I appreciated not only how I was treated but how they interacted with other customers. I pay attention to that kind of stuff. Even the crew were professional but friendly. They did my oil change, went for a ride with me to assess and address the bake issue. Done! Not only will I continue to have my oil changes with them but any of my mechanical needs as well.

I have gotten my car inspected at L&D. I have also gotten a couple of other things done. I love my car. It is not fancy, it gets me where I need to go and it is reliable. Recently, I got in my car, I put the key in, and it did not start. I was pretty pissed off. I took the battery and carried it to L&D. They told me I should have called. They tested the battery and it seemed fine. Then they drove me to my car, worked on the car, figured out the problem and left and came back with a new battery. Then they took the car to the shop and made sure other things were taken care of. They also changed my oil. No work that was done without my approval and nothing was pressured. I have represented these guys on business ventures, and sometimes, when you know people in other contexts, you can be disappointed. This is one of those unique situations where I can recommend someone to my mechanic without hesitation. I have recommended them to several people I know and each has been extremely happy. They don't just make me look good, they really fix stuff. Sometimes, I bet they are annoyed by the crazy situations I create with my car, but they fix it each and every time I manage to do something batmanish. The other day, I was in the shop with my car and they were fixing it and I was sitting in the waiting area with other customers and it was almost like a cult meeting. I have never met a group of people so happy to get their cars fixed. I find L&D to be pretty inexpensive compared to other places and they are pretty honest. I have never known them to cut corners. Cons: They don't serve coffee while you wait, though there is a TV. I don't really drink coffee. However, I don't like just writing nice things, it gets to people's heads. Addition: A friend and fellow customer just reminded me that once I was stuck at L&D and while they were fixing the car, they gave me some of their lunch. L&D has really helped keep my car in good shape so that I can use it to get around from Court to Court.

Hasib had ordered the wrong front tires for my car, which caused several dashboard errors. He had me come to Rice's Automotive (new shop he is now at) to resolve issues from my inspection. Hasib realized and admitted he had ordered front tires that are the wrong size for my car but he blames the mechanic (Ernie) for installing those wrong tires and he says it's Ernie's fault. He sent me to Hempstead Discount Tire (where Ernie is now at) and that Ernie will take care of the situation and fix it. I went there and Ernie said it's not his fault and it's Hasib's fault and that he (Ernie) will not be fixing the tires. Hasib said he feels bad and he will have his mechanic (Cruz) fix this situation Instead of providing the new tires I was owed and paid for, Cruz installed old, used tires from 2023. The proof was undeniable: one tire had a visible, pre-existing patch on it. This same patched tire went completely flat hours after I drove home I called Cruz immediately and he said to bring the car back and he'll take care of it. At this point, my trust was completely broken. A shop that passes off old, defective parts as a legitimate 'fix' is not a shop that operates with integrity and an excellent standard of service and I refused to waste any more time in receiving a bare minimum standard of service Their solution was minimal and dishonest I would not recommend this shop to anyone

He put some goop on it to stop the sound temporarily and told me when l could bring the car back and when he would have the work finished. I brought the car back to Louie and his team Thursday, my car was delivered to me Saturday as promised and along the way Louie sent me pics and videos of the work. To top it all off he walked me around the car when l got there, showed me all the damaged parts he had to replace. The stellar service did not end there.
