    The Last Straw
    Tess C.

Great, cute, local neighborhood bar. We stopped in around 6 pm on a Friday evening and snagged a table outside with no issue. Extensive curated cocktail menu with fun seasonal drink options. I loved the Heiress and The Last Straw (both gin based, very tasty and fresh). My husband loved the The Fire Island. Drinks were $17 each, a little pricey but not out of the ordinary. We also ordered the shishito peppers which were good, but we didn't love the lemon sauce that came with them. Only knocking a star because service is verrrrrry slow. They seem to only have one person running drink orders and checking on tables. Seems like that's been an issue in the past. It wasn't egregious but definitely something of note. Happy to have it in the area!

Score: 3.5 I went here with my mom. I got a vodka soda and she had the old fashion. The cocktails were good, probably slightly above average of what I usually have in Brooklyn. We also got the arancini, which were really good. I thought it was a little overpriced for a small neighborhood spot, but then again, it's Park Slope. Our waiter was nice, and responsive when my mom had lots of questions. I would have given him a good tip, but the tip was included in the bill - not a fan of that.

Overall rating: 4.8 I went here for a drink before seeing a movie at Nitehawk from a friend's recommendation. The place looked cute and it was just opening, so I was able to snag a seat at the bar. I loved the decoration and vibe. While I only had a beer, the menu looked very tasty. Will definitely be back to try some other items. The staff was also so friendly and I loved the punk music playing in the background, so unexpected. Totally a date or solo spot & highly recommend.

Cute neighborhood cocktail bar! We had excellent service, the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and every dish was delicious. Our favorite was the Guanciale flatbread, very unique flatbread and savory with their bechamel sauce, onions and Guanciale. My partner had two cocktails that he really enjoyed as well.

My girlfriend wanted to check this cocktail bar out, the drinks were good but not the biggest fan of the service. Wanted to be seated outside and was not allowed even with ample seating available. Had issues talking to the waiter about allergens I had with items on the menu

The most innovative cocktails I've had in a while, set in a wonderfully cozy environment! Absolutely perfect for a date night or catching up with a friend. Sesamum (served up): This was described as Ramen in cocktail for, which honestly intrigued me, but I was originally hesitant as I imagined it. The truth is, this is a perfectly balanced drink that has layers of complexity you can't imagine until you have it! Trust me, it just works. Infusing sesame in a spirit is genius. A Weekend At The Metropole (served on a rock): A super smooth, spirit forward drink! Like an old fashioned with the absolute slightest hint of marmite. Can't wait to try more!!

Evita. Grapefruit mezcal concoction, a refreshing delight. Eva Peron would approve.

Such a special sweet cocktail spot! Lovely is a good word for this place; a place that I will be frequenting a lot. We started out just popping by this place for a cocktail on a lovely (there's that word again) evening. Saw some of the food being brought and and decided, we're staying awhile for some of those delectable bites ...plenty to make a meal of or just share a small plate or two as a little munch w/ your amazing cocktail(s). Service was prompt, yet relaxed and (here's that word again) lovely.

St Eve's makes the best most creative cocktails. I'm absolutely in love Yara, Grace, Kim and Josh are great bartenders!

Everyone in the neighborhood seems to know about this place except Yelp. Well here I am to save the day. As I begin to wake up from the terrible terrible dream of pandemic life with children, I'm pleased to discover that my taste buds are still able to recognize flavors other than the stuff I've been eating all the past year (which albeit was very good, but very repetitive as I'm not that creative in the kitchen). We stumbled across Saint Eves on a random walk thru the hood and made a mental note to come back and find it another night, and tonight was that night. It was spot on. We had intended to only have a drink and then go elsewhere for dinner, but after we both went "god damned!!" after taking our first sips, we decided to just stay. Fantastic drinks (I couldn't seem to go wrong), great small plates, and lovely outdoor dining. The staff was awesome, and the service was at a good leisurely pace. This place had a good crowd too, but their setup was well spaced. I'm a huge fan. Welcome to Yelp Saint Eves.

Visited Saint Eve's Cocktails for after dinner drinks. With a cool space and bold cocktails, definitely worth a visit. Quality: Tried two different cocktails from their menu. I was a big fan of the bold Sesamum, with black sesame tequila, mezcal, scallion, lime, soy sauce, and chili pepper tincture. Not a drink for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. I also had some of the Nigella Lawson with rum, mezcal, strawberry, nigella seed, pineapple, and coconut milk. With some pina colada vibes, it was interesting, but perhaps a little too much pineapple. They have some food items, and the flatbreads looked great, but we only had drinks. Quantity: Surprised by the kick in both cocktails I tried. Value: $15 for Cocktails. Ambiance: Saint Eve's Cocktail is located in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. Down a side street, the bar is situated in a nice residential area. They have a large outdoor structure with plenty of seating as well as a few uncovered tables. Inside is a dimly lit bar, with a lot of nice touches. The beautiful floor and walls, the antique fixtures, and the noteworthy art pieces. Crowd: Every table outside was filled and about half of the spots inside as well. Service: Needed additional help on a beautiful weekend evening. Parking: Limited parking in residential area.

Bad drinks. They need to change the entire menu. I'm shocked this place is surviving in park slope.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.
