I ordered the chicken biryani, extra spicy. A star for the chicken, rice & spice, but since there were no cashews or sultanas, they don't get those stars. Their Naan was a bit dry & overcooked. & not very garlicy at all. Their raita is very runny. Like they forgot to get the water out of the cucumber first. Their Mango lassi was also watered down. While the spice was great & very nice to find from an americanized establishment, a biryani missing half the ingredients can't be excused. Especially when your own description says that it is made with "nuts and raisins".

    Special Mixed Grill

This place is a rip off. If you really want to serve people authentic food, don't mix meat and rice and call it biryani when the customer can clearly tell from the taste that it's plain left over meat mixed with pulao rice. Mixed grill meat smelled and tasted old. Is there any honesty left in the world? We paid $50.54 to get this mean to feed our kids from a long trip and everyone went to sleep hungry because this was the meal we could afford. If I could report this business, I would for serving food that's absolutely trash and shouldn't be fed to people. It's disgusting, old, cold. Thank you for ruining our dinner,

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. They offer a lunch buffet most days of the week and a dinner buffet Sundays. A great way to try different dishes, especially if you are not familiar with Indian food. Their dishes are very flavorful and I love the chicken chili and mango chicken in particular. They seem to always offer salad, different sauces and chutneys, basmati rice, naan, chicken dishes, a couple vegetarian options, fried pakoras and samosas, golub jamen, and kheer. I have found that Syracuse Indian buffets tend to be more on the medium spice side vs. the Albany area which I would categorize as mild. I think serving mild at a buffet is probably a safer idea if you want to introduce people to your cuisine. The place is nestled in an older plaza. Bathroom is down a darkish hallway and is dark and outdated. There is a tv in the dining area that plays Indian music videos. Today the sound was pretty loud. Some of the videos are not that appropriate for young children. I wish they had it off and just had some music playing. Would make for a nicer dining experience.

Food was edible but not delicious. The only food I would recommend would be the naan. Chicken Tikka was so disappointing and the vegetarian platter was hard.

Interesting mall location. I found it from yelp app. This is only place served lunch buffet on Saturday and also Sunday !! In Syracuse area. Pricing is reasonable and three veggie varieties with veggie appetizer and sweet. Light salad Choice. Value for those who like both chicken and veggie varieties. Taste is not spicy

    Lots of room at lunchtime

She was looking for advice from me, but I was very happy when the owner came by and said he could select our food and we trusted him.He asked us a few questions about spice level, proteins, etc. He said he would bring us an appetizer, a chicken entree and a vegetable entree. He also brought us 2 hot chai drinks. We agreed it was the best chai we've ever had....it was mildly sweet and the spices were perfect. We were brought as an appetizer...fried cauliflower with a Manchurian sauce which was sweet, mildly spicy and a touch sour..... perfect. We got 4 beautiful veggie balls..... finely minced veggies with paneer in a very creamy sauce. The taste was a little sweet and when eaten on the super hot and fresh naan it was delicious. Our last dish was chicken kebabs, I believe made in the tandoori oven with spices and served with a beautiful sweet, creamy tomato sauce. We didn't ask for dessert but we're brought a complementary rice pudding to share... heavenly! We were checked on several times and water glasses were kept filled. We are both big water drinkers. I was so impressed with both service and food. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would do it!!

After taking some neighborhood streets, we arrived at the location and parked in their small lot. There was room for perhaps for 6-7 cars. Each space was labeled for whether it was for the restaurant or not. Entering, we were greeted and seated. We had about 1 hour and 14 minutes before boarding, so the staff were very accommodating and pointed out what could be made quickly (basically everything except their tandoori). They also answered questions about gluten. We ended up getting aloo tikki chaat and a lamb shank masala. They provided chickpea flour crisps with mint-cilantro and tamarind chutney. They also brought us their complimentary chai tea, which was very nice and satisfying. Their chaat was well-balanced, gluten-free (the crispies are made with chickpea flour), and it had pomengranate, chickpeas, and potatoes. The pile was dressed with yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney. Their lamb shank masala came bone-in with the curry sauce surrounding it. The lamb was well cooked, and mostly moist and tender, though there were parts that were dry. Both dishes were well-adorned, which was a nice touch. Best of all, however, was how exemplary all the staff were at the restaurant. They exuded a wonderful calmness and hospitality. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Syracuse.

