Overall a very good experience. I found Stage 7 through Yelp / Google and was impressed with their reviews. I decided to check them out, emailed their owner Ken and I set up a time to meet their Sales person - Yelena. Yelena was very nice to play a number of pianos for me and we finalized on one and She gave me a good price (We did go to and forth a bit, but in the end She gave me a great deal). Before I came here, I checked other stores in Bellevue for pianos and their prices was almost 30% more (maybe because of the high Bellevue rent). Delivery was smooth and they always kept me updated. I am thankful to Yelp and Google for helping me find Stage 7. I would strongly recommend anybody buying a piano to go buy in Stage 7. Also during the sale when I was browsing, I felt no pressure to buy a specific piano. Yelena gave me her feedback and left me to decide. In addition I did check with another Customer on the store and it did match the feedback given by Yelena. When I upgrade, I will go back to Stage 7 and upgrade. I wish I had known the problems I and others would have with Stage7pianos consignment. Everything that came out of Kenn's mouth was a lie, for a year and a half. When it was sold, first the lies continued by not informing me of the sale, then on receiving the money, 2 months of lies waiting to be paid. Kenn used every dirty lie in the book. We walked in on a summer morning when they had the summer special sale even, and were immediately greeted by Kenn. In the two hours that we spent there we played several pianos and learned about pianos, their values, maintenance and other matters more than we had learned over many years. Kenn helped us narrow down our selection to the right choice for our needs and we later had our piano teacher test drive them. The pianos are carefully and meticulously serviced/restored ready for the new home. They are reasonably priced as well. Contacted Kenn for a quote to move an upright piano from Bellevue to Kirkland and dispose of an old spinet. Pretty easy move given that one building had an elevator and my house has no steps. Kenn quoted 250$ to deliver and additional 100$ to dispose. I gave all the info needed and a phone number so that the crew can get to the pickup location and call in case they need to. On the day of the move, the moving crew came in late and was subsequently late for their next delivery and Kenn asked me to pay additional 50$ because of that. When I declined (since I see no fault of mine for the lateness), he texted me that he will "remember the 50$". We were going to hire their tuning person also in few weeks, but it's not a good business practice to threaten their customers! Kenn, we originally took the old spinet from your store and paid 200$ delivery even though we are less then 1 mile away and gave you our business again today but no more! Will call Northwest Pianos instead where the people are pleasant and don't try to extort additional money from you on the day of the move. read more

I highly recommend going to Stage7pianos if you are looking for an used Steinway. They have one of the best selections of used/refinished/restored Steinways in the town. My daughter has been playing piano for 6 yrs, and we feel it is time for her to upgrade from an Upright to a Grand piano. We have been visiting many piano stores in the area, and finally decided on the Model B from S7, and we couldn't be happier. Kenn the owner has been very helpful and educational to assist our search within our budget. He patiently showed us the few used Steinway in his store, and explained to us where were they come from , and what has been restored or refinished. We found one that we like and then hired a professional technician to inspect the piano. The whole process has been smooth including delivery. Five star for S7! Good easy experience buying my piano, quick delivery, but the advertised 'free in-home tuning' is a bait-and-switch --- they'll only do it in the first three months, and not mention this anywhere on their website or in the paperwork. In my case I bought my piano right before coronavirus and I wasn't going to let anyone into my house in the early days before we were even wearing masks or knew how it spread. Significant doubt that they would honor any warranty claim after this too. Would not do business again. read more

I wish there were NO STARS! I am moving out of the country and Kenn (owner of Stage 7 Pianos) committed to purchasing my piano for cash after my house sold. This was about 6-8 weeks ago. Once the house sold, I contacted him and made an arrangement to come and pick up the piano. At no time was there any indication that he would not purchase it. When his crew got to my home, they wanted to take the piano without paying me. I talked to Kenn at that time and he 'forgot' that he agreed to pay me cash instead of consignment. He assured me that he would still purchase the piano for the agreed upon price and would reschedule to pick up the piano. The next day, I sent an email to him confirming that he was going to purchase the piano. He immediately responded and confirmed. Since then, I have left many voice mail messages, email messages and text messages with absolutely no response. I would have expected the courtesy to at least let me know if he either couldn't raise the money or changed his mind. My bad for not asking for a deposit! I am now scrambling to find someone to purchase my wonderful piano quickly. I am more than happy to answer any questions anyone has about this company and Kenn. read more

