I was searching for a guitar guy to re-fret my Ibanez JS1200. If you have a guitar that needs…read morework, this is the guy to use! His attention to detail is unmatched in this current business strategy. High communication during the re-fret process, with clear descriptions and many photos. I will trust all my guitars with Robert. I've been playing that guitar for a while now (JS1200 from 2006, autographed and drawn on by Joe Satriani; I asked him to draw something on the front of the headstock and autograph the back of the headstock; whom I met pre-show in Dallas) and I wore the frets out! I had the neck truss turned, the bridge raised, just to make it playable. I got it back from Robert and the neck was arrow straight, the bridge reset and the frets! The frets were smooth and the edges/ends were rounded and very easy to play. The fret work is amazing. They are such a great clean job that I find myself playing this JS1200 more than my other guitars, again! Like an old friend coming home. Robert also did above that which was asked, he oiled the scratchy pots and cleaned the board and body. The care taken to repackage it for shipping is something others need to learn from. He was aware that the sharpie wasn't the best for drawing on the headstock, and he took great care not to touch either the autograph or the drawing. This was a couple months ago, and I wanted to play the guitar for a while to get a feel for it. The cost was very fair. I will send my guitars to Robert every time!

I called ahead to ask if I can bring in my trumpet for an estimate for services. 2. I got there, got an estimate for services. I was also informed that I would be notified if the cost would be greater. 3. I did get a phone call that the trumpet for the most part was done but there were other issues (which I knew existed when I first had it over two decades ago) which could be resolved but it'd cost extra. I agreed to it. I figured if I'm going to get it serviced, I should just pay to get it serviced in full and the right way. The communications were timely and transparent. Looking around the place reminds you of a music store Mr. Rogers would have visited. I'm happy there is a brick-and-mortar shop that still performs this craft of repairing instruments. Also, out of all the years I've played this old Yamaha trumpet, it never played so great as it does now. It pays to have a professional service. Of note, best time to go here is in the morning if you drive because there's a good chance you'll find free 2 hour parking.

It was confusing because the address indicates a restaurant so you have to walk to the back of the restaurant and look for a gate that takes you into an enclosed garden-like area with prayer flags and lights. Inside t space was very comfortable: the temperature was comfortable with more than a dozen mats neatly laid out and prepared for guests. We were invited to be cleared with Rosewater spritz and feather energy. It was very intentionally and thoroughly done like an initiation into the space. It helped us feel like we had arrived and could be very present to ourselves in the space. When everyone had arrived we were oriented to the kinds of sounds we might experience as well as the state of mind, everything from moving into it transported space to falling asleep as, she pointed out, it is sometimes the thing we need the most. We were not rushed, we were invited to write our intentions. When she began, Karen was very skillful at making the Crystal bowls sing. For an hour we were transporte.
