The beef bugolgi clay pot was so good! You get free miso soup and side salad. They also give you complimentary fried or steamed rice. The food is traditional and so good. I'll be back for sure! Service was fast and everyone was so nice.

The food is beyond good but very expensive. We always enjoy the atmosphere. A great place to go for a nice date but definitely too pricy for a day to day! Service and presentation has always been excellent.

Traveling through Temple looking for something good to eat and boy did we find it! This place is amazing. We got there about 5:15 and 30 minutes later the place was packed so we knew we chose well. The Mr Fuji roll was great & they lit it on fire right in front of us. The other roll is the Heart Attack. It was great too. The Udon noodles were so good. They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Service was good also. I think our server was rather new but she never left us needing anything. Will definitely come back if we visit the area again.

Just ok. Stopped on the way home from another appointment so first visit. Only people in the restaurant late afternoon but more people came in later but restaurant wasn't ever crowded. Waitress was very friendly and offered a complimentary salad and small cup of miso soup. Lettuce was floating in dressing and miso was just lukewarm broth. Neither were good. She also offered some Korean samples which were KimChee , breaded and deep fried bits of fish, zucchini and potato bits in a spicy sauce. Skip those too. Wanted the full experience so we said we would try these. Chose this place because of the extensive sushi choices advertised. Asked the waitress to have chef to make us 2 different sushi rolls that were spicy that we could share which didn't have shellfish. We tried asking him (@4 ft from us) but a fan nearby was too noisy. Not sure what the waitress told him. What we got was two small seaweed cones with heavily sauced spicy fish, rice and a couple pieces of slivered cucumbers. Waitress gave us dipping trays but no way to dip without everything falling out. Super awkward. I dumped it out on a plate after having most fall out. Obviously a communication issue..... Expecting 2 different sushi rolls that we could share. Entrees were just ok. Waitress recommended Teriyaki chicken which was a very thinly sliced grilled chicken breast with a bit of teriyaki glaze on top and a couple small broccoli florets, a couple green beans and a small piece of portobello mushroom and raw pieces of yam. No sauce on those. Flavorless. Side of rice. Other dish was a spicy pork dish Don Katu considered to be another best seller by the waitress. This one at least had some sauce and flavor albeit all spice. Rice on the side. Will continue looking for a go-to Asian place.

Small entrance, big space! Reminded us of similar places in the San Francisco area. Came here to satisfy a sushi craving, and left totally satisfied! Korean menu items, substantial sushi/sashimi menu, one of those places that you would have to make multiple visits to and work your way through the whole menu offerings. I had two different rolls, and two different nigiri sushi, all were very tasty and fresh. The spousal unit had Don Katsu (think Korean schnitzel), with rice and shredded cabbage as sides. Both items filled us up, without having to get a to go box. Friendly, efficient service, greeted and farewelled, coming in and out the door. Might want to come when they open, there was a short line waiting to get in when we left (Friday evening).

Spicy Chicken Bento - tasted good, they skimped on the rice though. These guys are Penny Pinchers

Ehh it's ok, but definitely not as good as it used to be, unfortunately. You used to get more food for your money here, but the portions are dwindling and some of the execution was poor. Had the Kalbi Ribs - they are very thin and lacking meat. Tasted good but not getting money's worth with this dish. Bento Box - spicy chicken was good. But they went light on the fried rice. The Bulgogi tasted a bit greasy- will not get that again Shrimp Tempura was slightly greasy and the tempura dipping sauce is the same sauce as the the dumpling sauce - that's not authentic. It should be a lighter soy sauce blend with daikon added in - so you're not getting the real McCoy here. The real dipping sauce rocks and it does make a big difference. Overall for what we spent we felt the bill was a bit too high for the value we got. $34 not including tip for 2 apps and 1 Bento - and that's lunch we're talking. 25ish would of been more appropriate IMO.

Yummy rolls that were all relatively big in size with a considerate amount of fresh fish.

We visited on Halloween, and were greeted by the spooky decor, with cobwebs and skeletons adding an eerie feel to the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and seated, and were excited to dig in. Our food came to us quickly, and we quickly got to cooking our meats. Our server Daley did a great job with helping us integrate vegetables into our experience, advising us to use sesame oil and mushrooms to enhance the spicy pork bulgolgi. The food came out great, and the spice levels were done perfectly! Unfortunately, the heating component was not operational in the buffet, and we were notified that we could only have the fried food if we paid an extra charge. Understandable as the food wouldn't stay warm, I was just sad to not have any crab rangoons. Kpot always does a good job with service and ambiance, and there should never be a question regarding the freshness or seasoning quality of their food. Would definitely come again!

