    Passion fruit margarita

We come here every time we are in Tulum. Beautiful ambiance and even better food. 5 stars.

Passion Fruit rum drink and margarita and little plate of chips/cream cheese (gratis!)

A pit stop at this beautiful resort on our way back from Tulum to the Cancun airport. My fiancé almost booked this hotel for our stay; we ended up staying in the heart of Tulum instead. We wanted to have a cocktail by the ocean and were so impressed with the hotel décor and staff. I ordered a rum drink with passion fruit and it had some heat: habanero. My amazing fiancé had a margarita. The small but generous gesture by our server convinced us to order a second round. He brought us tray of chips and spiced cream cheese - that was so thoughtful. The drink was one of the BEST I have ever had tasted - seriously, this had fresh passion fruit and was so well balanced.

View from our dinner table. Majestic.

This was such a delicious meal!! Their goat cheese and cream cheese dip was amazing! Homemade gnocchi, lobster ravioli, spinach and ricotta ravioli, and shrimp with mojo de ajo were fabulous! We also started with their tzatziki sauce and it was delicious! Definitely recommend! And Daniel was such a sweet server!

We only stopped for drinks after a walk on the beach. This is a very nice place and priced accordingly. The wait staff was cordial.

A laid back wood fired pizza spot with a super cool, relaxed ambience and the friendliest energy. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and honestly I've never had anything like it. It's insanely good. Pair it with their habanero sauce and jalapeños and it is literally fire. Perfectly cooked, bold flavor, unforgettable. We also ordered the Caprese with apples, almonds, and beets and wow. Such a fresh and different take on a salad. Every ingredient tasted so clean and vibrant. My tummy was genuinely happy after this meal, which says a lot. It's not far from where we're staying near Azulik, which made it even better. The vibe is effortless, chill, and welcoming. Bonus points for the two local cats, who are absolutely adorable and add so much charm to the place. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the menu has so many choices that there is truly something for everyone. If pizza is your love language and you're anywhere near Tulum, Boccanera is a must visit.

We put our name on a list, but no phone number was given so really it's a wait for a table or come back type of situation. We ended up leaving and coming back 40 mins later and were sat quickly outside. The pizzas are OUTSTANDING! I think the reviews all say that and it's the truth. The crust is Neapolitan style thinner crust but the flavor is just spot on! The toppings and sauce are well balanced. The roasted chicken was a great addition to the vegetarian. If they made cheese sticks with a marinara sauce with that crust it would be a HUGE seller! The green salad was pretty standard and not much that was memorable or forgettable, just good and as expected. Unfortunately, the bruschetta was a huge let down -- we literally received halved cherry tomatoes on a piece of bread. They served it with olive oil to drizzle, but that did not even come close to what we expected. There are a few cats that roam the outside patio, but they don't bother you much. The staff was welcoming and we had good conversation with the server even for it being 20 mins before they closed.

One of the few restaurants that had a range of desserts. They had chocolate cake, flan and tres leches. The flan was the best by far. The carafe of margaritas were pretty large. They now have a beautiful space on the west side of the the highway about half way from Akumal to Tulum. The restaurant is clean and open. They a a nice garden area courtyard as well. The staff is attentive and efficient. Virginia the hostess was absolutely amazing and friendly. Her family has owned the business for decades. Our waiter was Alfredo who was excellent. All the food was well prepared and presented nicely. Everything we had was delicious. It's definitely aimed a bit more for the North American palette but this does not mean it wasn't really good because it was. Cocktails were made with fresh fruit juices and were top notch. I highly recommend Oscar & Lalo to anyone who is staying in the area or passing by to or from Tulum.
