They also welcomed another couple out from the end of their massage and were super chatty with them so we had to wait a little bit which wasn't a big deal. We decided to do a joint couples 60-min deep tissue massage. I felt like my experience was very positive with Michelle - she got into all the nooks and crannies that I desperately needed worked out and it was an overall very positive experience for me. However, my husband didn't feel like his massage was as deep tissue as he would like. He was asked if the pressure was good and he did ask for it firmer but he said that after 30 seconds, the pressure went back to the same and that it just felt like a full body rub down instead of true deep tissue work. Overall the space is nice, it was very relaxing and calming and I felt satisfied but I was disappointed to leave and to have my husband feel like he didn't really get a good massage or experience.

Katie was intentional with our time together and we talked a bit about my journey through pregnancy and postpartum and, ultimately, what I was hoping to get out of our session. I received her customized treatment which included: Abhyangha, Kati Bast, and Shirodhara Abhyangha - Incredible. So comfortable and relaxing. More than a massage, it really brought my whole body to a place of peace. After having my hormones rearrange my body for months, this really felt like it has set my bones back to a better place. I'm still feeing the good effects of this weeks later. Kati Bast - Katie arranged this specifically to help with my hips and lower back, which have been my biggest trouble spots for aches and pain since my third trimester. In the weeks since, I'm able to get up much more easily and it's helped ease my body back into light workouts. Shirodhara - Did not expect to love this so much. I was honestly worried that this would be wasted on me but it was the most grounding/transcendent experience of all. There's something about not being able to see (being forced to only feel) the oil that took me out of my body while keeping me focused on one single thing. If you're on the fence, definitely give it a shot. As part of my package, Katie also provided some additional oil for me to use during my own self-massage and grounding rituals, along with an amazing bath soak, directions on how to use and some reasonable tips for daily rituals I can incorporate into my own routine. Katie is a great guide. Her knowledge is deep and her support is genuine. I cannot wait to try her face sculpting and to learn more about diet on my journey.

Before the appointment I filled out a questionnaire, and when my appointment started, Katie had about twenty minutes of follow up questions and she did a wonderful job explaining what Ayurveda is. She is extremely knowledgeable and had great insights and advice for several health issues (GERD among them) which I had brought up. The services were terrific. And I left the appointment with a unique tea and some natural pills to help address the potential root causes of several of my health issues. I'm so happy my wife made this appointment for the two of us (separate appointments -- we each spent about 2 hours with Katie 1-on-1) and feel great with the work that was done and the information she imparted. I will be closely monitoring changes in my health for the coming weeks and months to see what greater effects are apparent and plan on discussing with Katie as she has already reached out to continue to monitor and track my progress. I left a pair of sunglasses at the spa and informed them that I would return to pick them up after I had recurve a call or text that I had left them behind. As I was traveling for a few weeks. When I finally had a chance to stop by I was face with disregard, then I finally called since I didn't hear from the owner about a month later, I was told they had been discarded. Unfortunately, there was no notice given, and the conversation felt more argumentative than understanding. These sunglasses were sentimental to me, and while I understand that businesses may have policies, I was disappointed by the lack of care and communication around a client's personal belongings. This experience affected my trust and overall impression of customer care. A month is not enough to trow customer belongings away without calling them first and assuring that they'll stop by to pick them up and assume that they'll just be forgotten. This is not so much about the sentimental value of the sunglasses but about being respected and treated with dignity. I hate to have to leave a bad review for them as is sometimes I almost never like to do but given her mannerism and demeanor I cat let this happen to another person and to our community.
