    Ube snow

The Ube snow was just as gorgeous as it was tasty!!! Definitely shareable! We got the pink pineapple and strawberry for the fruit and the flavors of all the toppings together were delicious. The person at the counter was so nice and even though it was busy, we had no trouble finding a table.

This was my first time to Mills Market after reading about the new bib gourmand awards for multiple outlets. This place was busy for good reasons! Saigon snow has a mix of snow desserts, soft serve, and sweet drinks. We tried the Ube snow which was piled high with toppings. All with varying textures which made this dessert so unique. There were rice crisps, the surprising star of the show, Ube whip cream, fresh fruit, lychee jelly, Ube cake... and the list goes on. Best part, it was under $10 and an easily shareable dessert.

By far, my favorite shaved ice spot in all of Orlando! I'm not gonna lie, it'll be difficult to find another spot that can top this place. Shaved ice is nothing new, but unique taste and creativity are what makes this place stand out! The two working there were slammed, but oh so polite and patient with everyone ordering. Go get some! Small stall located in the food court on colonial drive- it really is the friendliest service I've gotten. The cashier was getting ready to close but saw I was interested and asked what flavor I would like. Since she already had one machine that made pandan already she didn't have to clean the machine to make my treat. The serving size of the shaved ice is ginormous- filled with fruit and the cream was really delicious. I wish we had something like this in nyc. It was refreshing and tasty without being overly heavy but still sinful lol. I will def go back if I'm back in Orlando

Fun concept and loved the Vietnamese twist on shaved ice. My favorite was the banh da lon (steamed layer cake) topping. Service was great although it did take a while to get our order. I also wish the ice itself had a bit more flavor, but overall an enjoyable treat!

We love coming to mills market and grabbing our Saigon Snow. It is so delicous! The toppings are also amazing. Our favorite topping is the ube cake pieces. They just pair so we'll with the Snow and fresh mochi.

Orlando-WOWZA!! Absolutely delicious! We walked into this awesome little food hall, and found Saigon Snow. The young man generously instructed us on how to order and explained all of the different flavors. We had the pandan snow, along with pineapple and lychee. Super yummy. Can't wait to go back and try different flavors!

    Pretty... and pretty flavorless

Pretty! Flavorless! That's about the best I can do to describe this snow! The Ube Snow was beautiful and gorgeous and close up, looked like Muppet fur... and probably tasted like it too (I haven't eaten a Muppet... yet!). It was loaded with toppings... some type of gummies (Pandan?), coconut, pineapple, some crunchy stuff, some whipped cream that was green, and some other chewy items. With the exception of the pineapple (which was pink and delicious), everything was Bland AF! I don't get why people love this place so much other than it's gorgeous and instagram/Yelp worthy. I mean, how do you have flavorless coconut... coconut has such a strong flavor profile (polarizing too), but the coconut here was cut thick like an earthworm, and again, bland bland bland. And why so much of it? OMG this thing was huge! It's aptly named "snow" because of the lack of flavor. I don't plan on ordering here unless I see a change to their signage that says "NOW, WITH FLAVOR!".

The ambiance is what truly makes up the place. I love this cute little spot. The works do such a good job at explaining what each item brings and have such great customer service. Next is the food, well dessert per say. It's delicious. You can put all kinds of toppings and flavors. And I must say this is my go to spot!

Came here with my family and they loved it. You can get creative Taste great Price is very fair Environment is awesome since they are located inside Mills market. Service was perfect. Zero complaints. Glad i found this

Soooo good! Small spot inside mills market - standing room only to eat and gets busy with all the other businesses there Got strawberry snow with mango and coconut and it was so refreshing! Looks like they have rotations on coffee that. I can't wait to try for my next visit. Market has other cute options of food as well well bathrooms ( kinda dirty). Highly recommend not only this place but to check out Mills market as well!

Saigon Snow is such a sweet way to end a night out (literally)! Their shaved ice dessert is light, refreshing, and just the right balance of creamy and fruity. It's perfect for sharing, with portions big enough for two and toppings that make every bite a little different. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and a dessert that feels like a little celebration... I can't think of a better way to wrap up a date night!

I came here with a friend on the weekend and it was packed! The staff here were friendly and had good energy. The stall is cute. It is hard to find somewhere to sit in here though on the weekend. The snow ice was good but not the best I've had. I like the cute umbrella they put on top and how they decorate the snow ice with all the toppings. Very Instagram / tiktok worthy. If you want to get a dessert after eating at Unigirl, Banh mi Boy or Kai Kai this is a good option.

Both were delicious but the UBE stood out for me. This time it was not as packed and warm temp like it can be at times here. Ordered the Maiko Parfait in Ube : soft-serve with mochi balls, Japanese chestnut, adzuki red beans, sponge cake, corn flake, & agar jelly for $9ish. It was a delicious creamy not too sweet ube soft serve that had a delicious taste of ube. It was bright purple with the yummy-ness of this creamy ube flavor not the flavor im used to in filipino version ice creams. It had the mochi balls and chesnut - Corn flakes, Matcha sponge cake - Red beans, and jelly. I love this dessert. The interesting part of this soft serve - It was slow to melt! It was sturdy enough that when you take your time and enjoy it - It does not melt so fast unlike other soft serves. Would def come back again and get UBE!