Great experience! Needed to relocate piano from basement floor to the living room upstairs. Last time it took 6 buddies of mine, they were all whining for another month and I didn't dare to call them again. Good idea because Stage 7 Pianos managed to help me with 2 wizards of moving, that did the whole thing in 15 mins and gave me a lot of great advice on follow up tuning and repairs. Great store and great people. I had scheduled an appointment and they had just moved so Kenn sent me detailed instructions on how to get there. My daughter went with me but entered in the wrong address on the GPS and we ended up going to their old store. We were waiting there when Kenn called me to see where we were. When we finally got to the right place, Kenn was very helpfull. I asked him to play for us on the pianos we were interested in and I just wanted to listen. I had a lot of comments and questions and he was patiently answering them all. They had so my choices and the prices are also very reasonable. I just love looking at the pianos on their website. We ended up purchasing the perfect used piano for our family. It was just delivered yesterday by a professional piano moving company they had recommended. They placed it in the perfect spot for us and it plays beautifully. I love it and my family loves it too. I can't stop raving about it. Even my husband is happy. I know it will be a cherished new addition to our house. I know a friend who purchased theirs on craigslist for very cheap a while back. She said it needs maintenance and tuning, which she estimates will cost her at least $600. If she had purchased hers at Stage 7 Pianos, she would not have had that problem. You should definitely check this place out if you're looking for a piano because they have a wide variety of pianos for all budgets. There were many I was afraid to even walk near because the price was so high and others that were very budget friendly. I would definitely call ahead to make sure it's not a recital day before coming to look for a piano, though. We walked in and it was several minutes before anyone came to talk to us, which was a little akward. I really just wanted to sit and play the ones in my price range instead of wandering and hoping for some assistance. We drove over an hour to get here, and could barely hear the pianos because of someone else practicing. Another piano we wanted to look at was in use in a piano lesson. We wound up needing to make a second trip over to really hear well and test them out. We wound up purchasing somewhere else, but you just might find what you're looking for here if you know what you want. read more

