I've done practically everything imaginable for the pain--none of which has helped. I heard about NUCCA and thought it was worth a try. I keep going back which should tell you something. The support staff is delightful! They are helpful, cheery, and just adorable in every way possible. As the practice's first point-of-contact, no improvements need to be made. They are on top of communication and always make sure you know your next appointment and what you may expect from your visit. Dr. Quinn is highly knowledgeable, empathetic, sympathetic, funny, articulate, gentle, and caring. This is one of maybe three doctors I've ever seen that I have no doubt why they do what they do. He exudes genuine care and compassion. If you're a chronic pain sufferer, you know how rare this quality is in a provider. Before you make an appointment, learn about NUCCA. Educating yourself is as important as advocating for yourself! The upper cervical manipulation may seem like it's not ideal for your injury or ailment, but remember everything is connected. I never would have expected that adjusting my Atlas bone would positively affect my lower back--and a few other issues! While the adjustments aren't a cure, and also not wholly effective, I do get relief from them regularly. Don't go into your appointment expecting a miracle. Set your expectations reasonably. I don't expect I will ever be 100% pain-free, so I hope for the best relief Dr. Quinn can provide me, and he hasn't failed me. Be aware that this practice may be out-of-network for your insurance provider and plan accordingly. The out-of-pocket cost isn't bad, relatively speaking. Overall, my experience with 1st Place Chiropractic is favorable and I finally have hope that my pain will be managed. I highly recommend them!

I'm a nurse, and have had chronic migraines since I was 12 year old and occipital neuralgia for the…read morepast 4 years. My migraines would dictate my life and control what I could and could not do. Some days I would be running at 50% being able to go to work but not do my best. Others I was running on fumes and not able to do anything but stay in bed, in a dark room, with ice. When my occipital neuralgia was flared with a migraine, it felt like an icepick was being stabbed into the side of my head repeatedly. Graphic, I know, but it is the horrible truth. My migraines were affecting my job, my graduate school classes, and my social life. I had more bad days than good ones. I've exhausted all the different pharmacological (medication) treatments in treating and preventing migraines with little luck. I've tried a boat load of different devices, nerve stimulators, essential oils, different pillows, you name it, I tried it if it promised headache and migraine relief. I was referred by my Neurologist to see Dr Kleinfelter, who she had heard of through another patient, and she said to give it a shot. As a nurse I was VERY skeptical of NUCCA treatment. I had the attitude of, "How is making sure my spine is aligned going to cure something I've had for 19 years of my life?" I gave it a shot because nothing else seemed to work, worse case scenario, I could at least say I gave it a shot. My consultation showed that I was misaligned, the X-rays confirmed it. A week later I received my first alignment. After my alignment, I felt fine, didn't notice a difference. Left the office feeling like nothing changed and that I probably wasted money. That same night, I had the worst migraine I had in a LONG time (and that's saying something). Everything I did made my head feel like it was going to explode. After a few days of having a horrible migraine, I woke up and felt well rested, and energized. I have not woke up feeling well rested in years! I always felt tired no matter how much or how little I slept. Fast forward three months, and here we are. My migraines have dramatically decreased, my occipital neuralgia is almost nonexistent. NUCCA has changed my life. I know when I'm out of alignment now, things just feel off, and if I do not correct it, headaches start occurring more and my nerve pain ramps up. I have a quality of life back. I'm better rested, in less pain, and only using Botox and Ajovy to control my migraines. A big change considering I used to take up to 8 different medications a day to try and keep them under control, with little relief being provided. I went from a skeptical nonbeliever to someone who would recommend this to anyone that is experiencing pain, chronic fatigue, and just a sense of feeling off. The worse that can happen is you can go in for a consultation to find out you're not exhibiting symptoms of a upper cervical misalignment. On the other hand, you could be told that you are, get treated, and change your health and overall wellbeing! Thank you to Dr Kleinfelter, Dr Leigh, and Dr Gill. These three wonderful doctors and Christine have made things so much better for me, and I wish I had known about NUCCA treatment earlier!

The business is in a strip mall, unassuming and doesn't pander to luxury. But my massage was in a quiet, well equipped room, dimly lit, and exceedingly comfortable. Therapeutic massage can touch deep along the spine and wake up nerves and muscles that don't want to unkink! It can hurt but in a masochistic, it'll make you better kind of way. My masseuse gradually worked the kinks out and repeatedly communicated about my comfort level. This is rejuvenating! Try it!