Even with some menu items i.e. the chicken tangsuyuk or soups have been weird at times and ive had to say im sorry i dont think I can eat it. They were kind enough to replace the soup with another soup but it makes me wonder why the consistency or flavor changes. The side dishes are the star of the meal for me. I love their sweet soy potatoes always hits the spot for me. Their kimchi is solid and their rotation of other side dishes is always a nice surprise. The lady makes her rounds from time to time and I believe the sound is there too they're both very down to earth and nice people. I will say two of my all time fav dishes are their galbitang and their dolsot bibimbap can't go wrong if I stick with either of those dishes. I was slightly confused the very first time I tried them in late 2024 and felt like I was walking into a sushi bar, but glad they make korean dishes. The service is pretty good, some of them are very polite and helpful sometimes it can get busy and it's hard to get the waiters attention. The feel is a sushi restaurant with the counter in front where they make rolls not too contemporary but not very old either. Go for the service and try some korean dishes a little more expensive than I would like as the dishes are not consistent and some of the dishes are definitely a fusion or a slight twist on the original flavor or tradition taste. I haven't tried the sushi so I can't speak on that but I have seen quite a few customers order it.

5 out of 5 Living in…read morethe Austin area, you don't expect to find a legit Korean pocha experience in Killeen, but K1 & Bobapop is exactly that--a solid bar food and drinks spot that knows what it is and does it well. We've driven past this place countless times on our way from Austin to Dallas, finally gave it a shot, and we're glad we did. ---- Pros: - Great Korean bar food (pocha-style) - Solid drink menu (soju, soju slushes, and beer) - K-pop music videos playing on the TVs sets the mood - Karaoke bar and Bobapop (boba/desserts) - Open late (until 2 AM Thu-Sat) - Ample parking - Call button at each table for service Side Notes: - Opens at 4 PM daily (Sun opens at noon, closes at 10 PM) - Can get busy on weekends - plan accordingly - Delivery available through DoorDash and Uber Eats What We Got: - Soy Garlic Wings - Galbi - Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) - Kimchi Fries - Corn Cheese - Soju + Terra ---- Design/Space: K1 has that authentic Korean pub feel - neon signs, K-pop videos on the TVs, and a trendy but casual vibe that makes you feel like you're at a late-night spot in Seoul, not off the Central Texas Expressway. The space is on the smaller, more intimate side, so tables are close together, but that's standard for a pocha. It works for the vibe they're going for. The Bobapop section is a nice touch if you want boba or dessert after, and having karaoke next door gives you a reason to stay longer. It's well thought out as an all-in-one experience. Services/Staff: This is where K1 really impressed us. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. We were greeted right away, and our server walked us through the menu without making us feel rushed. The call button at the table is a nice touch - you press it when you need something, so you're not awkwardly flagging someone down (typical in LA, but not in Austin much). Drinks were refilled, and food came out at a good pace. Compared to some other Korean spots we've been to in the area, the energy here felt right for a pocha--friendly, casual, and lively without being over the top. Food/Drinks: I want to be clear - this is bar food, and that's exactly what it should be. K1 isn't trying to be a fine dining Korean restaurant, and that's what makes it work. It's a pocha. You come here for good fried chicken, some rice cakes, cold soju, and a good time. And on that front, they deliver. Opportunities to Enhance: A couple of small things. One, for how good this place is, more people need to know about it - their social media and online presence could use a push, because this spot deserves more foot traffic. Two, being Korean, would love to see more bar food bites from Korea, but might live octopus with sesame oil + salt might not be something the area is ready for, haha. Again, these are minor--the core of what they're doing is already solid. ---- Summary: K1 & Bobapop is exactly what Killeen needed - a legit Korean pocha experience with great bar food, solid drinks, and a fun atmosphere. It's a spot where you go to eat good fried chicken, drink soju, watch K-pop videos, maybe sing some karaoke, and have a great time. We'll absolutely be back, and if you're in the Killeen/Fort Cavazos area and haven't tried it yet, you're sleeping on one of the best spots in town. Keep doing what you're doing, K1.

We ordered 3 ramens, 1 cheese buldak, 2 yaki sobas, 1 chicken tenders, 1 large boneless (soy garlic & regular sweet & spicy flavors), 1 bulgogi fries, 2 chocolate milkshakes, 1 chocolate milk tea with boba, 1 soju slushie I think?, 1 coke, and 1 Dos Equis on tap. Plus 1 tteokbokki to go. Total came out to $266 and some change. Service was alright. They didn't bring out the drinks and utensils before the food came out. And, for a large party you would expect more water than their one standard size be provided for the table. We had a small spill at the table and the servers didn't show much urgency to help us clean up, as we had to ask for napkins multiple times both for the table and the spill. Our party agreed in the end that we would probably prefer takeout from here in the future since we enjoyed the food, but not the service.
