A hidden gem in the neighborhood! It's a tiny little store, so you may have a hard time looking for it (there's also a lot of construction work being down right now). Make sure to look for the green sign! I didn't have much expectations when I bought the sandwiches, but the owners are really sweet and nice! Pros they also speak Vietnamese (if you're somewhat fumbling with your French, they're super patient.) This is a complete mom and pop kind of shop, and let me tell you the owners are generous with their portions! We got the regular sized banh mi and it was HUGE, like if you take the ones in CA and doubled them. The baguette was delicious! They also have a mega (I believe) size listed, if our regular sized was already huge I wonder how big the mega would be. If you're looking for a good banh mi in Paris, stop by this store :)

Coming from someone that's vietnamese and lives in an area that's densely populated w/ viet ppl and oversaturated with banh mi shops...this place REALLY hit the spot. We stopped by here to do a grab and go of some banh mi for our plane ride back to the states. I got their dac biet which came with several diff types of meat, I was super satisfied. The baguette was very fresh and baked well. This was probably one of (if not) the best banh mi's I've ever had! Really can't go wrong when you're in the heart of a city that has great baguette and pate! The workers were also very friendly and offered us water and tea while we waited for our sandwiches to be made.

There is always a huge line outside of this place for a reason! Super delicious takeaway sandwiches and reasonably priced!!!

Now I honestly didn't know if it was a typo or not, but you order via QR code here so I figured what the heck, we'll do it for the plot! Turns out, it was the right choice. The orange carrot soup was amazing. Honestly had the perfect flavor and didn't really taste like carrot although the color gave it away. It wasn't too heavy either. The Winnie (essentially a fancy Croque Monsieur with some modifications: roasted nut crunch, goat cheese, forest honey, chives, rosemary, and Mornay bechamel sauce) Prices were reasonable: $5.50E for the soup and $13.50E for the Winnie.

That being said, that's exactly how I threaded this place into my itinerary - we had finished our visit to the Eiffel Tower and decided to head here for some lunch. I booked a table for right when they opened at noon. The space isn't too large, with several tables scattered throughout the space with the main production towards the back. The dining room was nicely decorated, and overall there was a casual vibe. There are no physical menus - instead, there are QR codes at each table which give way to the selections. The majority of the offerings are sandwiches, though they have a few apps, desserts, as well as a selection of beverages. I was here for a sandwich, and decided on the Le Bandito. This is a sandwich on five-grain bread that contained ham, zucchini, eggplant, grilled peppers, mozzarella, Saint-Moret cheese, arugula, basil, and balsamic cream. They gave the option to add a soft-boiled egg to the sandwich, which I took. The sandwich was tasty - it got a little sloppy towards the end due to all the components but overall the flavors worked and it was high-quality sandwich. The dish came with a side salad, and we also ordered some fries to share (both good). Service was good, they were very attentive and friendly. Overall, I think Fric-Frac is a solid sandwich spot in Paris. The sandwiches are creative, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back next time I'm in the city.

Of course I got a classic Authentic Croissant and their famous Escargot Pistache Chocolat which were both delicious. The Escargot Pistache Chocolat can't be skipped. It was slightly dry & crisp but I liked the flaky bits and the fact that each bite had a little bit of pistachio and chocolate. The Pain Chocolate Banane was my absolute favorite! It's a classic Pain au Chocolate cooked with pieces of fresh organic banana. I'm still dreaming about it. If you see this on display, do yourself a favor and grab one! It took a regular Pain au Chocolat and made it exponentially better! It was flaky, sweet, buttery, and everything a pastry should be. The Chausson a la Pomme Fraiche was also a great try. It is half a fresh apple cooked in a puff pastry turnover. I love that they use fresh fruits in their pastries and some of them were literally still warm when we got them, so I highly recommend going early. We even got some of their famous Pain des Amis for our picnic which was super pleasant. Amazing bakery!
