Saisaki Asian Fusion My husband and I went to Saisaki for lunch today. ((Chef's kiss)) We have been looking for a place that offers Toro (fatty tuna), like REAL quality Toro. We've lived in Japan and Hawai'i where the itamae serve the dishes with years of skill. So, yes we are snobs when it comes to sushi -- everything from the temperature of the rice, the amount of vinegar used, and of course the quality of fish. We would usually drive down to Rockville to get quality food, but LAWD thank you for Saisaki! If you want clean tasting quality sushi, Saisaki is a must. We also tried their Drunken Noodles (delicious) and a seasonal/Halloween mocktail (fun).

Ordered sushi takeout tonight and this place did not disappoint!! Would love to try their sushi in the restaurant because the moon rise roll apparently is served on fire! Also hoping to try their other food options that are available.

Such a gem! This Asian fusion spot is tucked inside a building from 1795, and the historic charm just adds to the whole experience. Think cozy tavern vibes with a modern twist -- dim lighting, exposed brick, and warm wood details that make it feel both intimate and stylish. The food is phenomenal -- every dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put thought into every element, blending traditional and modern Asian influences in such a creative way. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Perfect for a date night, dinner with friends, or anyone looking for a unique dining experience. Highly recommend!

We stopped in at this new Asian fusion in a historical building. There are a few dining rooms, bar area, and some outdoor seatings. The service was terrific- very attentive but not overbearing. The menu is a mix of Japanese and Thai. Everything we ordered was delicious, including a carry-out order. Starters: Edamame- solid. It was topped with fried garlic, not too much. A nice surprise. Vegetable tempura- everything came in two pieces so we were able to taste everything. Great tempura. Perfectly fried. Loved the dipping sauce. Pork Katsu Bento box- we shared one and was more than enough. See picture for reference. Very good selection. Ended the meal with Sticky RRice with Mango. The mango was perfectly ripen. Wonderful way to end the meal. Because the meal was so good, we decided to order Panang Chicken to go. It was so good. Just enough heat. We don't live near but hope to find ourselves in the area again soon.

Miami Sunset roll and the Angel roll.

Delicious every time! Inviting interior. Super friendly staff. Try the Miami Sunset Roll or the Angel Roll.

New favorite spot in Frederick alert??…read more We have always had a soft spot for Asian fusion, especially Thai fusion, and this place did not disappoint! From the decor to the food, I was so thoroughly impressed with the experience. For appetizer we got the Massamun potstickers, and I got the Garlic Crispy Chicken rice bowl. David got the Supreme Noodle. Massamun Potstickers: Crispy on the outside, plenty of massamun curry sauce to dip the potstickers in. Only wish that there was a little more filling on the inside of the potstickers. Save the sauce if you get a rice bowl so that it doesn't go to waste! Garlic Crispy Chicken Bowl: This came LOADED with deliciously saucy yet crispy chicken bites layered with a spicy mayo sauce and sides of cucumber and carrots. There was a TON of rice too, perhaps too much but not a complaint. For $17 this was a pretty good deal. I love a good mix of soup and rice so with my leftover rice I had some of David's soup that came with the Supreme Noodles! Supreme Noodles: Portion was a bit small for $22 and wish there was more protein, but still so good. The honey roasted pork was surprisingly tender and not dry at all (I was thinking it would be like a hard/dry pork but it was saucy and flavorful!). You can pour the side soup inside or have separately, very yummy! Wish we had room for dessert (they had a Thai tea cheesecake that I am dying to try). Also see lots of people getting the Chor Muang dumplings so will have to try those next time too (our server confirmed those were popular).

On our last visit, a few Sunday nights ago, we popped in at dinner time on impulse and were seated immediately, though it's not a big space and it gets a lot of traffic. We walked through the little bar to the interesting and well-appointed dining room. I ordered a Singha beer and my wife got her standard Thai iced tea, very well made here. We split an appetizer of delicious crispy firecracker shrimp. She got her favorite, Pad Thai with shrimp, and I got mine, creamy green curry with chicken (I chose a 3 out of 4 on spiciness, which was close to my limit!). Both were terrific, As always, the service was efficient and polite. We haven't tried this place for carryout yet, because I think we just like sitting there so much. If you like the unique flavors of Thai food served cheerfully in a pleasant atmosphere, I think you'll like Thai Meric.

Service was fast and friendly - we were surprised by how quickly our meals arrived. The food was seriously flavorful and plentifully portioned. It's a little bit tricky to find as the main sign is up as a sign which can be easy to miss. The space is intimate with limited self serve seating. They also have outdoor seating as well. Started out with the Crab Rangoon which was crunchy and crispy, filled with the Rangoon. The neighborhood bird was voted best chicken sandwich in Baltimore and I can see why. The sandwich is on a steam bun which had a sweetness to it. The chicken thigh is large and filling, seasoned well and goes well with the mayo, pickles and herbs. The crispy shrimp bowl came with fried shrimp lying on a bed of basmati rice, some pickled vegetables and herbs. Definitely have to mix all your ingredients together to get the maximum flavor. The Yuzu drinks were refreshing. The white peach flavor was delicious. Overrall the meal came up to $66 with a 20% tip. Seemed like a lot of people order online for pick up. My friend and I split the cost since we were planning on having a second lunch after this lol. The sandwich is a crab cake + softshell crab on a very soft bao bun. It was pretty good but it was alittle lukewarm since we were late for our pick up (so our bad). Very good sandwich with delectable flavors with the crab cake full of meat and the crunchiness of the softshell crab. Pretty solid sandwich! Im not sure if its worth the price point but I appreciated as is.

Since we were in the company of a bunch of preteens, ice tea and mango bubble thingies were enjoyed by all. (For the future: they have a full bar, with everything from beers to fruity drinks to shots. I didn't see sake on the menu, but I'm not a fan so didn't look really hard). Apps were good, with serving sizes plentiful. We ordered fried calamari (served in stick form, not rings; weird but tasty), really nice tempura, and Ying Yang shrimp (the spicy may sauce was OK, but the wasabi sauce was killer!). For mains we focused on: sushi. Lots and lots of sushi. The rolled sushi menu is very long; the sushi (actually nigiri) and sashimi menu not so much. Nothing on the menu described how big the portions were so the 'dults each ordered a several different selections, both rolls and sushi. This kiddies ordered ramen, and Spousal Unit got Drunken Noodles with Chicken along with a sushi roll. Turns out the rolls were HUGE so we overordered dramatically (pro tip: ask in the future). Everything was fresh and tasty. My only quibble was that the Spider Roll appeared to be fried surimi (artificial crab) not soft shell crab. How could I tell? No legs, baby! We rolled out stuffed, with a doggie bag full of sushi for Daddy Dearest's second dinner. The price was very reasonable, and the quality far better than Lantern Sushi (but not as good as Sushi Nomo or Lazy Fish). Middle-Oldest Grand Daughter's birthday dinner was a success - and I'm already looking forward to next year's!