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a specialty matcha café focused entirely around Japanese-style matcha desserts…read moreand drinks. We walked into a cute and welcoming space with a menu built around showcasing matcha in different forms rather than treating it as just another flavor option. The atmosphere is cozy and fits the theme well, though seating is limited and it can get crowded during busy times, making it better suited for a quick dessert stop or grabbing a drink to enjoy nearby rather than settling in for a long visit. The main reason to visit is the matcha soft serve and dessert selection. The matcha flavor is noticeably rich and earthy, with a stronger tea profile compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. The soft serve has a smooth, creamy texture and works especially well in combinations like matcha shaved ice, floats, or parfait-style creations. The matcha shaved ice stands out with layers of shaved ice, matcha soft serve, red bean, mochi, and Japanese chestnuts, creating a dessert that has different textures in every bite. The combination of the creamy soft serve with the chewy mochi and the slight bitterness of the matcha creates a balanced dessert that does not rely solely on sugar for flavor. The drink menu gives plenty of ways to experience matcha, from hot and iced matcha drinks to floats and specialty creations. Options like matcha with ube, matcha lattes with foam, and hojicha drinks add variety for anyone who wants something beyond traditional matcha. The café also offers coffee options, which makes it easier for groups with different preferences to find something they enjoy. The matcha lattes are well balanced, with the earthy notes of the tea coming through clearly without being masked by milk or sweetness. Beyond matcha, the menu includes other Japanese-inspired desserts like taiyaki, mochi-based items, and seasonal offerings. The combination of traditional flavors and playful presentations makes the café feel like a dessert destination rather than just a drink shop. The desserts are also visually appealing, with the kind of presentation that makes them worth taking a photo before digging in. The taiyaki are crisp on the outside and filled with a sweet red bean paste that contrasts nicely with the cold soft serve. Service is friendly and helps keep the experience smooth even when the café is busy. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and make it easy to choose between the many matcha options, offering clear descriptions of the flavor profiles and texture differences between the soft serve, shaved ice, and latte options. Because the café has a strong focus on quality matcha and specialty desserts, it can get popular during peak hours, so visiting outside the busiest times may make it easier to find seating and take your time with the menu. Matcha Cafe Maiko is a great spot for anyone who enjoys matcha or wants to try Japanese-style matcha desserts. The combination of rich matcha flavor, creative menu options, and a cozy café atmosphere makes it stand out from typical dessert shops. It feels like a place worth visiting when you want a matcha experience that goes beyond a basic latte, offering a dessert that feels both authentic and indulgent without being overly sweet.

It's a small ice cream shop located on the main strip of Colonial Drive. The bright lit sign stands out from afar. It was busy with people inside and outside of the shop. There's scoop options and sundae floats. We got the mini floats of the Halo Halo and a Mango Sticky rice. Both were so good and refreshing. We didn't think it was overly sweet for dessert. In fact, we took the team's suggestion and had vegan ube ice cream. We've tried vegan ice cream in the past and it was not good. This was actually good for vegan ice cream option. We normally share when it comes to desserts like this, but we finished our own. Recommend this dessert spot if you're in town or nearby! Seating is limited since it is a small place.

One word to sum up overall: Wow…read more We have heard a lot of recommendations for Kaya and we were hesitant to think if it can be that worthy for Filipino food. Kaya is an upscale twist of Filipino fusion food that their ingredients is based on farm to table concept. It's a house that converted to a restaurant for the cozy, intimate, casual vibes. Reservation is recommended because it can be busy! When we arrived, we were seated outdoors and Jamie was our server. She is very welcoming, friendly, with a great attitude and humor that made our dining experience at Kaya enjoyable. We ordered the following: * Bahay Kubo: probably the least thought my husband would order for a plant based dish, but it was very refreshing and delicious. We both never had beets and mulberry before so that was something new for us. * Oxtail Kare Kare: I haven't had Kare Kare before, but Kaya's dish is tasty. Their oxtail is so tender at the touch of a fork, and their sweet potato puree and sauce that goes with it was so good. * squid ink pancit adobo: First thought was knowing the typical traditional pancit, but squid ink? This is that solid dish my husband was eating away and he can't stop talking about it. It's the dish he would come back to Kaya for. * Lumpiang Shanghai: served hot with a side of sweet chili sauce. That was good as well. * Calamansi Pandan drink is so refreshing and delicious. It was perfect for a warm day. We enjoyed every dish at Kaya. We skipped on dessert because we want to save our appetite for Sampaguita as recommended by Jamie. Every plate delivered to our table was explained to us on how the dish was prepared. It's a bit on the higher pricing, but we thought it was worth the experience and look forward to come back if we are ever in Orlando again.

Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. While the presentation was beautiful, it felt like the kitchen was trying too hard to make the dishes into something they're not. The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the prices, which felt hard to justify. I went in expecting Filipino food, but what arrived seemed more focused on trendy buzzwords and fancy menu descriptions than authentic flavor. The catchphrases on the menu sounded impressive, but the food didn't deliver on what I was hoping for. I tried to be as objective as possible because of all the positive reviews I'd heard, but this just wasn't the Filipino cuisine I expected. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere can only go so far when the food is the main reason you're there.
