Puppies "Brothers 8 Months old." They had a great time playing up and down the snow hills. Walk a 100 yards on the trail, and you will see a little cove for the dogs and kids to play, sled in deep untouched snow. A hidden gem. Safe where we went, no traffic, away from the busy highway. We so enjoyed the puppies first time experiencing the snow with our puppies. TIP: STOP. Weekends: You need a day parking pass $5.00 Where do you buy one. At the visitors center, before going up to the end of Wrightwood. Weekdays you do not need a day parking pass. Rules not unforced during the week days. Top of Wrightwood. Plenty of Parking. Clean Bench, maps of the trail , and two restrooms. Bring your own: seat cover & TP. Hand sanitizer. Mount High Cafe I hope you have as much fun as we did! Great hidden gem.

The creation is beautiful. We all need beauty. There is a lot of ugliness, evil, and error being floated around by various persons so it's nice to be in a place where the unadulterated beauty of the creator shines forth. Wrightwood with all the trees and the streams and the mountains and the birds and the other animals and the snowflakes and the ice and the rain and the sun and the wind and a pretty homes and the delightful architecture and the friendly people, and I hear the church is nice too. Yes I know there is more than one church and if there are other places of worship I apologize; I am not familiar with them.

Go early in the morning when it's cooler, and bring lots of water, snacks, add electrolytes to your water, and bring a water filtration system just in case. The highlight was the little river that we came across to cool off. That was a game changer! The Devil's Punchbowl view was highly over rated in my opinion ... view of the desert . Would I do it again? Definitely a big NO! There was a shorter trail, near a little river, that I would have preferred to hike instead. One in our group wanted to hike the Devils Punchnowl so we hesitately agreed. I did t know anything about the hike and relied on the persons in our group that knew more about the hike. We were instructed to drink 1 bottle of water before the hike, and to bring 2 standard bottles of water, and told that would be enough. We should have had a least 2 gallons of water per person! We conserved on drinking water, especially since one person in our group lost a bottle of water in a ravine, due to a not fully closed backpack. Always do your own research on how long the trail is, consider the temperature conditions, and bring lots of water! Don't depend on anyone else regarding your water needs.
