tried this place since it's one of the few asian spots in temple but it was a little disappointing. i would be convinced to try it again but different dishes and try to find the better dishes. i tried the mongolian beef. the serving size was small and it was mainly vegetables. but my friend got the general tao's chicken and it looked a lot better of a dish. read more

They also said anyone who doesn't try it is missing out... wish I would have gone with the Vietnamese dishes. Everything tasted fresh. The sauce for the orange chicken had little to no flavor. The cheese puffs were ok, I wouldn't order them again. The egg roll was a little better. Fresh, crunchy and good flavor. The dipping sauce, not so good. The shrimp were super over cooked. Barely had any flavor and the texture was very tough. Crunchy outside shell though. The dumplings were not the best and the dipping sauce also not good. We ordered Pho to share and cream cheese wontons. Service was great, 4 stars! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Pho was decent, 3 stars. It was a large portion! The kitchen was gracious enough to split it into 2 bowls since we were sharing. And we still had leftovers! I wish we had more sprouts and cilantro on the side. I added Hoisin, soy sauce, and Sriracha. My mom added Jalapeños and Sriracha. Pretty good flavor when we added the sauces. The chicken wasn't the best quality, lots of fat that wasn't trimmed off. The cheese puffs were 2 stars. Nice crunch but simple. They are like crab rangoon minus the crab. read more

Great place for a variety of food. We had the pad Thai which was very good. The Hot and Sour Swas totally awesome! I think my favorite was the Garlic Chicken! We also had Bun Bo Nuong Cha Gio! So this is a hidden gem in Temple!!! For the central Texas area this is my first time trying Malaysian food and it was called the Mala Delight on the lunch special and it was sweet and spicy!!! Their lunch special comes with fried rice and soup and I got the hot and sour soup and the best one I had in a LONG TIME!! Even their sweet and sour sauce was good but u have to ask for it for your egg roll and the chili oil is upon request which I get it!!! Times are hard and everything isn't cheap so I wouldn't want people wasting it. My uncle got the won ton soup and he said it tastes fresh also!!! I got the schezuan chicken which was good too but if I had to pick I would have just got what my uncle got and that's the Mala delights!!! The jalapeños in it were cooked good and spicy and fresh which I love also!!! I hate undercooked jalapeños!!! They have Chinese food and Vietnamese food also but next time I'm gonna try another Malaysian dish maybe the chili crabs that I seen they look good too!!! The lunch special looked appealing, which comes with white or fried rice, a meat dish, an egg roll, and a bowl of soup for a good deal. Some of my friends got it, but I didn't choose it because I wanted to have some vegetables in my meal. I chose the rice noodle with pork, which was okay, and it tasted better as leftovers. My friend got the pad thai and didn't like it very much. They have good service here, but I think the food is too westernized for my liking. The prices are good, and they give you sooooo much food. I am retired, and because of my health, I am basically "home bound". My friends and helpers love to bring me food from Saigon Cafe. Sometimes I drive with them and stay in the car while they run in and get the food - they always help my friend carry out the food to the car. Our favorite is the Pepper Steak lunch special, because you get soup and an egg roll with it. The taste and seasoning is spot on. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I'm guilty of staying in my comfort zone for the most part, but when we've strayed, we've enjoyed everything we've sampled. Wife and I eat here 1-2 times per month and get delivery 1x per 3 months. We love it. I have been working my way through the non-spicy foods on the menu and everything has been perfect, with large portions. I love the pickled cabbage that accompanies the Lemongrass Beef. The food is consistently good. Wife loves the Pho. Unfortunately, I am HIGHLY allergic to MSG. I am sick as a dog within 15 minutes of eating it and it is not fun. They are careful not to give me MSG and have always told me to stay away from the soups. Once when I needed soup they made a from-scratch vegetable broth that was amazing, and I did not get sick. While the ambiance is a little dated, and the outside a little worrisome, the inside is clean, including the restrooms. We are regular customers now and will eat there next week! read more

This is our stop when we are in doubt. Don't let the unmarked building deter you. There's plenty of seating inside for big family and small family dining. We see the same welcoming faces running this place. Their menu has so much variety it can seem overwhelming. Their Asian flavors range from Vietnamese, Malaysian, Chinese which includes Hunan, Mongolian, Szechuan...I might be missing a couple. However everything we've tried has been deliciously satisfying! The food is cooked fresh and aromatic. We have our faves of course, like fried egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce; always fried evenly and perfectly. The interior has mood lighting. Just kidding it's a little dim but pleasant cuz it makes your meal feel private. We're sure to dine here again since this was the restaurant we had a cozy rainy day meal. Its so hit and miss here. Today I thought I would try something new. Singapore Rice noodles. It says a curry sauce and spicy. There was zero spice, just a hint of curry. The pork was terribly dry and the chicken tasted old. The rice noodles were way over cooked and just mush. Big fail today. read more

I went in to try this place because I was really craving Chinese. I order the sweet and sour pork, shrimp with walnuts, sesame chicken, calamari, and tiramisu. The calamari just needed some sauce to go with it. The walnut shrimp is a must try. There tiramisu was fantastic. The two other two dishes were safe fall backs but were also very yummy. I am no longer getting food from here. Over this past year the quality has declined. They no longer put meat in their wontons and at times I have found a hair or piece of plastic my food. And finally today I received rotten fried rice. I've tried this place on several occasions, but I draw the line at food that is prepared improperly. It's disappointing. read more

Again I was disappointed with the appetizer and entree I ordered. The Vietnamese spring rolls fell apart when picked up and were sloppily rolled and hard to eat. The peanut sauce was watery. The Beef with Asparagus consisted of good beef with horrible woody shreds of asparagus spears, but NOT ONE SINGLE TIP. Previously when I have ordered this dish, it was beef with asparagus tips, not woody hard to chew stems. I will probably not order from this restaurant for a while to get over the disappointment. Expect to pay more WITHOUT your knowledge!! We felt scammed. I've been here several times over the past few years, even though I prefer La Dalat Vietnamese restaurant downtown. It was closed though, unfortunately. The food was ok 5/10. When we got our bill, every item we ordered was at least $1-3 more than the price listed on the menu. We questioned the waitress about the charges. She pointed to a tiny sticker on the top right hand corner of the menu stating that some prices will increase. She did not point this out, nor did she advise us of the price increase in all 4 items we ordered, when we ordered. All of the prices were OLD prices! I asked her why the prices on the menu did not reflect the actual prices and she stated that "the prices change every month and we can't afford to print new menus" WHAT????? She advised us that "nobody else complains." I get that restaurants have suffered, and that's why I always choose local over chain restaurants, but this is NOT how businesses should operate if they want to stay open. I'm willing to pay a little more to help out a struggling restaurant, if I know upfront what I'm going to pay. This is not ok and it is highly unethical. We will not be back. read more
