First time trying out this place. It was packed, which we thought was a good sign. They have boba and poke shop in the same restaurant. Easy access off the highway. This place is a combination of an Asian noodle restaurant and bubble tea shop (with Poke). The two places are connected but you order each separately. The noodle restaurant is big with many tables. There are a lot of options on the menu. Service is basic but adequate and friendly enough but not overly chatty. The steamed buns are very tasty. Highly recommend. We were pleased with both dishes. We got stir fried noodle with shrimp and crispy pork noodle soup. I wish the boiled egg had a softer yolk. Shrimp was slightly overcooked. At first the pork did not look appetizing but when you put it in the soup it is so good! There are different styles of noodles to choose from so the pictures are helpful. I have no idea whether the two businesses are owned by the same person or they are just "roommates". The poke looked interesting - but we went with the noodles. Nothing extraordinary but totally respectable. My wife loved her dry noodles with vegetables. I went with a spicy beef noodle soup. Actually I think they have one and only one noodle soup which they modify by changing what ingredients get put in at the last minute There may be a second or third broth pot somewhere. The broth is no great shakes - which is the first thing you taste for at an Asian noodle house. But the solid ingredients were just fine. The noodles themselves are made in house. They are perfectly lovely. The beef cubes were not at all fatty and not at all gristly. Someone spent significant money to put in top quality meat ... Which is something you don't always see in noodle shops. The vegetables were interesting and nicely al dente. Special thumbs up on the mushrooms. One nuisance factor. Both carrots and meat are in such big chunks, They are hard to get in your mouth. Tender enough to chew with no effort, But I was chewing pieces of meat bigger than a backgammon doubling cube. * * * In great Asian food locations, like the Queens Chinatown in Flushing or in Vancouver in general, King Noodle Asian restaurant would never make it. If I could give this zero stars I would. I have never had worse pho in my life. It was truly terrible. Veggies over cooked. Noodles were like mush. Shrimp was pure rubber and inedible. The broth... oh man. It smelled awful and tasted just as bad as it smelled. I do not understand how you can stay in business with food like that. I got the General Tso's chicken with steamed rice and and order of egg rolls and she got the Mongolian Beef with fried rice. The chicken was very flavorful but was not very crispy. The sauce was was a sweeter version of the norm, but still delicious. My wife loved her dish and I thought maybe it was the best Mongolian beef I'd ever had. We both agreed the rice was very flavorful but was a little dry. The egg rolls were excellent! The had a solid cabbage and meat filling and were quite crispy. This place is relatively new to Temple. I have been there twice now and really am a fan of the stir fried sliced noodles with beef. It has fresh hand-pulled noodles that have a very distinctive chew. The onions and peppers are soft with just a slight bite. The way I like them! Raw taste cooked out. The beef is tender and seasoning is perfect on this savory- sauces dish. The whole dish (which is an ample Portion), had a bit of smoky flavor from the grill. I have also had the pan fried dumplings which are great.
