We had an amazing time, since it was during the pandemic we didn't have the food buffet and was a bit disappointed to just get a bag lunch- it wasn't as good as when they have food laid out and they also didn't provide bread to feed to the fish so there was very little fish to see. I know it sounds like all negatives but it was literally due to the pandemic. Traveler overall is a great experience and I love relaxing and the team is great!

I booked this excursion after a recommendation from an Uber driver-So glad I listened! My Airbnb was in Carolina so Fajardo is a 40 minute drive which is far compared to other local options. However it's worth the trip and allows you a chance to experience more of the island than if you stay local. Once you get to the pier, there is street parking that was very convenient. There is also a boat house with stalls and showers that make it convenient to change into and out of your swim gear. At first we thought that we wouldn't be able to go to both of the locations included in the tour but the weather cleared up and we were good to go. The staff was so great! Very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. The lunch was sub buffet style-different meats, cheeses, and toppings with a few cold salad options. They also offer rum punch, water, and sodas once lunch begins. So if your the type to get a bit thirsty, bring a water bottle with you too. Definitely ensure you bring a hat, sunglasses, and tons of sunblock! You are out for hours in the sun. The excursion itself is amazing! Stunning ocean views, pristine beaches, water slide, great music! Do yourself a favor and book this excursion!

I must start by writing about The amazing crew! Francis, the other girl ( I cannot recall her name), Geo and Capt. Angel were phenomenal and made sure we had a great time. They even offered a quick snorkeling/swimming lesson for those who were snorkeling for their first time, or didn't know how to swim. The lunch was pretty good, they served cold cuts and fresh fruit; and of course, unlimited rum! Also, they had a great playlist...

This was for sure a highlight of our trip. It was a beautiful day. The boat ride alone was worth the price of admission We went to the Icacao Island. Beautiful beach. Lunch was great. Rum was plentiful. After spending a couple of hours there, we moved out to a reef for real snorkeling, sunshine, music and more rum. Captain Tyrone, First Mate Benji and Hostess Frances were so much fun. Accommodating and informative. Our catamaran held 20 people. I recommend you make sure you are on one of the smaller catamarans as some of them had 45 or 50 people on board and it seemed crowded and certainly a lot less intimate. We got to know people from Puerto Rico, Canada, New Jersey, and Phoenix during our time on the boat. As it was Christmas Eve, we sailed back to the marina singing and dancing to Christmas music. I would consider this a must do adventure when visiting Puerto Rico, even if you don't like to snorkel.

Beautiful sunset. The crew actually took the picture and shared it with us.

Great staff and service. We were staying in Candado and it was well worth the trip over to Fajardo, Puerto Rico. I recommend the afternoon trip because you get to have a relaxing afternoon and enjoy the the beautiful Puerto Rico sunsets. Great time!

For my anniversary with my bf, I booked the day trip sail to Icacos Island. It turned out to be the highlight of our vacation!! From the incredible views to the unlimited rum punch, we had such a memorable time. The boating crew and captain were more than hospitable and entertaining for our sail! We 10/10 recommend Traveler Catamaran if you want to see unforgettable views of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico :)

    First stop at Icacos Island!

Captain Gio, Alonso, and the entire crew were absolutely incredible! We had an amazing trip aboard the catamaran. The lunch was also delicious! We loved both stops at Icacos Island and Tortuga Reef. A must do when visiting Puerto Rico!!

It was my first time on a catamaran, and we did the snorkeling by Culebra. It was a lot of fun. The boat ride was about an hour each way, and the boat went pretty fast. I was sitting towards the back of the boat, and whenever the front of the boat made a splash, I would eat it and got pretty drenched. We had 2 stops where we got into snorkeling gear and jumped off of the boat. I got to see a lot of coral reefs, cool looking fishes, and even a turtle! Too bad the water was a little bit cloudy. The boat itself looked to be pretty new. The Captain was very nice and courteous. He pointed out where to snorkel to see the coral reefs and which areas to avoid. He even brought out a boogie board to give people who weren't good swimmers something to hold onto, as he swam them around the bay so they could have the snorkeling experience. Lunch was provided - some bread, ham, tuna, cheese, cold pasta salad, some cantaloupes and oranges, and potato chips. Overall, I had a lot of fun and had a great time.

This was super awesome and an INCREDIBLE deal. To start. I was a bit worried about how our whole group would fit comfortably on the boat, but it turns out that there was nothing to worry about. The staff of the Traveler was friendly, fun, and knowledgable. I've never snorkeled before this, and they were extremely patient with me and great teachers. Along with two snorkeling spots, the price includes lunch and drinks after eleven. I was full, content, and buzzed for an affordable price. This adventure made me very, VERY happy!

