Mike Sage kept a 27 year old pump running for a couple years at this house. Always was willing to help and understood what it means to not have a functioning pump for a family. It was time to replace it. He worked in a really confined pump house, fixed previous install errors, cleaned out years of debris out of the pump house and did the install. He's meticulous with his work. His main work is well drilling, but he's really good at the install as well. Couldn't be more pleased with his work and the results. read more

I would not recommend, nor will I use his services in the future. He did actually get the job done, thankfully, as I wasnt sure he was up for the task. But he grossly overcharged me for the work. He spent too much time handling personal issues on the phone, and not enough "get the job done". If he just got stuck in, he could've taken half the time to complete the job. Instead, he stiffed me with an overinflated bill that he simply refused to budge on. In hindsight I should've called a well-rated company, which is what I'll be doing if I need well/pump services in the future. I hope this helps future potential customers. read more

Well pump was pumping but water wasn't reaching the house due to a broken fitting underground. It was very late in the day but since we'd been without water for over 24 hours, Mike fit us in at the end of his workday. He repaired the break, filled in the trench, and serviced the pressure switch and water tank. Quick, efficient, effective and fairly priced. If I need to, I'll definitely call on Mike again. read more

I went with Sage as he was available on short notice. He went through the available irrigation pump / well repair services. He told me that I should get the well diagnosis and to "trust him" that it was worth the $350. I later found out that this money was paying mostly for his expertise and not labor hours. I got very little information about my well, and he flushed out the water. He also forgot to tell me that he charges his $95/hr rate during the diagnosis, so it really cost $500 total. He wasn't able to get my pump primed after his work. He took off some labor costs to give me a break. But he spent a lot of time talking and texting on his phone to family and other customers (more than 1 hour) while he was here, so it wasn't much of a discount. He strongly urged me to replace my shallow well pump with a deep well pump. He gave me a ballpark figure to do the work. I asked him for a parts and labor quote so that there wouldn't be any more financial surprises. He then accused me of digging for the details on the parts so that I could try to do it myself. He must have been overcharging for P&L and got defensive instead of showing me the figures. Needless to say, I didn't use him. Oh, another company came out and found a bad, $10, seal on the pump, changed it out, and had the system going in no time. I'm so glad that I didn't replace my entire system like Sage recommended. read more
