explanation I received did not address my concerns. On top of the front desk staff person that was checking people out was beyond rude and unprofessional. Why do dentist offices tell you they accept your dental insurance and in the end you pay for the services provided. Why can't it be that the estimate that you're given is denied by the insurance company. You end up with a bill !!! Is it the insurance company or billing? I even think after the bill from the insurance I was told I was out of network!! Why is this not known ? You do provide them with your insurance!! What's the problem?? read more

Unbelievable! I was in the parking lot 3 minutes late and they gave my appointment away. Every company in the world has a 15 Grace period. Not sure who's running this place I will Never recommends or try and go here again in my life . I drove over an hour in terrible traffic for this place to tell me this nonsense. Also the Tucker location had cancelled my appointment by mistake a couple of days later and that was the only reason I was going to the Stone Mountain location since they were the only location with availability the same week! The experience at Sage Dental was positive and professional. The treatment plan was thorough and completed in a timely manner.

Set an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. Was told I would have to have an evaluation so they could see what type of cleaning I would need....go in and everyone is friendly. They measure the depth of my teeth and come back saying I have periodontal disease. Mind you my teeth don't bleed, I have no problems what so ever. Brush, floss etc. I'm told I have to pay $3500 out of pocket to have some special cleaning and will have to be back once every couple of months. I asked if I could have my teeth cleaned, which is the initial reason I came. I was told no, so I left. They follow up called me and asked if I wanted to make a follow up appointment. I said if I could have my teeth cleaned like I needed then sure. But if I can't just have my teeth cleaned then no. The woman said she would make a note and to have a good day. It's like just clean my teeth and let me worry about any issues I may have. After reading other reviews online, I'm not the only person this has happened too and I will be going elsewhere to get an actual cleaning. read more

Horrible!!!! Zero out ten, The office staff was not the least bit empathetic to time or what people might actually have going on. Office was so small that everyone behind the counter were sitting, joking and laughing with a waiting room full of people to the point they were standing. My experience with Sage Dental Stone Mountain has been excellent thus far. The staff is courteous and professional. I received a consultation and care plan on the first visit as expected. I am in phase two of my care plan and my dentist is exceptional. He is knowledgeable and attentive explaining each step as he proceeds. He consistently asks if I am ok throughout the procedure, putting me at ease. To this point, the outcome is perfect. I am very pleased. I have a concern about a bridge that was made by sage dental stone mountain. The bridge was made 3 times. And I had multiple temporaries that kept coming out while waiting for the permanent bridge. I got the final in in November and now it is loose. I really don't know what the problem is but I need it corrected. I am not comfortable with the Drs I interfaced with at the facility. I told Dr gu that it appeared to be loose in November and she refused to acknowledge it. I need this situation resolved. Can someone advise me on a resolution. I've been in the office so many times for the temporaries coming out then being rebuilt. Please help! read more

Staff were quick and efficient. As a first-time patient, I was able to schedule a cleaning on the same day.

I changed my regular dentist office that I was going to for past 6 years due to the distance of 20 miles. Sage Dental just opened up near my home address. The office and setup looked very professional, my wife and I were excited to find them so near home. During our first visit, they just took x-ray and measured depth of our gum. Then the visit was over. I was surprised by this and asked why are we were not having routing cleaning. They said they would need to schedule that on a separate day. I've been to multiple places for dentistry and never had to waste an additional day like this. My wife goes to our previous dentist every 6 months. But here they want her and me to come every 3 months to get periodontal maintenance. They also want to do deep cleaning on my wife who again goes regularly to our previous dentist. After all said and done, we have been paying over $1500 out of pocket after insurance. Previous dentist every 6 months was covered by insurance and I had to do periodontal maintenance every 4 months so I was paying $130 for in-between visits. These corporate chain like Sage Dental is all about charging fees. When I complained about how come their costs were so much, the reception guy who also handles billing said, "Well, we can't help it if your insurance does not cover all expenses." read more

So, I drove 30 minutes to be seen at the Stone Mountain location. When I got there, I was told that I would only be seen for an x-ray. They do not do same day cleaning. Plus, it smelled like dirty mop water when I walked into the office. I would not recommend. read more