We booked this tour combined with the biolumiscent bay tour together through GSI. While my negative experience with that company darkened the experience slightly, nothing could have been more fun that this excursion. I think that the sign in process could have been better explained, we were told that our card was run upon booking, but it turns out only the deposit had been, and we owed a significant amount of money that we didn't expect. Okay, we paid and sat down in the designated spot. They offered water or soft drinks while waiting for all parties to show up, a total of 45 people. They sized us with flippers and snorkeling masks before telling us the rules. They really rushed through where to sit, how to flush the "toilet" etc, but once we were on we figured it out pretty well. I did think that the boat was pretty overcrowded, but everyone was friendly enough. We were cruising at about 10 mph so it never got too fast, but we were joined by a happy dolphin jumping along with us. It was about an hour out to the Icacaos Island, an uninhabited beautiful place with an immature reef. They offered lessons to newbies, and provided tubes to strap around your waist if you were uncomfortable. Once we were anchored they pulled out a lunch buffet that included chicken salad, tuna salad, turkey, ham, pasta salad, cheese, pickles and cookies. They also had complimentary rum punch, pina colada drinks, and pop. It was all self guided so Michael and I spent about an hour in the reef, half hour exploring the amazing island and half hour eating/drinking. I was surprised how many people just hung out on the boat. This reef was only about 8 feet deep. After a couple hours we moved to the Tortuga Reef, which was situated at 25-30 feet deep with a much more mature reef. Here we saw a nurse shark, a puffer fish, several parrotfish, a sea turtle and many cool marine plants. Drinks were bottomless, and so was the sun. Pro-tip I was I would have realized... your back and butt and backs of legs are constantly served up to the southern sun for hours, LATHER ON THE SUNSCREEN! I covered my front well, but was quite uncomfortable on the plane ride back the next morning. I really think that this was an amazing experience. So tranquil, but so much fun. I would absolutely recommend this company and this tour to anyone looking to get out to the ocean and see some fishies :)

I booked this excursion for my boyfriend and myself for a company work function. The staff was very friendly, pleasant boat ride, the food they served was delicious, and the reefs were amazingly filled with fish and other life. I think Angela was the best part. She was overly nice, a caring, inviting woman that made snorkeling a lot more fun The only thing I have to complain about is how crowded the boat was. Then that translated into crowded snorkeling. I was fighting to get a close up of the reef. I wouldn't have picked another excursion after experiencing this one. This was the best day of my vacation in Puerto Rico

The crew was super sweet. And had an amazing time on the boat!!! The water was so pretty. The boat slide was so much fun too!!!

As boat rides were expected, it was a rocky ride to the island. The Captain instructed us to remain seated while the boat is in motion to avoid injuries. As instructed, I was seated during the entire boat ride. Above me was a large speaker and during the boat right the speaker fell landing on my head and shoulder. Due to this incident, I no longer was able to enjoy the experience or amenities the tour provided. I no longer drank alcohol because my head continue to hurt more with drinking and overtime my shoulder began to hurt more. This accident was not a life threatening situation, which is why I didn't request to be taken back to the mainland and go to the Hospital. Due to this situation, I didn't get off the boat or continue to drink the alcoholic beverages provided. I attempted to get a full refund of my personal ticket, however; was unsuccessful. I reported the incident to the Captain and an incident report was taken. The Captain instructed me to speak to the owner and provided her number. I spoke with her over the phone and explained the incident 2 days after, in which she stated she was aware. I kindly requested a refund due to it being negligent on their end for not properly placing and fastening such a large speaker over their clients heads. The woman was very defensive and stated that "if I felt that bad, I should've went to the Hospital and requested a ferry back to the mainland". I then explained to her, not all injuries require a hospital visit and if she's questioning the accident, to ask her crew and pictures that were taken on the boat prior to me getting off. The Captain took pictures and felt the lump on my head. I then told her that I just couldn't enjoy the experience so I no longer drank the alcoholic drinks and didn't get off the boat when we arrived at the island. She stated to me "just because you didn't get off the boat doesn't mean you were feeling bad, many people don't get off boat". I then tell her the fact of the matter is the accident happened, her crew witnessed it, there are visible injuries that will leave a scar, and thank God I didn't get a concussion, all I'm requesting for is a full refund of one ticket (mine) because it was very negligent from her company. She stated that she will give me a call back. It is April 9th, 2026, and I have yet to receive a call or email from this company. Honestly, if it wasn't for this accident, I would've definitely loved and enjoyed this tour. Unfortunately, I just personally had this experience and wanted to share how incidents will be handled if you decide to book with them.

I fully understand and respect that the vessel has a no-smoking and no-vaping policy. I complied. However, the manner in which the policy was communicated was unnecessarily rude and confrontational. Professional leadership sets the tone onboard, and unfortunately that tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. At one point, I was also threatened by a crew member, which was completely disproportionate to the situation. That escalation appeared to stem from poor leadership and communication from the captain. The most disappointing moment occurred as I was disembarking the vessel when the captain said, "Can you walk straight?" implying that I was intoxicated or unstable. This comment was especially inappropriate given that I have visible scarring on my femur from a serious injury. I worked very hard to recover from that injury, and being mocked in that manner was unprofessional and disrespectful. I have always respected crew authority and vessel policies on prior charters. Rules are understandable. Disrespect and intimidation are not. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures future guests are treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