A menu full of takes on classic American fare run through a different flavor profile, and it maintains the large and excellent beer selection of this spaces previous tenant. Take their menu, full of fusion into dishes like their garbage plate and flatbreads that feel unique in this area and still fit the expectation of the originals. Then there is the occasional misfire, like the vindaloo cheesesteak that looks like some premade microwaved slices on a bad roll. This has been pretty good, but if you find something like the cheesesteak, try something else. That's the weird part, for a place with excellent service, an amazing selection of beers, and an experience which places it well above other Destiny locations like Bullfinch and other generic options in the new expansion (it should always be a bad sign for a site when Cheesecake Factory is in the short list of better options to eat at like Karma and the wildly overrated Bullfinch); it needs to have a solid menu top to bottom, don't make us find out what things are crap. It's tough enough to handle the noise in there even when it isn't busy. Overall, really good spot, but a few changes to remove the dead matter will make this the only option in Destiny worth anything. ANYTHING. The nachos were good heaped with fresh ingredients including pickled onions and avocado ranch, the queso had some type of spice giving it a mustard like taste. I forgot to add the chicken! Service was good but on the slow side. Love the lively electric decor! I attended a Yelp event previously with Syracuse Trivia that was tons of fun! So, they called me and instead of stopping on my way home, I wasted some time until the food was ready. As for the food, it was very good. I ordered the lamb saag which came with rice. It's been awhile since we've sat in the restaurant but whenever we do it's always a great experience. Take-out is a different story. When we've ordered on GrubHub we never get a notification stating the food is ready so we just go a little after the specified time it's expected to be ready. I don't know how orders come in from GrubHub but it seems like they don't always see them. There have been numerous times when the food isn't ready and based on the extensive time we have to wait to get the food it it's clear they hadn't even seen the order come in. This certainly isn't every time but it's happened multiple times. Recently we tried using GrubHub and but were having issues with spotty wifi so we called it in instead. They said we could pay when we arrived. I was quite shocked that the order which totaled $40 on Grubhub rang up as $53 in person (see receipts attached). I stated my surprise but their response was to try DoorDash instead next time. If you compare the receipts each main dish rang up about $2 more expensive in person than it did on Grubhub and each appetizer or dessert was $3 more. The quantity of food we received was no different than when we order via Grubhub and when called out for this I would have expected a better response. So if you're interested in picking up take out, NEVER order direct. But if you order through a third party always call to check the food is ready before picking it up so you don't waste your time waiting.

I later called the delivery service and they refunded me, no hassle, but still, this was a major bummer. I was really looking forward to this meal so it was a bummer that it wasn't what I was expecting, and there seemed to be no attempt at contact. Most notably, they serve a lunch buffet during the week that costs less than $13 and is bar none the best value for your money. I often partake in the take-out buffet during the weekdays and can't deny that its the best option for when I am really hungry and want a satisfying meal. The staff are associated with other well known Indian restaurants in the area (The Clay Oven and the Dosa Grill to name a couple) as denoted by their various polo shirts with the named establishments screen printed on the chest. On various days, I have experienced questionable attitudes from the wait staff but, most of time, I don't dine-in so my experience in this regard is not very reliable. But, be forewarned that some previous reviews have criticized the customer service of the staff and called it into question on more than a few occasions. The buffet has a wide variety of options available and they try to mix up the entrees beyond the usual Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and Tandoori Chicken. On Fridays, they sometimes serve Fish Masala which is a personal favorite of mine. There are also a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options as well beyond the salad bar. In fact, if you ever consider converting to a vegetarian diet, Indian cuisine is the way to go. The variety of options consisting of chick peas, cabbage, cauliflower, potatoes, eggplant, okra, lentils and cheese are so expertly prepared with herbs and spices that make any traditional Indian dishes absolutely delicious. If you are new to Indian cuisine you can feel confident in the knowledge that the spice levels are very mild (unless you specifically request a certain level of spiciness). Overall, its a great and affordable experience for any foodie who enjoys fragrant cuisine highlighted by herbs and spices that aren't overbearing. The buffet is all-you-can-eat and the to-go option is very filling. This is my go-to option for anytime I am famished and just want something delicious that always leaves me satisfied. You owe it to yourself to try this out. And the price point will never disappoint. What have you got to lose?