I went in for a routine visit and cleaning. The doctor recommended a below-the-gum cleaning which was going to cost over $400 after insurance. I said I just wanted a regular cleaning and was told that if I refused the expensive cleaning they would give me no cleaning at all. So instead of delivering care that would have at least provided some level of benefit, they provided no care at all. read more

I just joined Sage Dental as a member and had my first visit today for x-rays, gum health check, dental exam, and treatment plan. I am thrilled with the services, the staff, and the discounted rates I receive as a member. I am now on Medicare and that plan provides only minimal dental coverage. My husband already uses Sage and he too, is very satisfied. The location is perfect for us! I believe Sage Dental will work very well for me! read more

Where do i even start, i was very excited to see a dentist finally. The dentist and the nurse basically ignored everything i wanted to get done, kept talking within themselves, didn't even listen when i pointed out my troubled areas. They told me i had to get this expensive dental cleaning done and basically gave me no choice. I was told by everyone that i dont need to get my wisdom teeth out and he mentioned if it doesn't bother me then i dont have to remove them but then kept insisting i take them off. They're very disorganized and overbook patients all the time. He left me twice during my procedure and was working on other patients. I got my right side filling done first, he was rushing and didnt even do it properly. When i went back for the left side, i told him the right side was hurting and as he was checking, i could hear him and nurse whisper 'omg you have to redo it' and looked very stressed and walked out of the room for a while, it was obvious that he did something wrong. Not only is that very unprofessional but also how am i supposed to feel comfortable, my health is in his hands and wont tell me whats going on. He told me he'll redo them for free and also missed filling the area for which i went to him in the first place! I basically had to get my right side done again, all the painful injections because he rushed the first time. My mouth was really swollen after, i had to callout from work the next day for the pain and after more than a week it still hurts. I called them to cancel my next appointment because i had work, they didnt even answer the call, i left a voicemail. I didn't get any confirmation that it was canceled or email/call asking if i wanted to reschedule. It just feels like they knew they messed up and didn't want to deal with it anymore. The office staff was not friendly at all. The dentist came in and spoke to me for maybe three minutes and then left everything up to the hygienist. The hygienist try to upsell me like we were at a car lot. I had been to a dentist prior and had a very good visit and was told that my teeth were in great shape and she tried to talk me into a cleaning that cost almost a large amount. I will not return and will be disputing the claim with my insurance provider. read more

I went to have a consultation, which I paid $14.00 for after insurance, my tooth was hurting and it felt like it was a top tooth but I had a bad wisdom that needed to come out on the bottom that was really causing the pain. The dentist could see this and told me that even though she didn't see anything in the top tooth that I could be feeling pain from the bottom one. Yet she only prescribed me a toothpaste that helps the gums and no pain pills. They tried to tell me that I was prescribed pain pills the last time I came which was the previous week, and I had not. I just felt like they were treating me like a junkie asking for drugs when I was in severe pain from a decaying wisdom tooth. although I came consulting about a top tooth that it felt like was causing pain, she knew it was coming from the bottom and kept saying I don't see anything referring to the top area, so therefore she refused to prescribe any pain pills. It was the worse experience and I left feeling insulted yet I was shocked. The nurse even left me in the front and never came back to let me know if the dentist was going to write the prescription. I had to catch her as she passed by to get a response because they didn't want to address prescribing me pain pills for an obvious tooth that was hurting. I understand dentist are cautious with prescriptions but it was a hole in my tooth that she knew had to be causing me pain. I didn't get the dentist or the nurse name but it was my first time going to that location because I regularly go to the La Vista rd and I doubt they would have treated me this way so I don't recommend this location. Sage dental is on the pricey side for services FYI and always have to wait due to overbooking and overlapping of times. read more

First off, I just wanted to say I hate going to the dentist. It hurts and the staff is usually rude & unfriendly. But that DEFINITELY ISN'T the case at SAGE DENTAL OF STONE MOUNTAIN. I felt very welcomed the moment I stepped foot in the door. Staff at the front desk was very friendly & I had no anxiety about being there. They play very good music too which also help you feel better about being in a dentist office. Dr Graham is a very exceptional man. He's very knowledgeable and has taught me alot about keeping my mouth healthy. He's a real stand up perfectionist who will stop at nothing until the job is done correctly. Also he didn't hurt me much despite of all the work I've had done. I'm extremely happy with the work that Dr Graham and his assistants (Michelle & Deja) have done.