Although I did not end up buying a piano with this store, I was so impressed with the service and attention given to me by the owner, Kenn, that I wanted to make sure others knew about this place. They specialize in used and refurbished pianos, but I believe they also sell new ones. Kenn had a very large selection of all brands of pianos including older uprights. There are consoles, uprights, baby grands and grand pianos. I was allowed to freely try all of the pianos and as I had questions, Kenn was able to spend time explaining many aspects of various models and types. He had three sets of customers in the store, but was attentive to all of us. I used the information he shared with me to purchase a used piano at another store that was different than what he currently had in stock. However, I think this would be the best place to start your search. His prices were excellent, and being a musician himself, he had a very good understanding of the instrument! I came into this warehouse space with my son after speaking with Tom on the phone who knew I was dropping by to look at a baby grand Yamaha that was manufactured in 2009. They were having their spring special which was free piano moving with a purchase. When we came in there was nobody to greet us for a full ten minutes so we milled around and visited with the pianos on the showroom floor. I called the office line and nobody answered despite voices and laughter coming from a back room. They were playing and talking to their dog which I could clearly hear. I finally had to walk back there and ask them if someone was available to assist us and when they saw me there was oddly no apology or greeting or even a smile which I thought was strange. I reminded them that I spoke to a tom and only then did tom introduce himself. It took about fifteen minutes of looking at and playing the baby grand to decide I was going to purchase it and Tom told me he and his partner who was the owner would take off the tax if I went ahead and paid for the piano moving myself which was their spring special as aforementioned. I agreed but I thought it was odd that they agreed to take off tax instead of the moving since tax would've been undoubtedly much more. It felt off to me but I was happy that they were willing to give me a good deal despite not taking anything off the ticket price for the piano itself which I paid a hefty 7,000.00 for up front and out of pocket. This is a bit pricy when factoring in piano moving which is usually a courtesy and for a used piano from 2009. However, I felt it was worth it because it was guaranteed to be made in Japan since it was a Yamaha baby grand with all corresponding parts and brochures detailing so. I knew Yamaha upright pianos were made in other Asian countries like Indonesia but Tom assured me that my Yamaha was made in japan. It was only after it was moved into my home that I saw the made in Indonesia sticker which was right there on the left side of the baby grand! To make matters worse, the movers from pro piano move ( a guy named helge who had been working with stage 7 pianos for many years ) had brought two other guys to help move this piano and who were not courteous at all about having to place down blankets or remove their shoes in my home. I felt disrespected in my own home! One of the movers was so immature and unprofessional that he was snickering and giggling in my direction the entire time he was in my home. I had newly laid carpet so I wanted to make sure they respected that and did something to ensure my home wouldn't be sullied while they were carrying out their service. But they really did not appreciate asking to either wear booties over their shoes, take off their shoes, or put down the sheets that they had brought specifically for that purpose. I was appalled that anyone doing a paid service would be rude to a customer in their own home. It was so beyond reproach that I just waited until they left to inspect my piano and I actually moved it a bit myself to position it better. I felt uncomfortable asking them to do so after the way they reacted when asked to take off their shoes. Finally, one of the movers declined my credit card and asked me to provide a check or cash and because I hadn't gone to the bank yet and my last check in my checkbook had been used ( I just closed in a new house recently and had written so many checks that I just needed to reorder), the mover seemed understanding and made me sign a slip saying I owed them 200.00 which I readily agreed to. I told them that if it was easier, I would either have them bill me or bill stage 7 pianos since I can also drop back there to pay in person. Whatever would be easier. The mover agreed and left. Days later, Tom from stage 7 called and without even a proper hello or how are you enjoying your new piano, he immediately told me that he was billed by the movers and that I should've paid them directly. Even when I explained that I was ready to pay with card, tom went on in a heated fashion that I would lose my free tunings from stage 7 pianos. After he said that, I told him not to contact me again and to let the movers contact me directly for payment. I also told him I was fine with relinquishing my free tunings because I felt that it was stupendously shocking to receive such treatment when I just dropped 7,000.00 on their business and they were going to threaten me with no free tunings just because I couldn't use a credit card to pay immediately for a 200 dollar moving few which was a courtesy anyway? I was already upset that the movers were so unprofessional and that the piano had a made in Indonesia sticker on it but this phone call pushed me over the edge to write this review. A word to the wise, Tom, if you ever read this, don't jump immediately to wrong conclusions and use threats on customers who spend Thousands of dollars on your used pianos. It is a good way to earn a negative online review. read more

They have a range of different pianos from starter to high end. I found lots of Yamaha pianos that's much more reasonably priced than some other store in town, perhaps Bellevue just mean expensive these days. (I compared the price to online price of other states) I also tried some other brands I have not heard of, but overall i think this is a must go if you are looking for a piano. read more

Great store! The store owner, Kenn, had tuned my piano wonderfully and gave me a very reasonable price. Aside from the tuning, they have very nice and beautiful pianos with reasonable pricing as well. The staff are very nice and know what they are talking about. The store owner is a very nice man with a great passion for music and pianos. In the stage room, they have the pianos they are selling and they have a nice stage set up I believe can be used for many different types of performances. I will recommend Stage 7 to anyone looking for any help that has to do with pianos and I plan on coming here with any more piano help I need as well. read more

Kenn Wildes the owner of Stage 7 Pianos in Kirkland , WA did NOT honor a free tuning with my piano as promised. He put me off then told me it was to late.... Then after agreeing on a half price tuning he put me off for another year. We finally came to an agreement of a scheduled time for him to come and tune my piano in December of 2015 and he didn't show up. I then rescheduled it for today even reminding him by email and once again he didn't show up. He damaged our floor when he originally moved the piano in here. We had to cut out and replace a piece of hardwood flooring due to his negligence. Do yourself a favor and find a much more reputable company and person to work with. This review deserves 0 stars not 1. Kenn Wildes will be billed for my time and he should pay me damages for the flooring I had to replace. read more
